One of the most needed skills in any field is the ability to write. No matter what country you are from, if you know how to speak and write English in particular, you can go a long way. Though not all people from none English speaking country can speak fluently, some do know Basic English. With the help of the current technology, it is easy to correct any written texts through grammar checker.

A grammar check is used to confirm any written text on word document to be free of spelling, punctuations, and grammatical errors. It is programmed to spot mistakes and propose other options to correct the spelling and sentences.

To check the grammar and spelling of text using Microsoft word, you must first open a word document. On the upper middle portion you will see “review”, click it. Then click the “ABC Spelling & Grammar”. A box will pop up and will tell you what needs to corrected. But if your text is perfect, you will see a message containing “the spelling and grammar check is complete”. You will know if you have typed a wrong spelling by seeing a red wavy line under the misspelled word and a green wavy line for a probable grammar error. At the lower left portion, you can see a tiny box with book and pen, it moves as you write. A blue check will appear if there is no error on your text and will have a red X if there is any mistake. This however is for word 2007.

grammar checker is a big help especially if you are writing long texts. Having to write long letters or articles can make your eyes tired and there is a possibility that you create errors, with this, it is easier to detect your flaws. If your computer doesn’t have a checker, you can have it downloaded online.
