Very Disappointing Quality and Customer Service – GX2 with Only 11 Miles
I upgraded to the Gotrax GX2 Electric Scooter after previously owning the Gotrax GX1 Electric Scooter, and unfortunately my experience has been extremely disappointing.
The scooter currently has only 11 miles on it. I received it toward the end of last season and stored it for the winter. When I recently pulled it out to start using it for the spring/summer season, I went to fill the rear tire with air and the valve stem literally came out. That appears to be a clear manufacturing defect, as this is absolutely not something that should happen on a scooter with virtually no use.
To make matters worse, the bell button (the piece you press to ring the bell) also broke off. Again, this is on a scooter with only 11 miles of use. It makes me question the quality of the materials being used.
I contacted **Gotrax customer service hoping they would stand behind their product, but unfortunately they were completely unhelpful and unwilling to resolve the issue.
For a premium scooter like the GX2, I would not expect multiple parts failing almost immediately, and I certainly expected better support from customer care.
At this point I would strongly say buyer beware.
I’m hoping someone from the management team at Gotrax sees this review and takes the appropriate steps to correct the situation, because these kinds of defects should never happen on a scooter with only 11 miles on it.

Defective ebike out of the box and bad customer service
I ordered an E bike and it arrived late and already broken and wouldn't turn on. It was really a frustrating, disappointing experience/first impression from such a well known company (supposedly). I filed a claim right away on their website and almost 48 hours later still no response on how this issue will be resolved. I tried to call their customer service but received nothing besides a prompt to wait for at least 48 hours until their team responds back. She also told me that I will need to pay for shipping if I want to return the broken/defective product back to them according to their T&C (It doesn't make sense and illegal too). And when I finally received an email from them, they asked me to provide them the same information that I already submitted to them through the claim on their website. Please reconsider before ordering anything from them. I was mislead by their marketing scheme for their good customer service bullsh*t.

Well, despite the scooter being shipped from Texas to the WEST coast, it arrived here on the EAST coast when they said it would. And despite the shipping box being literally half-way torn in HALF and obviously dropped hard upon one corner, the scooter was perfectly fine and nothing was missing from the gaping hole. So much for Fed-ex. Now for the scooter:
This scooter is fantastic. It is way more than I thought could be possible for $395 including sales tax and free shipping. It seems to be very well built. It is strong - not a toy. I could not be happier right now.

I love my Gotrax 4
I love my Gotrax 4, my Son owns one, let me operate his and I fell in love with it, it’s lightweight, doesn’t take up much room and gets me to places quickly. The feeling of freedom, it’s fast but not too fast, I purchased accessories, a phone holder and a storage bag for my wallet and other small items. The price doesn’t break the bank, it’s very reasonable!!! Thanks Gotrax!!

My experience with gotrak has been horrible. I got 2 scooters from both of my daughters for Christmas. One of the scooters broke. I have been trying to work with go trak on the warranty.They promised.... however, they will not send a return label to take back, even though I am within my warranty timeframe... Don't buy a go trak......

I don't leave bad reviews haphazardly. I don't like to mess with peoples' livelihood. However, I'm so disappointed with their service. We got a GoTrax scooter that broke almost immediately upon receiving it. The power just didn't turn on after working for a week or so. We sent them a video showing everything and they said they would give us a refund, but we had to ship back the scooter to them with a label they send. The original box was in no condition to send it back to them so GoTrax forced us to purchase a box. Instead of purchasing the box for us, or having the scooter picked up for us, we have to go to a Fed Ex, buy a box and ship the broken product back to them. We went to one Fed Ex and had to go to another one because some do not ship products with batteries. This is a product that you get and it works fine for a while, but then just breaks because it's ultimately poorly made. The customer service was terrible. Never again.

I reached out to Gotrax for assistance purchasing a new tire for my scooter. The associate was polite and professional. He asked for my invoice details and logged all of my info so it would be stored for future needs. Unfortunately the incorrect tire was sent. I was informed they do not accept returns on parts so I was quite upset to learn I may be out the money plus more for a more expensive tire. Fortunately Gotrax support was understanding of their mistake and sent me the correct more expensive tire at no additional cost. This is how you deescalate and turn a potentially negative experience into a positive one. I received the new one timely and all is good.

Not a great buy
I have to say, I would never encourage anyone to buy your products!!! It's not personal to any one person there. But you have zero customer support. I bought my wife the Ultra scooter 2 years ago and it quit working 6 months ago. She loved riding it until the day it just wouldn't turn on any longer. No one in our area will work on it, and now you can't even refund $40.00 for a part that doesn't fix whatever the problem is.
The battery is good and that's the only thing that is. It's a bummer! because now all it is, is a piece of junk!!!
