Asbestos Removal Advanced Environmental

I recently had some asbestos removed by Advanced Environmental in Winnipeg. I found the service to be excellent and reasonably priced. The service tech Mathew was a truly nice guy and a pleasure to deal with. I plan to use them again if the need arises.

Subways at Jane and Norwood in Maple…

Subways at Jane and Norwood in Maple Ontario, tried to take advantage of my 13 year old son he presented a coupon the store would not accept it as it was on Flipp after calling their manager they now said do it on line and we willl give it to you, This is not a customer friendly place, They then took the subs and thru it in the garbage while we were in the store. Wow - never again

Awesome experience

I had the pleasure of meeting the people of G & R Kelly when they replaced my lead water feed through Halifax Waters "Get the Lead out Program", I at first thought it was going to be a week or more of nothing but mess. To my surprise it was nothing but, Mike Sawicki and the team he sent to my house were nothing but proffessionals, and i'm sure it couldn't have gone better. I can't wait to see my new lawn because i'm sure it will be the envy of my neighborhood. I want to thank you so much Mike and the crew you sent, I recommend this company highly

Linda has talent & supports local businesses

Linda had donated her artistic services at a business event. She did a wonderful caricature of me and I still have it! Also, I was organizing a March Break Event for Barrie Carp (I was on the board). Remembering Linda from my business circle and what a great job she did on the caricature, I asked if she would lead the Art event, which was open to all. Linda is organized, punctual, involved and loves to share her knowledge, young and older alike. Linda did a great job and a wonderful time was had by all, including me!

ABOVE & BEYOND the CALL of DUTY!!!

I’m a long time loyal member at the Goodlife in Red Deer, Alberta and I was on a cardiomachine and as I was dismounting my earbud fell out & strangely bounced into the mechanism & gears of the machine, I thought it was lost forever. I informed the staff of my situation and they said to leave it with them, Later that night I got a call from Nicole and Ruby saying they have my earbud. Apparently they spent almost 45 minutes taking the machine apart as they were bound and determined to find that ear bud for me, AMAZING ATTITUDES.

I was pleasantly surprised and this is just a small example of how the entire staff from the GM-Nada, PT-malcolm, Sales-rae & Nick, Front Desk - Stephanie, ruby, nicole & julia & all the others on the Red Deer team...they ALWAYS go the EXTRA MILE!!!

It’s like one big happy WELLNESS family. You've gotta check it out. It’s hands down the best fitness facility in red deer & all of Alberta in my opinion.

I have a positive experience at the Cellular Magician at the Sherwood Forest Mall, London ON. today, April 25, 2022. I just walked in to ask for assistance in solving a problem in using the Play Store which I was having a hard time to login. The staff there was patient and professional in helping me. I was so glad for their help and having the problem solved, without any charges. Thank you, Cellular Magician.

I opted to use this online service for a Rapid Antigen Test for travel as I had to work right up until the evening before I was to fly to the States. In the days leading up to the sheduled appt time, I received 6 emails and 2 texts reminding me of the time of appointment and warning me if I didn't show, my money woudn't be refunded. I called in about 3 minutes before the appointed time to check the sound and camera and waited for the attestor to open the call. And waited. After 15 minutes, I called the number on the website only to reach voicemail, because even though they offer the service in the evenings, there is no one in the office to handle problems such as mine. I then sent an email and received an automated reply thanking me for getting in touch and someone would respond within 24 hours.
The call automatically timed out after 30 minutes. I began checking the places that offer the Rapid Antigen tests for travel. No one was offering walk in or scheduled appointments. The airport offers a service but I was unable to book online, and when I called I only received a voicemail. I texted my daughter to put out an APB on social media to see if anyone could offer up an idea on where I could get another test.
While I was calling back to RT&T, my daughter managed to book the last appointment at the airport for the night. I gave up on RT&T and drove the 40 minutes to the airport to get an 845pm appt and then drove the 40 minutes back.
And then got a taxi back at 330am for my flight out. There was no explanation from RT&T.
They don't seem to understand that their customers are on a finite timeline. We must have a test 24 hours before we fly. As a consultant flying into a client meeting, had I not been able to get to my destination, I would have been out of pocket for my fee and a business class plane ticket. They did refund my money, but wouldn't pay for the other test I had to purchase - which I thought would have rated them 2 stars. Their email responses curt and have just bordered on being rude.
What I thought would be a simple 15 minute call, turned out to be a 4 1/2 hour stress inducing, time wasting, aggravating evening for me.

Special ‘Thank You’ to Jocelyne

Special ‘Thank You’ to Jocelyne, Amelia and Hanessa for their professional and friendly service in purchasing a regular use and sun glasses. There was a problem with the original prescription, which was obtained from another optometrist. We went back to the optometrist and the prescription was changed. Not having confidence in the new prescription, I had another full evaluation done at LensCrafters. The new lenses are now being made. I very much appreciate the help of the LensCrafters team in sorting this out. Things don’t always go as hoped and it takes good people to eventually make it right. Sign Art Center - Guelph

I recently went looking to put signs on a building for our Campaign Headquarters. I asked the people who does work in Guelph and several people suggested Sign Art Center.
I went into their office on Stevenson street and discussed our Project and what we would like. I wanted our Logos on the signs and the name of the Campaign. I had choices on what I asked for and the Graphics were great to the point where we liked all of their work
I discussed it with Coleen and asked her opinion on what they thought was the best option for the location. Colleen asked for the timelines and with in a day the of my timelines work was completed and in a professional and courteous manner
In the night the signs look clean, clear and crisp and basically look awesome to the eye.
I am only sorry I didn't use Sign Art sooner because previous work was not as professional as what we received in a faster turnaround time
Great work from great people is what makes Sign Art Center the place to go for professional ad work and we are supporting local business that deserve it

Blair Ruch - GTA Pool & Spa

I do my best to support small businesses, especially after the impact of COVID-19. I contacted Blair Jordan Ruch (289-208-1874) from an advertisement online. My hot tub was leaking, and I was concerned about freezing in the winter. Blair came to the house for an initial service fee of $120 to be paid via e-transfer. He determined that both pumps needed to be rebuilt. The main pump was approximately one (1) year old. I observed a leak at the connection to both pumps. Blair said he could rebuild both pumps in a day and the water in the hot tub was 104 degrees and would not be subject to freezing. The verbal quote for the re-build and installation was $600. He returned three (3) days later after many text messages and no response. Blair stated that the pipe that enters the main pump broke during installation and had to be replaced. The hot tub was drained. I was planning to clean the tub during the time it was emptied and he offered to do it, "because he was waiting around anyways." I didn't realize that would result in 1.5 hours of additional labour. The pumps were installed and the cost was $1,100. It wasn't ten (10) minutes after he finished that job that the text messages started requesting payment as his, "supplier was waiting for payment." I sent the e-transfer. The hot tub failed to heat up, and several more text messages resulted in Blair sending a friend to my house. The technician told me he was a mechanic and was learning the trade. It was professional and helpful. He determined that Blair failed to connect the ground wire to one pump and the second was incorrectly wired. Once the pumps were re-installed properly, the tub would not head up. Blair was contacted via FaceTime and determined the spa pack required replacement. I was $800 for the spa pack and was told it was his wholesale supplier's cost. I asked about the digital control panel and was quoted an additional $150. The hot tub was working again with a second invoice of $1,182. The text messages asking for payment were five minutes after he left the house. He stated he had to pay his supplier. I sent the e-transfer. I emptied the hot tub on the weekend to perform a deep clean and removed the front cover. I notice the spa pack was old. I contacted the company included in the text message and they never heard of Blair Ruch or GTA Pools& Spa. I emailed the manufacturer and the serial number confirmed it was a 2014 unit. I was also told the spa pack is $755 CND with a digital control panel, spa pack, replacement heater and associated wiring. I contacted Blair and he tried to suggest we agreed on a rebuilt unit. I asked for a copy of the manufacturer's warranty and was told the warranty is with his company. I sent him a copy of our text correspondence that confirmed it was new. I also confirmed a rebuilt unit from the factor was $500 and his response was, "that is what I charge man."
Blair mentioned his shop was previously in Burlington. I was able to determine that the business was called Burlington Pool & Spa and a complaint had been lodged with the Province of Ontario, Ministry of Consumer Affairs.

I contacted several hot tub suppliers in Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville, Halton & Peel Regions and many knew his name and had no kind words.

The company quoted new parts and installed hardware that was 8 years old. The repairs to my pumps were not required and the local spa business' believe the fix was a simple seal.

Sweet paws dog

I don’t know yet if I’m more angry or sad. Just pick my 2 gorgeous puppies from sweet paws dog groomers in Steveston Richmond, to find them completely shaved down to almost their skin. I told her specifically that I did not want them cut short and that I was growing Bailey’s hair to match Fozzy’s. I asked for just a little tidy, paws and potty area clean up. I even put it in writing on the form. I told her that neither have ever been to the groomers before and if they were too scared , then she should call me. She wouldn’t let me wait for them and insisted I leave and come. Back in 2.5 hours.
How does this happen? How does this business even survive with absolutely to regard for their customers requests. Am I wrong, I have no experience with groomers but this seems so wrong to me. They just crank out dogs with the same buzz cut. Steer clear of this place is my warning to you, if you don’t want your babies to look naked . She had no excuse. Just “Oh… sorry😐” I almost cried right there in her shop
