I have no relationship with Loansnap, but they pretended to have my loan and sent a check without explanation.

Got several closing estimates

Got several closing estimates. The thing that won me over, aside from the best rate, was the excellent people I worked with throughout the process.

Responsive Team and Easy Process

The LoanSnap team was quick to respond to my questions which made the whole refinancing process easier and less intimating. Text, email, and by-phone options kept my loan on a fast track. Each document needed for review easy to upload. I wish I had done this sooner!

Very considerate young representative…

Very considerate young representative Lauren did her best to answer every question I had. Timing with LS was a little slow but understandable most of the time. I am already looking for others that may need to refinance so that I may refer them to you!

Overall seems as though LoanSnap is revolutionizing the loan process. They dropped the ball on a couple of minor details but overall fast and effective process.

I was a bit skeptical about refinancing…

I was a bit skeptical about refinancing with LoanSnap because of some of the reviews. But decided to give them a try anyway because they were offering me the best deal and low closing costs and I am SO glad that I did. The whole process was super easy, efficient, smooth and so fast. The communication was great- any question that I had was answered quickly thru the chat and there were no surprises, no hidden fees etc. Everything happened exactly how they said it would. LoanSnap far exceeded my expectations and I am very happy that I went with them!!

Got the loan done

Got the loan done, so all worked out well. I found it a bit frustrating trying to communicate with them. When you did get a "live" person, they were great!

There is only one way to describe this…

There is only one way to describe this process, it was a great experience!! Since the moment I applied for my loan until closing I was mesmerized about how simple this process can be. No hidden stuff, no confusing information, all was straight and clear. Best experience with any lending company. My loan was literally a Snap!!

First time refinance

I had a wonderful experience with Jared and his team at LoanSnap! They answered my questions and guided me through the whole process (which did not take long at all!). Would definitely recommend.

4 Stars - Best for experienced buyers

My overall review is that LoanSnap is a great option for experienced buyers. I will break the rest of my review into categories.

1.) Usability: The online platform is easy to navigate and uploading documents is very customer friendly, with the exception that you can't delete a file once you've uploaded it. This could be a problem if you uploaded an incorrect file for instance. The chat feature is also a convenient option for communication rather than having to email for quick questions.

2.) Speed: The process from start to finish is significantly quicker than working with other lenders (we close in about 18 days). This could be a huge bonus in a multiple offer situation where the seller needs a quick close, or in a cash out refinance if the borrower needs the funds quickly.

3.) Communication: *This is the portion that caused me to only give 4 stars, and to think LoanSnap is best for experienced buyers*.
Pros: The chat feature allows for quick questions and answers.
Cons: Due to the quick nature of the LoanSnap process, there are a lot of "behind the scenes" steps occurring from day to day. If you are a first time buyer who hasn't been through the process before, I imagine you would be quite lost. I have purchased twice before and refinanced once, and I still felt a little bit overwhelmed and confused by the process, and the lack of prior explanation about certain steps. I think more communication up front about what each step looks like, what documents are needed, etc., would be much better for borrowers.

4.) Closing Appointment: LoanSnap works alongside Spruce title company, which is great for making a seamless and timely closing. The notary however did not really seem to "know her stuff" as much as notaries I have worked with in the past. I think maybe a lack of experience is to blame, but she was not able to answer very many of my questions about the documents we were signing. She was not able to explain the 3 day mandatory rescission period that follows a refinance transaction, which led to a lot of confusion and research on my end after the appointment to understand what was going on. I would possibly recommend using a different title company and notary if possible.

5.) The referral or "vouch" program: * This is another reason I'm only giving 4 stars*
Pro: You get $50 per person that fills out information for them
Con: They claim that this is a "vouching" program to make it seem like the information they are collecting is about their current customer. This however is untrue. This process is clearly an attempt to earn new business. They require the people "vouching" to enter their income and social security number, and request permission to preform a soft credit check. They then follow up with multiple communications to those people to try to earn their business. As a result of this, I did not feel comfortable asking my friends and family to "vouch" for me. I think LoanSnap should considering spending this $50 on customer acquisition in another way, because this program seems like such a scam it turns people off. (It almost made me cancel my loan with them and forfeit my $200 good faith deposit.)

In summary, I give LoanSnap 4 stars for convenience and timeliness, but I recommend that first time buyers or those with atypical loans to look for a lender who will be more hands on through the process.

The entire process was fast!!

The entire process was fast and a little confusing, but we made it through in record time, the loan is funded, the refi is done, Dec.27 - Jan 18. The gentleman that did the in-person signing could have been a bit more informative, but were able to get all the info we needed. I would recommend LoanSnap.

Best mortgage/refi experience yet!

My experience with loan snap was great! I loved how user friendly their entire system was. It made uploading the large amount of normal documents you typically have to upload super easy and straight forward. The documents were also reviewed and approved super quickly! I was a little skeptical about using them at first because I had never heard of them before, but I’m very glad I did! They saved me a ton of money and I couldn’t have do e it without them!
