I went through the rigorous process of signing up a few months ago, although I didn't use the service. I was going to pick up a friend from Melbourne Airport, but we decided to make other arrangements. When I signed up there was some mention at the time that I was the beneficiary of some discount. Yesterday 026/07/24, I attempted to go onto goget's website, however, my login wasn't valid. I rang goget and was informed I would have to go through the entire process of rejoining. Lo and behold, there was now a monthly subscription to pay.
The whole experience was seamless. What a genius idea to have rental vans parked at ikea!! Rosalind the van behaved impeccably and I will definitely use her again as she was so easy to drive!

Go Get, get going and take action.
There is a car called Julian located at Bondi. When I am in Sydney I stay very close to this vehicle the location is perfect. Unfortunately, the state of the car is less than anything you could imagine. bird poop all over the outside along with cobwebs and leaves and twigs. Inside it is so dirty ants are coming out of the gear shift and the black box for goget. On each occasion I have reported it to the Goget CSA in the hopes this car can be my go-to, has been. It will be cleaned as soon as I return it and apologies for the state of the car. Reports 2 and 3 go the response "It has been accelerated to priority level and will be actioned. This last time 4th I took photos and sent to Go Get admin. I got an email response from Dane thank you for the repost and here is a $25 compensation, that the maintance of the Go Get vehicles was taken seriously and this car will be cleaned. The following day when Julian the car was supposed to be getting cleaned it was still in its car space. Come on GO GET. - GET Going!! Location is everything in Sydney and I hope you can do the job

Always cars around and easy to book, though ensure to always check the car internally and externally before heading out on your trip when picking up.
Easy to book, lots of locations near me, all works as advertised. My only gripe is that I picked the van up 14mins early - and I had to pay a fine. I think this is a bit silly as no one would pick it up at that time plus I returned it early but no compensation. I think 15minute window for early pick up should be in place.
Prompt customer service. I have been a GoGet member for years and recently had an issue accessing my vehicle. The wait time on the phone was less than one minute and they were able to transfer me to the next nearest vehicle.

I have tried several times to sign up with Goget. Each time, no matter which method I use, I get an Error message IV-9820. I've tried 2 laptops, 2 mobiles, 2 browsers but nothing works. I have been informed that Goget does not want individual customers, only corporate. If you want to run a company, please do it professionally.

I am having exactly the same experience. Been sent an infraction notice for a date I did not have the car. I have sent a copy of GoGet information from their site regarding my use of a car. - time, day and payment details. Their explanation is non sensible and irrational.
I hope I can get an answer for the NSW government before date of payment.

I was having a very bad day. My car broke down on my way to help my son with the uninstall of his art exhibition. I called the NRMA and they towed my car to my usual garage. After lunch, I booked a GoGet car to help my son. GoGet was very helpful throughout the day and made my experience a success. I was not familiar with all the requirements of a GoGet but every time I called for assistance I was greeted with friendly and competent support. I will no doubt be using GoGet again when needed.

Used this service 15-20 times with good results until recently. I was shocked to get a $240 false speeding infringement notice from Fines Vic for a Go Get I did not rent. My Go Get App confirms I did not rent car that day and close family members can vouch for me being with them at time of event. Numerous texts to Customer Service over 2-3 weeks with no response. Plan to cancel my Account

I took out a van membership as we were moving house and wanted the ability to move some awkward shaped and sized items. The process to book the van, access it and get going was extremely easy and straight forward. The van itself had all the mod-cons you’d expect and made driving it a piece of cake, the interior was probably due for a vacuum and general clean, but it wasn’t terrible, just general dust and a few leaves and wrappers in the cargo area. Returning it was even easier than collection!

We needed a van to help move house. There was one 5 min walk away, which took all 170 boxes and misc stuff in 4 loads without protest. Easy to drive and much simpler than renting a van for a day.

I've been using GoGet weekly for over 2 years now (I have spent thousands). Recently I undertook a trip and noticed the fuel was less than a quarter full. Not wanting to miss my appointment I refuelled at the end of my trip.
It turns out GoGet will not give me the fuel credit as it wasn't done in the first 10km or hour (my appointment was a 30-minute drive away). I contacted customer service multiple times to explain my case but they simply would not accommodate me. The last response was that a senior member would call me back. 4 days later I'm still waiting.
It feels like I’m being held at ransom! Either I inconvenience myself and miss my appointment (the reason I booked a specific time) or have to extend the booking to allow adequate time to refuel or be fined for not, all of which cost me extra money!
Shame on you GoGet and your policies!

Amazing idea and implementation. I use GoGets constantly in Sydney to get around and move things. The cars are great and the app, while it has a few things that could make the user experience better, is easy and convenient to use. My only issues have been with the fuel card not working which I hope they will work on bettering in future. Love that no matter where I am in Sydney a GoGet is close to me!

Just completed third booking ... and for the third time had to use my own money to fill the van, despite having told them on each of the two previous occasions that their fuel card wasn't working (wrong PIN supplied). This must be a regular thing ... and hey, why wouldn't they be perfectly happy use their customers' money instead of their own, even if only for a few days? Otherwise happy enough - good plans, all other aspects of their process seem to work OK.

As a loyal customer of Goget for many years, it is disheartening to acknowledge the substantial decline in customer service and vehicle quality over time. What was once a reliable and convenient car share service has regrettably lost its appeal due to a noticeable deterioration in standards.
I recently had the unfortunate experience of using Goget, leaving me with mixed feelings and a significant amount of frustration. While car sharing is generally appealing for its convenience and cost-effectiveness, my encounter with Goget could have been more satisfactory.
One issue I encountered was with Goget's customer service. It could have been consistently better and more responsive, making the entire experience more challenging than necessary. They say they understand one's concerns or issues yet fail to care for the customer honestly. One example among many is the promise of a credit or refund, which never materialised, or a follow-up on a complaint that got lost. After all, the broken glass in the vehicle only left a few cuts on my hands (The car window had been broken and then replaced, but the car was not cleaned afterwards and put back into action...) It has become apparent that customer satisfaction is not a top priority for Goget, a disappointing departure from the standard set by other car-share services.
Moreover, the vehicles provided by Goget were far from impressive. The standards of cleanliness and maintenance were, at best, mediocre. On more than one occasion, I was greeted by dirty and unkempt interiors and exterior blemishes that suggested a lack of attention to detail. It's frustrating to pay for a service and then be met with vehicles not up to par regarding essential cleanliness and maintenance.
The lack of vehicle maintenance was particularly concerning, as safety should be a top priority for any car-share company. It was evident that Goget's fleet needed to receive the necessary care, which raises serious questions about the company's commitment to ensuring the well-being of its users.
My experience with Goget was marked by poor customer service and vehicles that fell short of basic standards. The convenience of car sharing is overshadowed by the frustration caused by unresponsive support and the disappointment of encountering dirty and poorly maintained vehicles. I caution potential users to carefully consider their options and explore alternative car-share services that prioritise customer satisfaction and maintain higher standards for vehicle quality.
