0 stars they are thefts, they steal, they tell you the total is 31.00 and now 44.00 taking out of my account.. they stole money yet again... they cancelled my exam yesterday and never told me I had to pay again.. which resulted in me failing.. I busted y ss off and now I failed.. They have no sympathy., The tech said I am restarting your computer, Ill be on the computer when it re starts.. LIESSSSSSSS I ENDED UP CALLING BCK 17 TIMES FROM NOON YESTURDAY TO 11:46 PM.. BACK ON THE PHONE TODAY..

Absolutely woeful

Absolutely woeful. Was locked out of my exam for the entirety of it, and was provided with very little recourse. When I reached out to my university councillor for assistance, they told me they’d been flooded with calls about the exact same issue all night.
Completely beyond me as to how so many institutions have continually used ProctorU for online exams for years despite thousands of bad experiences documented. Have yet to hear of a single positive experience

If I could, I would give them below 0!

If I could I would give them below 0! ProctorU's service is abysmal. Catastrophic technical glitches and constant interruptions completely froze my system, preventing my exam. The software is deeply invasive, and I am highly suspicious of the personal data they collect. It is utterly irresponsible for universities to choose such an unreliable and privacy-intrusive platform. Students deserve far better.

The worst experience in my life

I genuinely cannot understand why any professional body would use this service.

The proctors were unprofessional, constantly interrupting throughout the exam and creating unnecessary stress instead of providing support. Their behaviour was intrusive and showed a complete lack of understanding of their role. Communication was poor, with limited English skills, and rather than helping, they made the experience far worse.

Their conduct ruined not only my exam but also my day. It is unacceptable that such an important process is entrusted to people who are clearly undertrained, disrespectful, and lacking in professionalism.

I am very dissatisfied with the…

I am very dissatisfied with the proctoring platform. During my exam, I was interrupted five times and asked to adjust my camera. This was a written exam requiring continuous essay writing, and such repeated interruptions seriously disrupted my train of thought. The camera should have been properly adjusted and confirmed at the beginning of the exam, rather than causing repeated interruptions during the test.

Disgrace of a program- sketchy and non functional

As many others have reflected, if I could give zero stars I would. After spending hours and multiple computer restarts trying to access my exam I gave up. They only have one solution to why their system doesn’t work and it’s “your internet connection is bad” even when you test it and it is not. They take over your screen and computer and provide no solution. My final ask after dealing with 6 representatives was “get a new computer”. Are you kidding me? Absolutely abhorrable and sketchy operation. No universities or programs should lower themselves to using this, I’d rather just take a test in person.

Abysmal platform to use for test…

Abysmal platform to use for test taking. Used it maybe 6-7 times and literally have been delayed taking my test for MINIMUM 1 hour. There’s been a time I recall where I waited 3 HOURS to take ONE test.

Continuously said my webcam wasn't…

Continuously said my webcam wasn't working when it was. Spent an hour and a half wasting my time and getting disconnected. Sent to a tech who said its working fine, then back to a proctor who said it's not working. never got to take my exam.

If I could give 0 stars I would

If I could give 0 stars I would. I tried taking the test but there was an error regarding the recording of my camera and connection with the proctor. Mind you, I have verizon wifi so I know its not me. When I tell you guys I went through 7 different agents (who all believed they can fix the problem by taking control, only to lose connection and restart), 2 phone calls and an online 24/7 chat agent just to try to get a refund (which sent me to the same support page I had already tried after explaining the entire issue for the Millionth time). I would never reccomend such product. Wouldn't even be using it if Aceable did not require it to be proctored.

Horrible worst customer service and…

Horrible worst customer service and operating system, I’ve ever worked with. Each time, there was a different freaking problem. Mind you, this was all after passing their equipment test a few times. Horrible, horrible horrible horrible horrible.

i wish i could give 0 starts they wasted a hour of my life still did not get me up and running. i got into the session and had a proctor end it making me restart the the whole thing. worst online experience would not recommend to anyone

Dreadful user support

Dreadful user support, cannot believe this product is endorsed as a university exam software, dangerously allowing full access to systems and leaving household internet vulnerable to malware attacks.

Security threat - Forces you to install software that allows them to "take over" your PC

ProctorU requires that you install software on your PC that lets the proctor "take control" of your PC order to take an exam. This is a massive security issue red flag. All prospective institutions considering ProctorU should avoid this vendor. For business related certification exams you cannot use a work PC due to software conflicts. Their support says you have to use a personal PC. Again another red flag.
