The service guy that came was very quick to see the problem but had to order the parts and will be back Friday morning.

Pool Companies they send out are scammers.
I have a pool & spa coverage - which covers general pool equipment issues.
Each time they send a pool company over to review issues, the recommended contractors report differently on the actual issue. The companies they use in the SoCal area are pretty bad.

I had a bad blower coil and First American and the contractor wanted to charge me $1500 out of pocket and only pay $500 to the contractor for the repair. This doesn't make sense to pay 3 times as much for the repair than FA would pay. Hard to get someone on the phone to discuss about the situation. Never got a call back from supervisor. Then called back and no one wants to talk about a credit for a new unit.

The technician that was dispatched was well informed. Based upon his review of my house plumbing, he determined that replacing the flange unit was not necessary. I spent $125 to get his opinion.
Terrible experience with Frist American. I filed a claim and did not hear from a contractor. Customer Service is of no help and cannot give any answers. Every problem I have is referred to a different department. Now I am being told I have to wait 24-48 hours to receive an email with instructions on how to find a 3rd party contractor and get reimbursed because Frist American cannot fulfill the service. I filled the initial claim a week ago and still have not had any service done. First American did not hesitate to charge the $100 service fee even though no service has been done. I haven't had hot water in a week. Horrible customer service and there is no accountability on their end.

Microwave went out. Took them a month to get a replacement out and it was a much cheaper and smaller model. They wont replace the same microwave and only offer major upgrade options for extra costs. The only free replacement option was a much smaller and cheaper model than the one i originally had.

There was a little confusion on our decision to replace the washer, but in the end, it all worked out and we had our check in the mail a short time later. We are happy with our service. Thank you.

Follow up was great! Tech called me the next day claim was handled fast. The only part that was bad is waiting for parts to arrive no fault of any one involved directly with this claim.

This warranty company is a scam!
I’ve had a terrible experience with First American Home Warranty. I’ve been paying monthly and never filed a claim—until now. The one time I actually needed service, I was charged $125 just for them to review pictures of my washer lid.
The issue was clearly normal wear and tear—the hinge simply broke over time. However, they denied the claim, saying it was due to “forceful damage,” which is completely inaccurate and felt like an excuse to avoid covering the repair.
What’s the point of paying for a home warranty if they won’t stand behind it when you need it? This felt like a waste of money and a very frustrating experience.
I would not recommend this company. Save your money and look elsewhere.

Home warranties get a bad rap all the time - and maybe deservedly - but First American Home Warranty is completely different. We’ve had it for years and been very pleased. Appointments are easy to make without much wait time at all. They follow through with the contract, and if an item can’t be repaired, they replace it. Technicians have all been professional and knowledgeable. Purchasing their warranty has been a great deal for us.

Too many delays and they (Staff on the Phones in South America) make the process very difficult to file a claim. Such a long and timely process just to get feedback and follow ups.
I would have loved to give them a 5 star rating but they truly screwed me in the end of my contract with my Sewage Ejection Pump and plumbing issues. I did have ONE or TWO agents that worked here in America that were very professional and helped me get my claims to move forward but overall, the staff is very difficult to understand and they totally made me lose over $4K in damages due the the delay in finding the proper contractor to perform the work.

I reached out online to FAHW when my garbage disposal quit working.
They quickly sent me a text with the name and number of the plumbing company that had been assigned.
Within a few hours Nation Side Plumbing text me with an appointment for the next day.
Nation Side come out on a Saturday and replaced my garbage disposal within 10 to 15 minutes.
Could not be more pleased at how this all went quickly and smoothly.
