On the whole very good, lost a star because it took a few days longer than expected to get the rubbish and scaffold taken away.

Otherwise all good.

On the whole a straight forward experience. Spoke to a number of Glowgreen staff who were always very polite,professional and helpfull.
Could not fault Matt and Roman who installed our solar panel system,They were both friendly, hard working and done an excellent job with minimal fuss and mess.
Overall a very smooth experience and now gaining the benefits of free electricity.
Only reason gave 4 stars was because messed about by scaffolders who took 5 attempts to put it up, otherwise would have been 5 stars

Just avoid - they will waste days of your life.

Do not use this company it is a sh!show. I normally give people a fair chance but this company absolutely will not respect your time. A 2 day install is currently at over (2months) and will be more - promises promises, we come back tomorrow. (Start of installation 17th June 2026)
Glowgreen just subs everything out to 3rd party contractors. Zero accountability. Every person you speak to - its not their department/job.
They take over half of the payment up front and set up a mandate to take money automatically- so be sure to block it after the first payment.
The list of issues is endless.
Firstly they sell you what you want, then they try to install what they want, regardless of the specification.
The equipment will be dropped off outside your house days before, whether or not you have somewhere to put it, and it's heavy. It is not checked before it comes to you, so it can be damaged or have parts missing. (In spite of the claim that stock is specifically reserved for you).
The scaffold was supposed to take 1 day to erect it took 6. Just promises the lads will be there tomorrow, they weren't. The actual installation was supposed to be 1 day.... - the only communication is that they are not coming or they come do a bit then leave as they have other work to do. The cable entries to the roof space are not secure or sealed and flashed, the roofing felt is damaged, multiple damaged tiles, unfinished bird netting installation, smashed panels (on the rear) durining installation, there is no end in site, zero electrical work done, just a battery mounted on the wall. The helpline and installation team cut you off on the phone.
You will not get a resolution if you get anything it's empty promises and disconnects on the phone.
So I'm still waiting.... waiting for this job to finish. My ref number is at the top if you want to try and resolve this go ahead. Don't just send an AI response that you are looking in to it.
I can't work out if glowgreen just take on too much work they can't do, or if it's the subcontractors. Either way it's not really managed, it seems to be that they "hope" they can do it, rather than they can actually do it.
Important- make sure you inspect every part of the install. Get up on the roof check the cable entries, properly sealed and flashed, check the tiles, check the bird mesh is clipped properly, and cut so there are no holes for birds, check the rails are trimmed and capped. Check the roofing felt for damage, check the panels after install for damage. Check the volts generated on each string with the inverter. Check what has been installed is what you ordered. CHECK EVERYTHING.
Glow green use the electricians to inspect and check the installation - so they are effectively marking their own homework.
On day 3 the entire installation stopped working, (this was corrected via software update using the fox app and the chinese support team). There is also installation trash everywhere- it seems they don't take it away.
Currently been providing the grid 75kwh of electricity a day for free....
Latest fault - FOXX EPS box installed now the installation is drawing 7 times the power from the grid than before the EPS install so 50p rather than 7p. I'm tired of this nonsense installation now.... So the solar installation is now not using any solar its just drawing from the grid.

The quote, design and installation went very smoothly and I was very impressed. We have had the PV for 2 weeks and it is running smoothly.

However, the EV charger that we requested has not been installed, this is managed by a different section of the company and doesn’t appear to be very joined up from a customer perspective. I mentioned this issue in the automated review which tells you that the Glow Green management will be in touch, this hasn’t happened. I have raised a support ticket for which there hasn’t been a response.

There are also 2 other support tickets outstanding which haven’t been responded to, including a request for a forecast for the completion of the documentation pack.

There is an adage that says that the job isn’t complete until the paperwork is done and whilst I accept that it isn’t entirely within their control, a rough idea would be useful. Perhaps, there is no incentive to complete this part because the entirety of the payment has been taken.

The lack of response on the EV charger is a different matter. A 50% payment was made 3 months ago and I have no idea whether the order is still considered to be live or not.

Edit on 8 July - Nothing heard from Glow Green on the outstanding support tickets since their response below. The scaffolding is also still in place 4 weeks after the installation was complete.

Edit on 15 July - I called on the 9th July to chase outstanding issues. The EV charger installation and scaffolding removal was booked in and I received the handover documentation which took over a month to complete, the DNO application was then submitted. The support staff were very helpful when I spoke to them but it feels like that things only get done if you chase them. It really shouldn’t be that way.

Great experience on the installation part. Christian was so helpful throughout and Reece did a great job on a tricky install.

20/08/26 - Alas finish wasn't quite finished. I have been chasing for a copy of the DNO acceptance letter since the work completed and have been given the runaround. The installation shouldn't have started without it. A formal complaint got me a short email response that didn't answer my questions and a call from Customer Success who have since gone completely silent. My solar is very likely illegally connected to the grid.

Glo-green team of fitters were excellent, in all it was a very easy experience. If you need to contact Glo-green there was a quick response.
Overall very pleased how smoothly everything went.

Easy process, affordable prices and clean, expert fitting, at my convenience.

The system has been running perfectly from day one.

Only thing keeping this from 5* was having to reschedule a few times which drew the process out. Once the dates were finally sorted everything arrived when it was supposed to and installation was very quick. The engineer was great, very helpful, listened to how we wanted it to look and talked us through everything at the end. Ensured we were fully set up before they left. Very good system.

The glow green team kept in touch, informing of all updates as I went through the process. On the day the installation team were really professional and friendly, talking through the day and what they were going to do and when, a really good experience

Glow Green were the most competitive quote I received from 6 companies contacted. The sales was zero pressure but with the best technically knowledge sales person in Scott McLachlan. I was involved with the bespoke design of the system were as other companies only offered off the shelf options. Compared to other companies Glow Green provided the most up to date equipment not last years version which some others quoted for without stating this fact. The whole process of quote, design and installation and clearing of site of rubbish and scaffolding was well managed with emails to inform me ahead of time and providing useful information and dates. The installation went well the team arrived on the same day to install the panels on the roof and do all the electrical installation of the inverter, battery and mains connection.

Glow Green Solar just completed the install of my solar system I would have give 5 stars but a few things let them down. But on the day of the install Matt and the guys kept me informed and the job was done in a day, they clean up after themselves and very professional and very polite. Wish I could have given 5 stars but the office needs to work on there comms and listening to the need of the customer rather doing what’s right for the company.

From start to finish great service. Fitters made sure the app was working properly and I could monitor output.

Throughout the whole process from initial contact to the final completion of the installation of our solar panels the staff at Glow Green Solar were very helpful and were always available to answer any questions that we had. There was no pressure to purchase the panels and they provided three different quotations for us to consider with full breakdowns of what was needed and the expected payback over time. There was a small delay to our installation but on the day despite appalling weather the engineers completed the installation in just over half a day. All in all the whole process was straightforward and completed satisfactorily and we are pleased with the installation. I would certainly recommend Glow Green Solar as our experience has been very positive.

I would recommend Glow Green because they say it as it is. The workmanship was 100 per cent clean and tidy.
I also like the quality of the panels and nothing was too much trouble.

Glowgreen were fantastic from start to finish. Everything was managed professionally and courteously from the first phone call to get a quote and right the way through the installation and setup process. I would highly recommend Glowgreen as the only company to go to for solar panels and battery storage.

Great service from the first enquiry to installation. Price was very competitive and the actual installation was very professionally done. The team were friendly, kept me well informed as they were doing the install and took me through its operation on completion. All left very clean before they departed.
