Since the minute the deposit was taken, the experience has been awful. Emails go unanswered for days, telephone calls not received when promised, installation date moved with no consultation, scaffolding put up blocking a public footpath, told verbally EDDI would cost £400, then it’s £800 on the quote (costs £350 to buy independently), delivery lorry with panels was too big to get down the road, then delivery comes on a small van and they say I have to unload it! Would cancel if not so far down the line. Dreading the installation as based on experience to date, it will be a nightmare.
Update: Glow Green contacted me soon after writing this review. Amazing, given how impossible it was to get an email from them. Installation has been a nightmare. Scaffolders had not provided a pulley, so the installers (I think they are contractors, not Glow Green employees) could install the battery and inverter, but not the solar panels as they can't get the kit up on the roof. Multiple calls and emails and was told the pulley would be with us Wednesday latest. Nope, not here, now tomorrow, apparently. Not holding my breath.

Great turn around on delivery, installation. System working perfectly month on.

The process from beginning to end was straightforward. The installers Adam and Mike were excellent. Explained everything, worked to a high standard, friendly and chatty.
My only grievance is the scaffolders didn’t turn up when they said they would which put everything back by a week.

No communications at all since they received our deposit months ago. We were told that once the deposit was paid, the solar panels would be installed no later than this week. We chased up today and were told that no installation page was created and therefore we are nowhere near to receiving the panels or having them installed. We were promised a call back today and low and behold.. that hasn't happened.
You have scammed us out of money and don't seem to think this is an issue.

All aspects of the installation went. Well. We had an initial problem in the first couple of days which was resolved quickly.

My experience with Glow Green has been terrible:
Supposed to install (over 1 day +/- a few days either side for scaffolding) in early Spring. It's now late summer & it's still not over:
They didn't turn up on the day for scaffolding erection
They took several days over several weeks to get the scaffolding right
During so many roofers would turn up and refuse to do the work (or they'd just no-show)
They took about 8 weeks to get round to install the panels
They took several days over several weeks to install all (14) solar panels
They outright lied about the reasons for the delay
They spent another few weeks (and still going) to get the paperwork to have the daily feed-in from the panels that is going to the grid remunerated
The complaints process found GG entirely at fault but only offered 60% of the calculated compensation as promised by them early in the process
In short, I have found them to be utterly useless. They have friendly phone operators who will promise you everything (e.g. callbacks that never happen) and apologise incessantly, but basically they come across as incompetent and ineffectual. They may be cheaper than some and the installation and equipment once installed works, but the latter is a function of the equipment manufacturers and the people who turn up to install not being imbeciles, and not because of GG. I have learned the hard way that GG are basically co-ordinators of subcontracting & are a glorified sales outfit. They don't actually make anything, or install anything. That's why there's no proper co-ordination between their office and the coalface. Finally, most of the workers that turn up have indicated that these problems are common, and it's a result of GG having bitten off way more than they can chew. One of the electricians that turned up even quit the job half way through, telling me the GG boss is hopeless.

The engineers who came round were fantastic, they ran into a couple of problems but kept me updated with what was happening. They might have minded me sticking my nose in but they never felt me unwelcome in my own home.
Jack, the person I talked to over the phone was a great salesman and I really appreciated his honesty. It helped me feel I was making the right choice.

Very happy with the service, installation, product, and staff help and friendliness, and recommend Glow Green. Workmanship was clean, tidy and efficient.
Without going into detail, it gets a 4 as communication could improve across all stages of install - everyone was very helpful and no issues with service or quality when each stage was done, but communication was lacking.

Ok, ill preface this review by stating I don’t work for, have never worked for, and have no affiliation with this company other than as a customer. Now that’s out the way, Ill take you on my journey with this business. It starts as a tentative enquiry, via their website, after browsing around for a reputable company. Within a day or so, I got a call from them following up on the enquiry, and walked me through all the various options available to me, the different costs, and their associated pro's and cons. This was then emailed to me to review at my leisure, and benchmark against others quotes. Note, no hard sell, no trading up tactics, just facts provided.
So, I agreed on a solution, (14 panels + high capacity battery), they helped with the math vs my electricity bills based on current usage and tarriff, and gave me some finance options to look at overall financial payback, which is good.
All this to say I could make an unhurried, un pressured informed decision based on facts. I went ahead and placed the order. The finance was straight forward, and competative, and the service and documentation received very quickly. Within 3 weeks of the order the scafolding went up, and within a week after that their fantastic fitter installed the kit, walked me through it and the battery app, leaving me with a home that is at the moment generating a surplus of power back into the grid!
Add to this, ill receive certification in the next few weeks, to allow me to get a credit back from my energy supplier for the net positive energy I am generating, not to mention being able to top up my battery at night on my night time tariff, all adds up to a solution that pays for itself, and after the finance will save me thousands. I would not hesitate to recommend this company if you are looking into this yourself.

The people who installed my solar panels and associated equipment where extremely professional and explained everything they were doing, and the system works perfectly, what more can you want. Brilliant.

System installed 2/7/26
Firstly, all of the work is contractor based. Origionaly the scaffolders didnt show up, then turned of a few days later. then the electrician didnt turn up, a different one showed up the day after, without scheduling with me, i wasnt in......
The electrician that did show up was great, the scaffolders just moaned, and the roofers left all the rubbish behind, quoting, glowgreen send someone to pick it up.
The scaffolders also randomly showed up to take everything away, withput prior notice, my pregnant partner was very upset at 2 random blokes letting themselves onto my property, if i hadnt answered her call, she wouldve rang the police
The "premium" panels arent bifacial.
Everythings now up and running, the system itself is working fine, i wouldnt choose duracell again though, the app is rubbish, shows the flow of electricity, but only shows snapshots whenever it feels like it, so you dont actually know what its doing until the day after when the graph has updated
NOW
Im still chasing paperwork, again and again
I had to chase up for the handover pack,
Ive finally got them
Now im still waiting for them to send the commissioning documents to NationalGrid so i can get the DNO acceptance letter to send to octopus
Ways to improve
-Your premium products, arent premium
-keep close eye on contractors, maybe an app for them that shows jobs? This could also include locations and photos for them to upload for your records
-maybe have another look at "Premium" products
AND SORT THE PAPERWORK!
STILL WAITING! OVER A MONTH!
Ive had someone call asking for feedback she was lovely and managed to get me the handover pack
Had another asking if everything is ok, it is not, he said he would chase up the paperwork, ive heard nothing
Ive now lost a months worth of export.....

I chose Glow Green because I trusted their expertise to design the right solar and battery system for my home. Unfortunately, my experience has left me feeling disappointed.
From the beginning, I provided information about my household and expected Glow Green to recommend a system that met my long-term energy needs. The system I was sold quickly proved to be undersized, and I have since had to purchase additional battery storage. Glow Green now claims the original design was based on an annual electricity usage of 2,000 kWh. My actual household usage is around 6,500–6,600 kWh per year, and I have asked them to provide evidence of where this figure came from because I do not believe I ever supplied it.
The sales process was excellent while I was deciding whether to proceed. Megan was responsive and communication was quick. However, once I had paid my deposit, I felt the level of customer service changed considerably. Emails and phone calls that had previously been answered promptly became much harder to get responses to.
The overriding impression I was left with is that securing the sale became the priority. Before I committed, communication was excellent, responses were almost immediate, and I genuinely felt like a valued customer. Once payment had been been made, that changed dramatically. Responses became slower, communication became more difficult, and the level of support I had received during the sales process disappeared.
As a result, I was left feeling that the focus had been on winning my business rather than ensuring I received the right system and the level of after-sales service that should accompany an investment of over £9,000. In my experience, customer care appeared to take a back seat once the contract had been signed.
The planning stage was particularly frustrating. Morgan, from the planning team, was often difficult to contact, and I received information that I found to be inaccurate or incomplete. This led to unnecessary confusion and delays throughout the installation process.
There were also several issues with delivery and scheduling, and I felt I was often left chasing for updates rather than being kept informed.
I was also disappointed with the design process. When I raised questions about the layout of the system before installation, I felt my concerns were dismissed and was simply told that the engineer would deal with it on the day. For a purchase of over £9,000, I expected a much more detailed and professional design service.
To Glow Green's credit, they did provide a second battery and an additional panel at a discounted price as a gesture of goodwill, which I appreciated. However, I still feel the original system should have been specified correctly from the outset, avoiding the need for further expense.
Overall, while the installation itself was completed to a high standard, the communication, planning, design process and after-sales support fell well below the standard I expected.
Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend Glow Green and i have rated there services a 1 star. If you are considering using them, I would strongly encourage you to carefully check the system they are designing before signing any contract, and ensure you are confident that the system genuinely meets your long-term needs as they only care about getting the sale completed.

Took a while to schedule in the works, but the install went very well. My engineer mike went above and beyond on the day, when I had an internet issue he waited around until openreach finished installing a new overhead cable, in order to finish configuration on the app.

From start to finish this process has been very easy. No pushy sales pitch, recommend system install options provided in writing for me to choose what suited us best. Once we had picked what we wanted, the install arrangements were simple. Installation was completed within the day and was a clean and tidy install. The installation team were friendly and polite. I cannot comment upon after service, as it has only been installed a few days. On the whole I would recommend this company and their installation team.
