Dymo Connect has got to be the worst software I've ever used. I don't know what they were thinking with this garbage but the V-8 software absolutely smacks, and this Connect junk is the worst. I can't... See more

Avoid Dymo at all costs

Avoid Dymo at all costs! Got the 550 model. Terrible networking (both wireless and wired) and doesn’t even detect its own genuine labels as genuine. Even if you are willing to pay the extra cost. Countless hours spent stuffing around trying to get it to redetect the labels THAT IT CAME WITH. Outperformed by an 8 year old Brother.

Do not buy new models with DRM.

One of the companies I advise was just about to replace their label printers with the new Dymo 550 model until I learned from Dave at EEVBlog on YouTube that this model contains DRM. This forces you to use genuine Dymo labels - which of course are many times the cost of compatible labels. Even genuine older Dymo labels won't work. Their official reply says this "emerged from needs of our consumers", which is of course complete bull. If that were the case, they'd make it a selectable option - which it isn't. DO NOT BUY THESE RIPOFF NEW MODELS.

Garbage Software

The old dyno software was good but now they have updated it to a new one and its utter, utter garbage. Has features missing such as data import. Yet when you look at the user guide it explains how to import data yet the feature is physically missing from the software, show stupid!

Sort it out Dyno, we have 10 label machines in our office and all now pretty much useless due to the new software.

Unprofessional

Advertise a software version on the website compatibility table - then tell you later that it's got a bug and won't download data from Excel. Cowboy outfit? I think so.

I have had a DYMO 450 Duo for many years. All of a sudden, it has stopped printing. The labels come out blank. In the past, I have called DYMO and received excellent customer support. This time, when you click on help or customer support - nothing happens. And the website has no phone numbers for support.

Advice "DO NOT BUY"

The software is ok, the printer is shocking for connection, sometimes it will work for a few days sometimes a couple of weeks but then doesn't work at all, I have to remove and restart each time. The wifi never has worked even though sometimes it connects in setup mode, Now it's just not printing anything just spits the label out each time I attempt to print a label.

It has always been a burden but due to how much I paid i couldn't just buy another! absolutely sick of this printer 450 WIFI version.

Take my advise do not buy a DYMO

I purchased a Dymo Turbo 450

I purchased a Dymo Turbo 450. I can't use it on my Mac. The driver loads, but the software crashes. I tried everything. I can't get in touch with tech support via email, phone, or their website. So frustrating. Back to the Tz labels, I guess. Bummer. I'm returning it today.

Dymo Label Manager PnP Plug and Play Label Maker

I have used Dymo equipment for years and I have LabelWriter 450 and a 2 x Plug and Play Label Managers that have failed twice due to faulty batteries. I was not aware that this was a common fault until I started to look at some of the reviews for this item. I must admit that I was very surprised at how many people had suffered from battery failure and the printer will not work without a working battery so it is useless. The cost of a new battery is around £30 and when I wrote to Dymo and asked if they had sorted the battery problem out the offered me one for £17.00 as a good will gesture.
As I only use this printer occasionally - it does not get a great deal of use but I can't see the point of purchasing another battery that could fail in another 2 years so I will be purchasing a Brother Printer as a replacement as their review appear to be much better.

LOOK FOR ANOTHER MANUFACTURER

LOOK FOR ANOTHER MANUFACTURER. My Card Scanner rendered useless after they dropped the software. My laptop contracted the Blue Screen of Death. I had to reload the program in both my old and new laptop. Can't be done. Huh!! No big deal. I just lost my over 700 business cards info. Everyone I've communicated with at Dymo's really sorry. That and a dime will get you a jam sandwich. My advice, don't do business with them.
Update: July 13/20. Dymo contacted me and made a compensate offer of a label printer and tape cassette.
Given this experience, at least they did something to make me happier in the end.
