Blamed for faulty lids

I ordered hundreds of jars in different shapes with lids. Order arrived quite quickly but I was unable to close tightly hexagonal jars. After contacting their customer service I was blamed for over tightening the lid despite explaining that I had no issues with a single jar in other shape. I am left with 100 jars that can’t close and feeling of guilt after getting a response. Won’t be ordering again, sorry…

Avoid this utterly atrocious business

I really wish I'd seen the Trustpilot scores for this company before ordering with them, because I can only echo the experiences of their other unfortunate customers... I seem to be at the "luckier" end of the spectrum as my order arrived about 8 days later, but I received no indication that it had been dispatched, no tracking number, nothing. All of my emails and messages via their website Contact Form have gone unanswered. The quality of the bottles is...acceptable for the price, although I had to trim the dip tubes to the correct size which feels extremely sloppy. The only expensive (relatively speaking) item in my order was missing and seemed to have been substituted for a much much cheaper alternative, without a lid. Needless to say, radio silence from Glass Bottles on this matter.

What I find most offensive about all of this is that clearly this company has a proven track record of substandard communications and processes yet this is being allowed to continue by its directors. Part of me thinks they aren't worth the effort in trying to seek a correction, that ultimately they will lose out on future business as a consequence of their inaction. But reading through all these dreadful reviews makes me angry at the thought of other people innocently making the same mistake I did. So I'll be referring Glass Bottles to Trading Standards for their unbiased objective assessment and perhaps then the directors can be held accountable for their myriad inexcusable failings.

Avoid unless you're not in a hurry

Jars arrived very well packaged and were reasonably priced. And that's the only good things I can say. I placed my order on 26th August and it said 3-5 working days dispatch. I received my order on 7th November nearly 3 months later. I had tried emailing them in the interim but got no reply. I'd just started a charge-back on my credit card when the jars turned up out of the blue, no dispatch notification or anything. 100% would not recommend.

Bottles sold with lids that don't fit the bottle properly. Customer service was quick and replacement lids were delivered... BUT still don't fit properly. Bottles with lids are not fit for purpose (leaking on testing) so would recommend only using this company if you need open bottles...

on 21/11/2022 I ordered 2 15ml bottles…

on 21/11/2022 I ordered 2 15ml bottles which came to £1.32. Shipping then was £13 on top of this... This would have been fine if they had arrived in the next couple of days...

At the time of writing this review (05/12/2022) they have still not arrived.

I queried this with support on 29/11/2022 and this was their reply:

Good morning,

The goods are due for delivery today via dpd local.

Our current despatch times are 7 working days and we did despatch on the 6th working day.

As you order was placed on the evening of the 21st this is not counted as a working day and we do not count the weekends sorry.

Not exactly the most sincere or accurate support experience. Needless to say that I will not be doing business with this company again which is a pity for them, as these 2 were samples which, should the company have proved to be reliable would have led to an initial order of 5000 units, repeating monthly...

Wrong bottles sent, no communication, lost £11.

I've ordered from glassbottles.co.uk in small amounts and occasionally over 5+ years. The orders have always been fine until now. My last one, I ordered larger quantities of various things and they sent me the wrong style of 100ml amber bottles which do NOT fit the pumps that come with them - they were ordered as a set from their site, not ordered separately, so the fault is not at my end and I definitely ordered the right product. After an initial email from someone called Dave implying they would sort it out straight away, I have had no further replies to my two or three subsequent emails at all (it's been 3 working days now and no reply). So I am down £11, have 14 wrong bottles I don't know what to do with, am missing 14 bottles I actually need, and have had to order them from elsewhere as I have a product launch soon and need the right bottles. I'll phone them on Monday to chase this up and change my review if there is a satisfactory outcome, but as it stands, I won't be ordering from them again, and judging by the negative reviews I've now read elsewhere, I won't be recommending them to others at all. I liked them because I could order small and single quantities, but the compromise appears to be putting up with being ghosted, and losing out on money. No deal. I'll pay a higher initial outset and order a larger baseline quantity elsewhere.

Paid over 2,000 pound for stock that never arrived. Promised a number of times and still waiting 3 months later .. Had to order elsewhere and now in process of taking them through the small claims court . Left a bad taste in my mouth.

Terrible service

Terrible service. They were out of stock of my item but failed to let me know or provide any update on the order at all, which left me in a sticky situation as they were urgently needed by the delivery deadline. Couldn't tell me when the item was coming in.

Got my order today after a month since…

Got my order today after a month since the bottles I've ordered was not instock. I rang them on the 09.03.2021 and replace my order with another product they have instock. Mandy was very helpful, I got three extra bottles and within 2 days I recieved my bottles. I will definitely buy from Glassbottles again! Thank you for your great service!

Great service and prices

I'm very pleased with the service I received from Glass Bottles, having placed my first order with them.

I ordered 40 jam jars with lids, for a very reasonable price. Communication during the course of my order was very good.

The jars arrived a few days later, very well packaged, though two of the jars had been damaged in transit. I contracted customer services and quickly received a response telling me that replacements would be sent. These arrived today too.

A happy customer, I'll have no hesitation ordering from them again.

Great source for wholesale jam jars

Ordered 51x 370ml Clear Glass Oval Jar & Twist Off Lid - Black Button on 2nd August, delivered on the 7th by DPD. Was very pleased with the order, came exactly as expected, used these jars for jam making. Survived heat sterilisation and made good seals. Would recommend to anyone seeking to make bulk quantities of jam.

Squat Jar with Twist Lid

My initial order was received in a timely manner - 5 days. After bottling my product, I noticed the oil had leaked slightly from a few jars. I spoke to Dave - Office Manager who was extremely polite and helpful. After a few emails, Dave confirmed he would send out replacement lids, which again was received promptly. I am extremely happy with Glass Bottles and the service I received from them, I will continue to order my jars from them. 5** service.

AVOID!

Completely messed up our order. Expect NO CONTACT WHATSOEVER when placing an order. They do not even have the decency to send you a "thank you for your order" email. We had no email about dispatch, we had to call them and they stated it would arrive on Monday. Tuesday we called to find out that our order had been returned to the warehouse. They then never resent our order we had to call again to remind them. When finally received our order there were bottles missing and no lids.

There was no urgency from their side to correct this issue and we are still left waiting for our order. Might i add again, no email updates whatsoever and every phone call (6 in total) we asked for email confirmation.

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! Lack luster throughout and can't get a simple order right.

well i panicked after making an online…

well i panicked after making an online transaction late at night, forgot shipping and billing address were different. Called the mobile number phone was clearly but i panicked as i decided it was being forwarded.
Gave the landline a try just to see if it was real and i could leave a message. as i was greeted with a rather tired confused voice. bless her i had woken her up. she asked me if the shipping address was the same i came to realisation and she reassured me it wont have gone through and will be released from holdings. so my mistake and she was rather understanding and pleasant.as my first order i cant afford mistakes as a start up business. on that basis alone i will rate this company highly as this particular staff member clearly goes above and beyond outside of work hours too! Im quite ashamed. thank you kind lady. will resume purchase tomorrow, i feel in good hands. looking forward to establishing a good relationship with company as our supplier.

Never received my order

Never received my order. they said they shipped my order a week and a half ago and my account says they delivered it. however I never received anything and they refuse to give me my track and trace code. Liars! Watch out for this company!
