Loved this trip and everything about it! Met the best people in the community of Jiquillio Nicaragua and the best people who were on the trip with me. The food was always AMAZING, the activities we did we SO fun, and the discussions we took part in every night were SUCH important topics! LOVED every single second of this trip
Traveling to Tanzania with Give was easily the best decision of my life. I found this company online and was unsure about legitimacy. I was completely blown away by structure and safety of the trip. I felt completely comfortable and safe to grow and making lasting impacts. This trip company and experience have completely changed my life and I am so grateful to have had this opportunity.
This was definitely the best trip I’ve ever been on. It’s much more personal than traveling as a regular tourist. The unforgettable connections you make with the people in the communities you volunteer in make you never want to leave. I’ve learned many lifelong lessons that I will carry on with me for the rest of my life. I will definitely be volunteering again with GIVE.
Sign up for an adventure not a vacation! A life changing experience with the best group of people. I got to meet locals and immerse myself in their culture. It’s the total package if you want to learn, grow, and do fun activities.
My GIVE trip to Laos was unforgettable. From teaching the kids of Sop Chem English and cleaning/planting in the permaculture lot to learning about the culture of Laos, it was two weeks I’ll never forget. It was so eye opening to experience such a different way of life from that which is lived in the States. I gained a new perspective on self-respect and had an incredible time embarking on new adventures every day. I can’t wait for my future GIVE trips!

The guides were very trustworthy and checked in with us often. The excursions were all cool and fun, and the trip truly gave me a new view of life. 100% recommend a GIVE trip if you’re up for adventure and giving back to the world.
My experience was great because of the awesome guides and the places we stayed. I learned so much, it was well organized, and I had fun.
Through GIVE I met like-minded individuals and friends for a lifetime. I wish everyday I was back with those people, in Thailand doing volunteer work. I couldn’t recommend it enough!!
My daughter went on her first Give Trip to Thailand this summer and she had the absolute best time. The organizers helped me feel comfortable as a parent to allow my daughter to travel so far away, they patiently answered all questions and made it very simple.
My daughter had an absolutely incredible time. She learned so much about the Thai culture and has such respect for it. She loved her guides, the friends she made and the experiences. She didn’t want to come home.
Very well done!

My son had such an amazing experience in Thailand! He wants to go back ASAP! He loved all of the activities, the culture, the guides, the camaraderie of the participants and the locals. It was the best experience of his life he would tell you! Bravo Give!!

GIVE made the travel aspect so easy. All of the logistics were carefully planned and thought out, so all we had to do was show up and experience everything around us. The volunteer projects were fun and fulfilling, and it is so clear how much the locals appreciate and love GIVE.
Literally everything was good about this trip. I’m from Belgium so my first language is not English and I was a little nervous about that. From the moment I arrived everyone was very kind and patient with me. If I did not understand something they would explain it with a smile :). Never felt more loved than I did on this trip. The guides took care of a lot of things (like collecting passports) so we did not have to worry about small things like that. I loved the volunteering but also loved the free time we got (there was a lot of free time/time where you weren’t volunteering).
The Tanzania give trip was life changing for me. Being able to see how happy the local people were based on their sense of community and support for one another was inspiring. I also had the most incredible guides that were so kind caring and made me feel more like family than a volunteer. 10/10 would recommend Give to anyone and everyone!
GIVE is such a great way to experience so many life-changing opportunities in just a few weeks! I have been to Thailand and Tanzania and loved both trips a lot! The guides are also very caring and know what they are doing! Highly recommend!

Overall the trip was amazing. You really get emerged into the culture, and learn about the people you’re helping. There’s a lot of team bonding which I thought was great. It felt rewarding and gave more perspective in life.
Honestly one of the best experiences of my life. I went to Tanzania with GIVE and every day I wish I could go back. The guides are amazing and the memories I made are priceless. If you’re thinking about booking a trip please do you won’t regret it.
GIVE was an incredible and eye opening experience that everyone should try and it will truly change your perspective of life and encourages you to really think about how you want to impact the world in a more positive way.
This trip was absolutely amazing!
Give is great with bringing groups of people together who wouldn't otherwise have met, you truly form lifelong friendships on these trips and leave a piece of your heart in Nicaragua.
Our give guides Mike and Moses (plus Julia!) were amazing and made sure everyone was feeling okay before every worksite. When people hadn't slept, felt sick, or had some stomach trouble they made certain they had whatever they needed. One of the first nights I couldn't sleep at all and opted to sit outside to not wake my roommate. The hotel staff were extremely kind and came by to check on me as did Moses. The next day when I was finally able to sleep for a few hours after lunch, missing job assignments, Mike put me with the education group so I wouldn't be working in the sun that day.
Throughout the trip everyone in our group truly took care of each other with sunburns, bug-bites, scrapes, etc literally any supplies became shared as we were all in it together.
Now that thats out of the way, Jiquilillo is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen and not just because of the environment but the people. Monty's surf camp became a home to everyone there, the staff became family, and you leave a piece of your heart when you leave.
For anyone wondering about accommodations they are VERY nice. Every roommate pair gets a room with three (comfy) beds and mosquito nets plus a fan which is a godsend on humid nights. The ladies will change your sheets and clean your rooms every few days. Which was wonderful when sand and work mud inevitably got on the floor and in the bathroom. Allen the hotel manager is so kind and will make sure you have whatever you need.
The worksites we did were construction, gardening, education, and mangrove reforestation. Each one was genuinely a fun time with music and water breaks (even when we didn't think we needed one). I mainly did education in the afternoons alongside construction in the mornings. I wasn't originally planning on doing education but after one time I had to come back. The kids are brilliant (obviously) and really want to learn. Some are shy at first but once you get to know them you become attached at the hip. Moses (from Chinandega) was a brilliant teacher and got the kids to open up. After class we would head outside to play futbol, kickball, climb trees, have tickle wars, piggyback rides etc.
When our last day came everyone was very emotional leaving the kids. If you go on this trip and try education please enjoy it and let the kids learn and have fun because while we aren't there for very long we have a big impact.
This trip is impossible to fully put in a review because there are so many magical moments to mention. If you are on the fence about doing it DO IT. This was my first give trip as a fresh highschool grad and I thought I would do one and move on to worldpackers but no.
Give for life
The connection with the locals and relationships you build do not happen anywhere else.
This was such a unique experience that allowed me to learn more about conservation and the importance of mindfulness about the land that we live on. I was able to learn more about the Snoqualmie tribe while responsibly working and recreating in their landscape. The people I’ve met are so special and as passionate as I am! The volunteer work and experiences that we accomplished in such a small period of time was truly inspiring and got me thinking about a career in conservation and sustainability.

Traveling to Southeast Asia with GIVE was a very positive and impactful experience! I was blown away by the hospitality and love the locals showed us immediately upon arrival! I’m grateful for the chance to learn from the locals and support and empower their communities. The guides were clearly passionate about this program and very organized. They taught us about global citizenship and sustainable travel, which are things I’ll continue to practice in the future. There was a good balance between volunteering time (English education and permaculture), adventure activities, and free time. This trip was a great way to connect with like-minded people! I can’t possibly sum up the most wonderful 4 weeks of my life into one review, but I strongly encourage anyone who is hesitant about traveling with GIVE to take the leap of faith… you’ll be so glad you did! I just left Southeast Asia, and I already can’t wait to go back!
