I found Girlings most helpful regarding renting a flat from them very polite and efficient nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend them to anyone .

flat was excellent and very professional.
My two main contacts were Ian andRachel who were exceptional, hence my 5* rating.

All Girlings staff are always friendly and helpful. Can’t fault them . Who else sends ‘welcome ‘ and Christmas cards to their tenants??

Quite expensive and so many rules and regulations it is unbelievable.

One has to go through a major rigmarole to actually acquire accommodation, for an elderly person, whom they service, it is quite traumatic.

I have been very pleased with my entry to Homebredy House, Bridport about six weeks ago. The apartment has been well decorated and furnished with new carpets, etc.
The Manager is most helpful and all the other residents I have met so far are very pleasant and I have already joined in some of the activities.
There are still one or two small problems, for example the water from the off peak supply is hardly warm, but I am sure the plumber will sort this out soon.

Very poor service quality and maintenance issues right from the start of my tenancy.
The flat I rent was not cleaned or checked properly before I moved in, despite it being empty for a year. The WC was evidently fitted incorrectly some time ago and has now been blocked and unusable for TEN DAYS out of the 14 days I've been here. I'm forced to use a visitors' WC two floors below. Not good in the middle of the night.

Residents in their 60s, 70s, 80s and beyond pay Girlings and their landlords handsomely for a property that should have NO maintenance worries in old age.

I can't believe this company is allowed to be in business in the retirement sector and cannot recommend them to anyone.

The office staff couldn't be more patient and helpful and being able to stay in a guest room overnight when viewing was a bonus

The assistance and communications received from Daniel Anderson of Girlings rentals , Taunton ,when taking out the tenancy could not have been bettered.
I consider the rent payable is fair.
I have not given a 5 star rating as at the moment I have had no experience of how any problems or faults arising with the apartment will be dealt with.

Girdling answers all my questions by return of email/ phone call knowledgeably and showed a deep understanding of the problems clients face when preparing to move

It would have been five if it had not been for the niggling problems we encountered after moving in,however that said we now enjoy the best of service.
