Unreasonable

Having been presented with a £30 voucher from work, when I redeemed it for a voucher to be used at Aldi, I was charged £1.50 admin fee, so basically I only received £28.50.
If this going to happen then those companies should not be on the list of choices.
Very unfair.

Digital gift cards are generated and usually sent within 1 hour of purchase. Sometimes the email might end up in the spam folder or promotions folder, so it's worth checking there. It can sometimes be hidden on mobile devices, but if you log in via a desktop, the Promotions folder should be visible.

Very quick and easy to use.

Needed a birthday present for my nan so bought her a gardening gift card so she could buy some flowers. I could've bought them myself but they wouldn't have survived due to my lack of skills.

The code was sent extremely fast and I was able to gift her a pleasant surprise. Will use again!

Terribly complicated.

Terribly complicated for something that should be easy. Elderly parents had no chance at understanding how to use the digital voucher with no instructions provided. When you receive the email you cant just use it, you have to register on a different site and apply for your card number and pin. I also got charged a card fee which wasn't on my final bill or disclosed at anytime. Stay away!

Regarding the fee you were charged: some banks may treat the transaction as a cash advance. That can lead to a cash‑transaction fee and interest being added by the bank. This based on the Merchant Category Code we’re assigned to, so it’s not something we’re able to control.

However, our finance team can refund both the cash fee and any interest your bank applied. Please email our support team at support@giftcards.co.uk and we’ll guide you through the information we need to arrange the refund.

It didn’t arrive! Once I contacted the company it was put right very quickly but if I hadn’t asked the recipient if she’d received it we wouldn’t have known.
