Fast and good quality

I ordered a custom personalised mug, after seeing an advert on Facebook. Within a week, they printed, packed, and delivered it to my address in the UK.

Refuses to replace lost orders when…

Refuses to replace lost orders when obviously lost by Royal Mail.

There's nothing more to it than that. I ordered, Royal Mail lost it, it was pre-Christmas, they refused to do anything meaning a gift is no longer going to be under the tree.

Customer service emails have that strange "English as a foreign language and we ignore the Consumer Rights Act" tone too.

I wouldn't bother if I were you.

Endless line of questions

The process is all about stalling the process.

Giftcable:
"Can I get you to confirm your:
- Day of birth
- Month of birth
- Year of birth
- Age (in years)"

You already had it. But I provide again.

Giftcable:
" have the opportunity to offer you a few alternative welcome gifts if you wish. You can choose from the following options.

- 10 mixed rolls of Mentos
- 5 tubes of Colgate toothpaste
- 3 Stress-out CD's"

A tablet for rolls of Mentos!?

Gifttable:
"Thank you for your feedback. Can you make a final confirmation that the address the gift should be shipped to is:

Bla bla
blah street
8000 Aarhus
Denmark

When I get a confirmation from you i'll ship the gift right away."

You already have the info - but yes, I confirm.

Giftcable:
"I just noticed that the country you live in might be subject to import taxes, as we are sending you the gift from another country than yours (placed outside the EU) and the gift represent a value that might be considered taxable by your local authorities.

To solve this potential problem I have the option of sending you a electronic giftcard for Amazon of 20 EUR instead.

Please let me know if we should continue and send you the original gift, with the risk of it ending up in customs (we can unfortunately not cover the potential import tax imposed by your local authorities), or you would prefer the electronical giftcard to Amazon instead."

Nah - I think not. I rather have you send it, and then I'll leave it at customs.

October-28th my info was applied to their satisfactory. Since then I have been confirming one or another. Still haven't gotten anything.

Very negative experience - poor product quality and communication

My overall experience with Giftcable is negative for a number of reasons. I responded to offers of "Tablet" and "HD Video Camera". Since offers that seem to good to be true, often are, I braced myself, strapped in in front of the computer and decided to give it a couple of days as an experiment. Their initial offer, and first part of communication seemed fine. Then the to-good-to-be-true part unfolded...

- Most important negative is that the product quality is very poor.
The tablet I received crashes often and clearly has memory problems. You cannot see a film of any substantial length before the device "chokes", the screen freezes and the device needs to reboot.
The tablet can be used for simpler things like browsing the internet, but again after an hour or so, the devices chokes. The screen quality is very poor, reading text for any period of time is very tiresome for the eyes.
The HD Camera has it's whole set of similar problems. For me, I cannot use it. The camera often refuses startup, controls are fiddly or you need to be superman to move the control dial, finally new SD cards are often rejected. The device clearly has never been checked for quality.
Yes, I have communicated this to Giftcable, and are waiting for response. I have no hopes of any progress in my favor, after all what do I expect, paying so little for anything. But, why send out such a device, that clearly cannot be used for much else than polluting the environment and causing aggravation?

- Second part of my negative experience is the communication process.
Since I had the opportunity to compare the communication for two different claims, it is clear that the communicator(s) are asking for the same information multiple times, sending clearly fabricated statements on import taxes, and making suggestions of alternate products that are outright ridiculous. I was offered "10 rolls of Menthos" or "5 tubes of Colgate toothpaste" instead of the initial offered product.
It is clear that this communication process is set in place as standard procedure, it's aim being to confuse the client, hoping the recipient (me) will give up pursuing the claim. Whoever set this ridiculous process together should be ashamed and not allowed to work in communication again.

Although I have no proof of this, I sincerely suspect most photos attached to communicator's profiles are not of the agents themselves, but rather stock photography.
I guess I don't like being lied to or taken for a fool.

Thank you for listening, I hope the people behind Giftcable are doing something else in the future.

They call it Laptop PC but it is an useless and malfunctioning tablet with less then 4 gb space

They promise a Laptop PC, they send an Android tablet with less then 4 giga available. Kind of useless. The Wifi does not function properly, so you cannot even use it as an extra tool for guests who want to check their mail.

It took almost 2 months before receiving the gift, and a lot of unnecessary communication with giftcable. They have a system where they try delaying the shipping hoping that you give up. At some point they propose you toothpaste or chewingum instead of the tablet. The tablet is worth max 10 dollars. I think that it is a better idea to accept the toothpaste, it is worth more.

UPDATE: I would now like to add, that the company report all negative reviews about them, so Trustpilot has to remove them. They ask for an order ID, and then Giftcable claims that the order ID is not existing. The company is just trying to earn money on people giving up, because the process to claim the gift is long, nonsense, and annoying. Then, they try to prevent people from writing bad reviews. I got something like 6 mails from trustpilot, before my review could appear here.

this is just unbelievable just send gift and stop the dragging and the 49kr have been with drawn from my credit card

and they are saying they will send in few days(1 of august) and then they are are claiming i did not buy anything just to have trust pilot to remove my experience with this strange company

maybe a little naive a apple tv for 49dkk anyhow claimed they gift
send all the proof of who i am and then after answering all this different persons questions the last one from them if i could confirm the address i had provided them with if it was correct, then all the alarms bell started ringing very smart spam Nigerian spam the european way but it must be a very profitable spam with thousand of people paying 7euro and only few of them going all the way to claim there gift they paid fore.
If it was possible i would give them minus 5 stars and if they were based in EU closed them down.

Not received anything, a waste of time!!!

I created the record on 26th February 2014 for a £30 gift voucher. I completed everything I was supposed to do to claim this and was told a few days later that I would receive the voucher in the post.
I was told on 17th March 2014:
"I'm pleased to tell you that your gift of Gift Card: Tesco (30 GBP) has been verified and set for shipping. Your GiftOrderID is 17236.
It should be on its way within a few days!"

I have still not received anything. I have been in touch several times and keep being told to give it a few more days....... where are they sending this voucher from for it to take 4 months in postage????

The last I heard was 12th June 2014:
"The delivery of the Tesco vouchers has been problematic, and for that we are really sorry.
I can’t really say much more than, to the best of my knowledge, it has been shipped, but I will check up on that with the shipping department again"

Cant really say much more than that??? really?? I wish I could get away with that explanation where I work. Really really poor experience.

Verdens længste leveringstid / Worlds longest delevery time

I have written to them that if I did not receive the gift, I would write a negative review of Giftcable.com. It is hereby made. Hi xxxxxx,

I just noticed that the country you live in might be subject to import taxes, as we are sending you the gift from another country than yours (placed outside the EU) and the gift represent a value that might be considered taxable by your local authorities.

You can read more about this by following this link: (her er så et google link som ikke kan tastes på trustpilot)

To solve this potential problem I have the option of sending you a electronic giftcard for Amazon of 20 EUR instead.

Not too good.

First off, they take ages to reply, even if I replied a message only 2 minutes old.
2nd. They kept on declining my order ID, though Pointshop said that it coulnd't be anything else, and when I gave them the subscription number they accepted it, only to offer toothpaste when I ordered a friggin camera from Fujitsu. I'm not done with the mailing yet to them, but they're out on deep water. So if they send the camera as I've ordered I might give a better review than this.

Update:

I actually got my camera the other day, which is a pretty nice camera for almost no money at all. Yes, it took some mailing back and forth, and avoiding the famous "would you like some toothpaste instead?" offer. But in the end I got the camera, and I'm pretty pleased with it. This also resulted in that I've added an extra star to the review, since I was getting a bit annoyed and started to doubt that I would ever receive the gift. But yeah, I know what will happen next time at least.

I'm pleased to tell you that your gift of Gift Card: Gavekortet.dk (125 DKK to Nordisk Film Biograf) has been verified and set for shipping. Your GiftOrderID is 8866.

It should be on its way within a few days!
