Non-existent customer service

Non-existent customer service
Issue with locking mechanism on door fitted by Getty Glass a number of years ago.
Got a prompt response to initial email asking for service call, sent photos as requested, told it would need to be chased with provider over a month ago.
Follow-up emails ignored, calls go to a general call handling centre. Nothing from Getty.

Sliding door fitted in June 25

Sliding door fitted in June 25, all seemed positive, had to chase for dates etc initially but then when installed, there was a crack on the inside panel of glass and a large scratch on the inner plastic panel of the door - both pointed out to the installer who agreed to let office know. Plasterer didn't come out until a couple of days later and over 2 days to plaster a small area. Then the timber sill being installed cracked the plaster and he'd to come out again (now 5 days of being home for work to be completed despite being told 1 when quoted!!) Chased up by phone few days later ref the crack and scratch, took a few weeks before being told the glass would be replaced - so another day off work to receive a call that it had smashed in the van and would be rescheduled. More chasing for a date and then when the glass was finally replaced, we asked again about the plastic scratch thinking it was to be done at the same time and we were assured it would be "an easy fix" and they'd be in touch. After MONTHS of unreturned calls and messages, we logged a complaint which was finally answered claiming it was notified 19 days after installation (which was the first time we chased by whats app considering it'd been flagged to installer and over the phone!) so they're now shirking responsibility! Cowboys! Rude and extremely poor customer service!

Waste of time

Sent these guys an enquiry on their website got a a message back to call them for a quote and book a appointment. Called them and had to give my details to the person on the phone and was advised someone would call me back. Seems like a waste of time to me. Will be going with someone else.

Replacement glass panel

One of the panels on our composite front door has ' broken down ' so condensation forming. As the problem is under warranty I contacted Getty Glass to have it replaced. Was charged £72 in March2025 for a 5 minute call out from an engineer to confirm a new pane of glass was required. Since then nothing!! I have phoned every week and sent an email. Everytime I am told someone will get back to me, but they never do. Worst service I have ever experienced anywhere. I have since gone to Excel Glass, Belfast and they have supplied and fitted new glass panel, highly recommend them.

What a disappoinment

Patio and rear door replaced in April 2025. Fitting was perfect, except it took 5 hours over three days to clean the glass in the rear door. When cleaned a suction cup imprint was observed inside the double glazing on the door. Getty Glass examined it and informed me the glass would be replaced.
I then received an email quoting their guidelines under the Glass and Glazing Federation. Quote" suction imprint must be able to be photographed not less then 3 metres away, not in direct sunshine and not at an angle."
Our door is south facing, cannot go though unless door is at an angle, and can see it perfectly without the aid of a camera.
Getty glass will now not return any phone calls nor reply to emails.
At least they will not have the trouble of quoting for 24 replacement panes of glass, which they refused to do until after the April budget.

Poor customer service

I had a door installed in May 2024 and has contacted the company in March 2025 as I had noticed for a while that we could see outside through the rim of the lock. Paid a £72 fee in April 2025 and an engineer was to call on 12 May 2025 between 8-1 but no one turned up. I have phoned at least 12 times, sent a text and an email to enquire and request my fee back but to no avail. I was advised that if I wasn’t at the initial visit on 12 May that I would lose the fee and have to repay yet they don’t attend and get to keep the money! Very disappointed with the service.

Dreadful service.

Dreadful service.
No matter when I have phoned over a period of several years, someone is always going to call back.
No one ever calls back!
My late Father had booked Getty Glass to replace a large window, my father died in 2018, we are still waiting on them turning up to replace it.
I rang this morning, got a female I explained what I wanted, she said someone would call me back shortly, the return call never came.
So besides all the non returned calls over the years, and waiting over 7 years for them to arrive when they took the booking for a new window, I think their service is horrendous.

Very bad customer service

Very bad customer service. I have had an ongoing problem with the locking mechanism on my door that was fitted 6 months ago in May. There is an online form to fill in for someone to call out but since my door is 2 weeks over 6 months I hit a text with a sum up payment link to charge £72 for the service call out. The issue with the door has been ongoing for 6 months and I have been advised not to pay this as there is historical evidence with the fault. They have been out twice in June and the August to try fix it but hasn't worked. I cannot get anyone to call me back as I have left phone and email messages. I have now sent a letter and will take legal action against them. Don't waste your money with this company, go elsewhere.

Top quality veranda fitted by a top…

Top quality veranda fitted by a top quality team. We looked at a number of verandas and some were half the price but when we saw this and the size and quality you get , well you get what you pay for.... strong storm proof frame, thick glass roof and well secured into the ground.... super job
