I find I also cannot open messages…

I find I also cannot open messages received and read, which defeats the object. So on top of the experience that not one person is prepared to agree to meet for a harmless coffee, when questions why not the answers are "I am not that fast!" For me, the whole purpose is to meet and establish if there is common ground, but so far the answer given is I'm not ready to meet.

I don't like having to pay to send messages. That's not what I signed up for. Communication with candidates should not be an additional expense when you have a subscription to meet people.

I saw a woman on Facebook advertising…

I saw a woman on Facebook advertising this Once site claiming she met her husband and had been married for some time.
Initially joining the site, I noticed that all the women were beautiful. The municipalities these women lived in all appeared to be in the state of Connecticut, though the state was not listed. The website is based in Hong Kong.
The woman I communicated with appeared to have as an assignment to hang around and communicate with me. She was 54 years old with two children, and I didn’t feel that her story was in any way legitimate. She said she’d been on the site for two weeks, but hadn’t found anyone who she connected with.
I didn’t stay around very long, but I speculate that the site’s objective is to get you to stay long enough to get hooked, and then you’re paying to message. The fee structure is a sliding scale, where the more messages you buy the cheaper they cost. Though I would venture to say that any specials in pricing would only be available for a short time.
I had previously been on a similar website where it was really easy to squander money. On that website, as in this one, the sites generate revenue faster they can count it.
Stay away from this website, and others of its ilk.
Dating websites will eventually have to become regulated to prevent outright fleecing and scamming of those just looking for someone in their lives.
