I received this for Christmas 2025, malfunctioning by mid Jan 2026

I received this for Christmas 2025. I placed it on a lanyard to wear while I walk for exercise. I walk 5 days a week. Starting the last week of Jan 2026, the alarm would go off randomly. The loop where you attach it to the lanyard appears to be loose. I took it off placed in on a table. When I pick it up to try to use it for my walk, it goes off. The company only offers a 30 day return policy. It’s Feb 12, 2026 and I’m stuck with a malfunctioning alarm.

Don't count on it..

This is not loud. I would not counter in it. I would not buy it. It's a waste of time. Energy, and it won't give you a good peace of mind with the end, result, being poor. And probably your attacker, laughing at you.

BEWARE of this website on Facebook

BEWARE of this website on Facebook. The web page has exactly identical purses as The Grace’s Bag site I visited on FACEBOOK!!!!!!! It is a Chinese scam group!! 1. They are not leather bags2. If you want to return them, they say the return fee is more than the purse cost.
PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CHINESE SCAMMERS! JUST THE SAME SCAMMERS WITH A SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT NAME AND STORY!!!!
If you do buy, use a credit card where you can get that credit card company to get your money back from them .
IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE,IT IS!!!!!
Look up reviews concerning Grace’s Bags!
SCAMMED CUSTOMER, BUT NEVER AGAIN!
I’d have given negative 5 stars if it were possible!

Lousy product, don't buy

I ordered 3 Hooties for myself and family. When I tried it out, with headphones (jet engine level, right?), I couldn't hear it. So I summoned my courage and tried without any hearing protection. The alarm was so low that I might escape an assault because he'd be laughing too hard to attack. The strobe is the same. I could look right at it comfortably. Lousy product.

I bought two hooties for a two for one…

I bought two hooties for a two for one good advertised price. One only worked. They sent me a new one. It did not work. I told them so. They said their policy only allows one replacement to be sent and THEN they charged me the more expensive price for buying just one. WHAT!?!?!? Do they do that on purpose to suck people in to make them spend more money? Really - 3 hooties and ONLY one works. What a bad, bad product and company. I wish I had never come across them and their product. Do Not buy! Stay away from this company!!!!

Much too quiet

I ordered the hootie as a protection for my daughter. However, its useless. Its very quiet and does not cause enough noise to get noticed. A car alarm is much noisier. I contacted hootie to return item but they never replied to my request. Dont buy.

Small but mighty!

Came on time and as described. Got one for my niece who's going off to college next year, one for my sister who travels a lot for work, and for myself.

2 Good - 1 Bad - buyer beware

I ordered 3 of these. One started going off randomly after a few months. The return policy is a short window. I've asked for a reconsideration and a refund or replacement. We'll see what happens.

Never delivered order, never replied to my follow-up

I ordered a product on 10 December 2021 (order GU20978-HT). It was not delivered and I received no updates regarding delivery timeframes. I emailed on 29 January 2022 and 2 February 2022 to follow up and received no reply. Do your own research, but based on my experience, I would not trust this company to deliver what you pay for or to respond when you follow up.
