I was very disappointed in Epic this…
I was very disappointed in Epic this year. I was an ambassador last year and it went so well. This year there were so many technical problems with students not being able to log in and our class "how many books they've read" not working. I tried multiple times to contact technical support and no one ever got back with me. I hope these problems get figured out because I absolutely love to use Epic in my classroom.

A great product with ease of use for children. In the past two years the company has been difficult to deal with regards to subscriptions and support. Hopefully that is improving now because it is such a valuable resource for schools. It would be great if they would listen to users to inform future development

Glitch
Today i was reading epic i tried reading a read to me book but the book sound wont come i pause sound and it still goes on and when i was on page 3 it turned all white allof a sudden and then took me to the place where you get a star for reading a book weird?

this is the worst readding app of all time, if you search somthing specific, the first thing that pops up is trash epic originals that the company addvertises for years acting like there brand new, after you scroll past that you get horrible bulk book with 3 word sentances. hands down worst reading app ever.

Best reading app!
My daughter started reading Epic's Read-to-Me books in preschool. She is now in 2nd grade and reading at a 5th grade level! She is always finding new topics to learn about (who knew she loves snakes?!) and listens to audiobooks every night. She also downloads books for roadtrips or to read while waiting at her brother's activities. I love that I don't have a ton of books lying around the house and she always has access to a huge library.

Problem subscribing Epic
My son wanted to use Epic to read books and asked me to activate it. I paid for the monthly plan but it still wouldn’t let him read the books and kept showing to subscribe to the app. I tried to contact the help centre but haven’t got any reply. Scam app!
Update- I would like to update my review that my Epic account can be used now after four days of sending several emails to Epic customer service. They mentioned I used a different account so they couldn't find the one that I subscribed to the app. Actually, I never change my email account. I have subscribed to lots of apps and never experienced like that before. However, thanks to Trustpilot for giving a chance reviewing what the customers experience.

They will sign you up for a auto renew even though its not explicitly shown. Then when you want to cancel you can't just call to do it. They pull a FaceBook and route you through numerous links so that you can't actually reach anyone. DO NOT let your kids use this app.

We pride ourselves on being 100% safe with all books being age-appropriate for kids 12 and under. Much care goes into what is on our platform. Our book selection policy for any type of content is curated by a team of extraordinarily passionate book and video experts with training across children’s literature and in family and kid entertainment — not by computers or algorithms. The books we select follow a strict list of principles and guidelines and showcase diverse cultural experiences and encourage acceptance, understanding, empathy and inclusion.
We also put the power in the hands of the parents. Parents can monitor what their child is reading, send them suggested books and filter out any content they choose. Please reach out to us support@getepic.com and we can walk you through those features should you feel any content is not the right one for your child.
Quick to take my money, slow to fix issues
I paid for the yearly subscription last week. But my app says I need to reactivate my subscription in order to access books. Support doesn’t have an email or phone number. There’s just a form to fill out on their website. I can’t imagine this is a difficult fix since I sent copies of the subscription confirmation they sent me when they charged my card, but alas we are still waiting for resolution. Seems like for how much they charge for a subscription, they should be able to provide better, prompt service.
