Avoid this company at all costs

Avoid this company at all costs, it takes money from my bank account every year. It's impossible to get in contact with them if you lose the password, especially if another person started the process. Even getting Lloyd's bank to act is a full time carer.

Look elsewhere.

Hopeless. The search component reveals nothing. I have tested this with absolute known details with a NEGATIVE RESPONSE received. I have given up having spent standard subscriptions over the years.A frustrating hopeless research website. Don’t sign up. Having reached the end of 2025 it’s time to abandon ship.

Easy to edit and read.

I started my family tree on genesreunited more than 40 years ago and now have over 5,000 of my family connections there. I have an Ancestry tree but find the genes tree much easier to edit so I do all of my editing on genesreunited and roughly annually I upload the up to date genes tree onto Ancestry. When it comes to searching, Ancestry is invaluable so I use both genesreunited and Ancestry 'side by side'

It’s a con !!!!

Opened a new “free” account only to find you need to buy credits to view documents. I bought the minimum credits for a fiver only to be told they would keep topping up my account automatically unless I went into my account to turn top ups off. I promptly tried to do this only to find that there was an “error “ which they claimed to be dealing with. Waited for days but still the same. How convenient for that particular fault to occur so that you can’t cancel top ups. Yeah right! Beware! It’s a con. I’ve had to delete my account but I’ll be watching my credit card to see if they try to take more money.

Error page?

Purchased 50 credits and tried to turn off credit top up but kept getting error page, tried to email the address given on error page for problems but that also went to error page! Found complaint support email address in the end and they sorted it but this website has some serious issues and won’t be using it again. Also noticed it’s part of Find my Past.
