Communication was poor

Communication was poor. I was vexed that they would not tell me what my vehicle actually sold for. Not allowing me that information (the market value for that vehicle) has kept me from selling another vehicle with Gateway. The staff that signed me up was good and communicative. But when the car was sold, he was gone and the staff was not as professional as I expected.

They treated me perfectly

They treated me perfectly, represented my vehicle with style and class and it sold immediately. I recommended my friend to sell his car there asap and Gateway sent me a form for $100.00 for the referral, but I never received it. Otherwise, would highly recommend hem to anyone....

I was lied to by Byron Morris in Tampa Fl regarding a mustang i bought. i wish i could say my experience with this company was better but the truth is it couldn't be further from it. extremely unhappy with the fact that my car has been riddled with problems since i bought it, even after i brought up questions to my sales consultant Byron.

Buying my 1989 suburban was the easiest Vehicle purchasing process I have ever experienced . When the vehicle arrived it looked exactly the way it was represented online . If you’re looking for a classic car this is the place to go .

Review

Did not get my minimum price but I knew going in to ask more than my very minimum. Was happy with what I got and it went very easy. A very good job of getting it advertised .

My experience with Gateway Classics

The ad describing the vehicle was poorly written and contained inaccurate facts. When these issues were brought to their attention they did not make any attempt to correct their errors. The asking price for the vehicle was not in line with other vehicles of the same type. The vehicle did sell on the last day of the 90 day listing period. I offered to meet with the new owner to provide details about the vehicle, but was not given that opportunity.

Not transparent

Not transparent, long time to sell, had a lot of extras going with the car that were very special to car and valuable to new owner. They were never conveyed to new owner. Heard later from disgruntled employee via a blanket email that they were selling cars for more than they claimed! (Which I suspected) Never again. Slimey company.

I was able to sell my Buick through…

I was able to sell my Buick through Gateway Classic Cars, but I was not completely satisfied with the experience. Communication was poor during the 7 months my car was on consignment, and there seemed to be a large turnover in personnel. After the sale, I was contacted by the buyer's state department of transportation needing more info from me to license the vehicle. My state is exempt from odometer statements, but the buyer's state is not. I had to fill out paperwork, have it notarized, and send it back. Gateway should have known the requirements of all states and fill out all required paperwork to make the sale complete.

They were very helpful in the purchase of my car, however when we arrived to get the car they took a long time to get the car ready and were no help loading it on my trailer.
