1 star bc I cannot put 0. Terrible customer service. Employees are really insistent, they proceeded with a contract that I agreed I would consider, but only would accept it with a confirmation via phone call. I couldn't take the phone call so they didn't care to try again and created the contract. Once I found out through my provider at the moment (since in their app said I canceled the contract with them), I went ahead and canceled the contract for electricity and gas GASAG made. I canceled it during the period of time I had before they processed it. They didn't care to send a confirmation, but since I was on time there shouldn't be anything to worry about. However, when the contract with my provider at the moment ended, I tried to sign up again with them since GASAG canceled my contract with them, but they could only proceed with my electricity contract, not the gas. I contacted GASAG and it turns out I had a 24 month contract for my gas meter ending in 2026, and that's why my provider at the moment couldn't make the change. I checked to see if maybe I only canceled my electricity contract with GASAG and forgot to cancel the gas, but no, I did cancel it. The thing is I had a change of the gas meter, but it was after the cancelation. In the cancelation I made there was the old gas meter number, however, the cancelation was made, and they took advantage I had a change of the gas meter a month later to create a new contract with the new gas meter number. Still trying to figure it out, but they should be inspected for this behavior. Do not willingly make a contract with GASAG, you only need to see the Google Reviews to see the amount of people they are harassing at their homes and the amount of unwanted contracts they are making, it's pathetic

Semi-scam sales tactics with b-shit infos
A guy Sinan Yüksel (41000-80) came to us to improve our gas contract. 1) we arent not your clients, 2) we havent called an appointment. and the guy talked and talked making the infos less understandable. not good.

This company is the biggest scammer ever. The customer service is a joke and if you don't speak perfect german, tough luck. The billing goes crazy high without explanation and they don't explain how anything works. You feel like a dumbass with them all the time. I wish I was in the position to cancel the contract but I am not currently, so I have to live with this hell for a couple more months.

I am extremely disappointed with the gas company, which recently sent me a bill for the astronomical sum of €4250 , along with a monthly price update reaching €650 . This situation is completely unacceptable and unrealistic.
What's most alarming is that, when attempting to address this issue by calling the company's offices at the telephone number 030 7072 0000-0, I encountered an additional barrier: the customer service personnel refused to speak English, greatly hindering communication and issue resolution.
I not only feel swindled by the excessive and unjustified charges but also abandoned by a customer service that should be committed to customer satisfaction and issue resolution.
I demand an immediate explanation and an appropriate solution to this situation. This experience has been completely unacceptable, and I will not hesitate to seek more reliable and transparent alternatives if this issue is not promptly and satisfactorily addressed.

Appalling. I informed the agent that I do not have a gas supply or gas meter. Next thing, a 'thank you for your contract' email arrived! Total scammers, will lie and cheat just to get sales commission. Good luck with getting me to pay for gas you don't supply.

My encounter with this service provider has been nothing short of a nightmare. Despite diligently canceling my contract and settling the last invoice upon moving to a new flat, I was slapped with an additional invoice sent to my old address. To add insult to injury, they levied an extra 60 EUR for reminder fees, all while insisting my contract was canceled and paid.
The absurdity reached its peak when my previous landlord notified me of post from GASAG. Astonishingly, they had added these unwarranted charges despite assurances of closure and payment. Attempts to contact them were met with silence, and their unresponsiveness compounded by the fact that their communication was exclusively in German. It's disheartening to see such disregard for non-German speakers in a cosmopolitan city like this in 2023.
Consider this a cautionary tale—I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone, and I strongly discourage anyone from entering into contracts with them. It's a shame that such poor service persists in a city with a vibrant expat community. Regards.

Deregistering after selling my flat should have taken 2 emails max. So far, I'm about 8 or 9 emails in. Their IT system is massively faulty.
Avoid unless you like to waste time.

Increased my monthly bill by 4.5 times, 687 euros a month which was completely unaffordable. Massively over estimated monthly consumption despite regulars verified meter reading. Despite several calls to change monthly amount said they could only change personal details. Eventually changed gas supplier. Still owed 2744.81 euros which I have had a confirmation letter that I will received, still have not received every phone call being told wait 3 days. The worst customer service I have ever had also caused significant financial distress

I did not receive a notice of price increase. Had to request all info to be sent by post and stopped them from deducting directly from my account.
Now I am told the price increased 100%in February and March.
I have received a bill of 730€.
The customer service representative admitted that there is som guess factoring involved.
Something is very wrong with the this company. They are grabbing money as if they have gone completely mad.
Had to cancel contract but penalized because I have been a faithful customer with an old contract and cannot get away from them for whole year. It will be a happy day for me indeed.
Maybe this was a trustworthy Berlin company but it is NOT anymore!
Avoid Gasag. Times have changed and they are no longer reputable.

Worst electricity provider in Germany. Zero help if you dont speak english neither on phone neither on email. And above all the rudest thing HANGING UP THE PHONE TO CLIENTS. I saw that only in Germany and I lived everywhere. Stay away from this company!
