I’ve had an excellent experience with GJM from start to finish. The entire process was smooth, transparent, and handled with real professionalism. Communication was always prompt, clear, and friendly, which made everything far less stressful than letting a property can sometimes be.
A special mention goes to my agent Robyn, who was genuinely outstanding. They were proactive, knowledgeable, and incredibly supportive throughout the whole journey. Every question I had — big or small — was answered quickly. Robyn went above and beyond to make sure I was informed at every stage, and their attention to detail made a huge difference.

The experience so far has been a very good one with Gareth James. Robyn in particular has been communicative, responsive, practical, thorough and extremely helpful. Sophie has also been the same - both have been a pleasure to deal with. We’ve worked with them as both tenants as well as landlords and the process has been very smooth.

So far so good. They have been very responsive and in particular Sophie Payne has been brilliant with the onboarding and admin side of things. Gary Cole has also been very quick to respond. Hopefully this level of service will continue!

Nikki & Genevieve in Peckham are fabulous. We interviewed a fair few estate agents before settling on this team at Gareth James. Glad we did. Pitch perfect, brilliant customer service, on top of the brief. They even found us a fantastic conveyancing solicitor and a marvellous decorator. Most importantly, they executed the sale exactly as tasked and when we were unsure of the best next steps their advice was excellent. Their absolute loyalty to us as their clients shone through. Sold.

I would highly recommend the team at Gareth James. Nikki and Genevieve were professional, responsive and took a proactive approach to communicating with us, including setting up a WhatsApp group to share feedback quickly and efficiently. The team's advice, while always courteously delivered, was practical and candid and helped us to understand what we needed to do to support the effective marketing of the property. They played an integral role in the sale of the property and I would recommend their services without hesitation.

Positive experience, Nikki was a particularly good advisor during a tricky market and offered sound advice that I trusted. The whole team (Nikki, Genevieve and Robyn) were good communicators, knowledgeable and professional… I didn’t have to worry about viewings and I’d had some poor experiences with other agents. During the sale info was passed between me and the buyer, orchestrated by Gareth James and that was welcomed and reassuring.

I had a tricky purchase to make and they did everything that was asked of them. Very discrete and very impressive, patient too. Thank you very much.

I do not know how they manage to show good reviews. They have been continuously rude, treating me as a Tenant as if I was working for them, handing me a bunch of keys without explaining which key opens which door, were unable to indicate where were the meters, they were asking from me to wash my clothes in a washing machine full of moulds in the rubber band, they were forcing me to be getting to their office to hand to them letters for the Landlord as if I was their postman, they were delaying fixing holes where mice were entering telling me I have to learn to live with them, they were delaying fixing water leaking from the roof telling me to be monitoring it (took almost a year to fix the roof), they were messing up the slots with the technicians calling painters to make the roof good before having fixed the water leak issue, making me attend in vain leaving my work for no reason. They were forcing me to allow them entering the property in my absence or giving me last minute notice that they d bring the new washing machine within half to 1 hour expecting from me to leave my work just like that or to hand them the keys to enter the unattended property. If not they were blackmailing me I d need to pay charges. They were saying they d call the technician to fix issues while the Landlord was entering the property - without prior written notice as per contract -pretending to be the technician. They only changed their tone after I complained to the Rogue Landlord scheme.

Robyn was fantastic - she was very transparent with us the whole way through, from our viewing, offer and moving in. She even kept our baby entertained when I was taking measurements. We had some terrible experiences with other lettings agents, and Garath James were absolutely the best

Really friendly, nice and responsive team. Effective outcomes. Accurate advice. My only recommendations were that they had a pre-prepared check list for new landlords to hand out and that they looked at their invoicing system, which is somewhat baffling. But so far so good.

My connection with Gareth James is of twelve years duration, and counting. They have been involved in the letting, management and now sale of a property. In all aspects of my engagement with them they have been exemplary, combining a quiet, assured professionalism with a warming human touch.

Like at least some others, I suspect, I am an accidental landlord, with but two properties and, certainly in the early stages, a novice in property matters. And here I can’t praise them enough. All of those I’ve dealt with, across the range of GJM’s services – invidious to pick out names, but they know who they are – have been problem-solvers, navigating through and around difficulties to positive conclusions. Can’t get better than that, really. Power-on GJM!
