Warning: Terrible service!

Loyal customer here. A few months ago they changed the formula of a product without(!) changing their product page. Even currently the text & pictures still show the old product.. Yet, they ship a majorly changed product (completely altered taste, far less vitamins/minerals, different amino values,...).

You simply get a product which you did not order.

So, you'd expect the responsible thing, which is them offering a hassle-free return because they are shipping products which do NOT match what you ordered (anymore). But no, not even that...

The helpdesk spins around the issue by promising quality controls for the taste. No help there.

Disputing it on Paypal I obviously win the claim. But Garden Of Life provides an incomplete return address, needing another PayPal intervention.

This ongoing experience has been insanely awful. It reveals their terrible and inexcusable lack of minimum service.

They leave you with a product you did not order, make a hassle out of a return, and even have the audacity to demand you to pay the shipping cost for returning their fault!

Beyond disappointing & inexcusable.

Vanilla Protein Powder

I tried Garden of Life for the first time because it had great reviews online. I regret not coming to Trustpilot first.

I tried the vanilla protein powder and it's inedible. It's very grainy, way too sweet, and tastes very artificial.

Customer service did refund the few euros that should have been deducted from my first order so that's a plus.

However, when I reached out again about my disappointing experience, after a brief exchange they said it's under investigation and have not updated me to resolve the issue yet.

Areas of improvement:

If a customer is disappointed think of creative solutions some sales and retention skills could be used here like offering different Garden of Life products in exchange.

Although I'm unhappy with the protein powder I would have been open to trying other products that I might've liked. Creating a template offering or exchanging products to keep customer satisfaction could help. It's just such a waste of money.

Maybe accept returns and recycle the plastic and powder somehow. We're headed towards a sustainable future. Idk but I'm still open to resolving the matter so that both sides are happy. :)

Update July 5, 2024

Customer service resolved the issue and refunded my order as a gesture of goodwill. I would say customer service in general is 4 stars the product itself is still 1 star for me personally. But they did forward my feedback to their product developers so maybe it improves.

Terrible experience

I would not recommend anyone to use the website and the company.

1. It takes more that 2 weeks to get the oreder, as it is shipped from the US, and it isn't stated anywhere.
2. I was not at home and just get a notification that my order is sent back.
3. When I asked for the refund, the support just did the replacement and now I have to wait for another 2-3 weeks.
4. Most of the products you can buy on iHerb much much cheaper.

I wish I read reviews before ordering.

Horrible company and their customer…

Horrible company and their customer service is even worse (and rude). The products are send from USA. If you want exchange a product, you need to pay it 100% yourself (€40 in my case, of an order worth €30). The website does now show clearly that it’s an USA company and it is shipped from shipped from USA. I will never order again and will definitely tell my friends not to.
