Avoid Gardenbox

Avoid Gardenbox. It has been close to 2 months now, and we still have not received what we ordered.

When we ordered, it showed all items to be "in-stock". Only when we didn't hear from them for a week did they tell us that they are waiting for a shipment from the manufacturer. Generally, their communication and customer support is terrible. Rick specifically has been condesending and refused to email us. They brag about having show room and staff who pick up the phone, but they are impossible to actually contact. They fail to respond to basic email requests. They promise to send an update, then never actually follow up. Throughout the entire process they have provided incorrect or misleading information time and again. For example, their "2-man delivery", that takes the very heavy item "anywhere on the property" is a lie. At best it would take it to your driveway for an extra £80, and whish you good luck moving it yourself where you actually need it.

If you want to actually receive your item, avoid this seller. There are many others selling the exact same things. Avoid Gardenbox.

Jupiter BBQ ordered from Gardenbox

Ordered the Jupiter BBQ. Was kept up to date on delivery delays due to circumstances outside their control however only used the BBQ 3 times and a knob has broke already meaning we can't use one of the grills. Disappointed having spent so much money that this had happened -I've emailed them twice and called 3 times and still no resolution to the problem. Still waiting to hear back from the outback warranty team and it seems I've just been forgotten about. Not happy as I was thinking I'd bought a quality product which has broke so quickly and not happy with the lack of follow up

Beware.

Ordered a new Napoleon 500 Prestige Pro a month ago. Showing as 'in stock'. Despite other suppliers having stock I ordered here due to free cover and free rotisserie. After ordering and chasing find that actually stock not available until late July - here we are in August - no indication or when stock arriving. No response to multiple voicemails and emails suggest must wait due to difficulty of securing stock.

Had I bought elsewhere would have a BBQ already - they have taken my money and run and appear to have no interest in every following through with the product. Chasing refund! Beware!

Don’t deal with Gardenbox

Bought a Big Joe 3 in May. Was promised delivery the following week and when it did not arrive we were unable to get through to Gardenbox. We eventually tracked down the courier directly ourselves and got it delivered. We then ordered a soapstone and paid for it and since then they have been impossible to get hold of despite countless phone calls. No soapstone delivered and no refund. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with.

Avoid avoid avoid

Avoid avoid avoid. Awful communication. Took my money and never responded to any emails or voicemails. Only got back to me when I put it on Facebook. Then the grill was wrong. Then they failed to send me a cover I had ordered and tried to say it was in the package - when I knew it wasn’t as I opened it in front of the delivery driver as I didn’t trust them. Then they didn’t respond. Then when I raised a PayPal case they agreed to send a replacement. Which didn’t turn up so I bought a cover myself as I needed one. Then the cover turned up a week later so now I’ve bought two covers and they won’t return or refund their one. Awful place. Don’t use.

No communication

Frustratingly Gardenbox has taken my money and then not communicated anything to me for weeks. Their phone line goes through to voicemail without being answered (despite me being told I’m the only person in the queue), and they don’t respond to emails. Unfortunately I should’ve read these reviews before I transacted with them.

Money taken, nothing delivered

I placed an order on May 3rd on an in-stock item. Money was taken from my credit card next day but I never received order confirmation and 3 weeks later I am still chasing them for the item or any kind of communication.

Where's my order???

I placed my order in March. Order confirmed next day and payment taken (in full).
Then, nothing...
I've chased by email, more than once. I've chased by web contact form. No response.
I've now resorted to social media and Trust Pilot in the hope I might get a response, before I turn to my credit card for a section 75 refund claim.
This firm really needs to learn the art of customer communication.
Rubbish!

Garden box definitely 5star service

I find the previous negative review a million miles away from the experience I’ve had in the last few days...... Thank you Rick for all your help and advice with the purchase of my new bbq. From the first call that I made to discuss a bbq I’ve had first class help. There was no pressure to buy or to purchase the most expensive bbq. I was given lots of choice with a couple being cheaper than the one I eventually chose. Rick then put a custom bundle of free extras together for my needs. My expectations were exceeded when delivery was arranged ahead of the suggested timescale, with regular updates. I took delivery of my Napoleon Pro 825 yesterday and have used it today to bbq for myself and wife. The steak was amazing. Looking forward to using it again tomorrow on our wedding anniversary. Thanks again Rick for all your help - a first class service making an enjoyable and easy purchasing experience.

Rip off company took payment no goods…

Rip off company took payment no goods received will not respond to e mails phone calls etc will be passing debt on to collection services please do not usewill also inform credit card company and report to kamado Joe customer services stay well clear

Fantastic experience buying a Kamado BBQ from Garden Box.

I don’t normally leave reviews but the service I received from Rick and Mark was second to none.

Someone recommended Garden Box to me and I’m so glad they did. Staff are extremely knowledgeable, helpful and my whole buying experience was pressure free. It was a refreshing change to buy a product from people who truly know what they are talking about.

Since my initial purchase the after sales support I have received has been amazing. I have every confidence that if I need any advice or have any problems they are only a phone call away.

Finally I just want to say thank you.

After careful guidance from garden box…

After careful guidance from garden box I cooked my first whole chicken, salted potatoes, I even cooked our croutons for the salad & apple crumble on our bbq. I was very nervous but Rick talked me through using the temp probe & I have to say I’m a convert. Best chicken I’ve ever had. Best bit clean oven. Win win. 👍

Shocking contempt for customers

I ordered a cover for my Masterbuilt 560 in April. When I placed the order I was not informed they were out of stock and after 1 month of waiting I contacted Garden Box Ltd to be informed they were waiting on stock bit I should receive it very soon. Fast forward to July still waiting and radio silence from Garden Box Ltd despite 3 emails. Finally I got through on the phone and I received a voicemail from Rick the boss apologising as apparently the covers had been in stock sent out to all those waiting expect me. He told me I would receive in the next few days. As of today 14/08/20 I’ve still not received my cover and when I contacted them again oops they forgot to send it but will put it in the post today.

Shocking contempt for their customers and if I’d known how bad they were I’d have bought from the company who supplied my grill( they didn’t have it in stock when I ordered it)
