About Gamma
Written by the company
Gamma is a leading provider of Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) into the UK, Dutch, Spanish and German business markets, supplying communication solutions directly and via our extensive network of trusted channel partners.
Of course, sometimes customers may need to reach out due to any issues they may have experienced - we encourage customers to contact us to resolve these issues promptly. Please click the link at the bottom to raise a general complaint about our products or services, and we will be happy to look into it.
Regarding scams and nuisance calls, we are Ofcom registered, fully compliant with regulations and we take the misuse of our numbers very seriously. Gamma is a business-to-business (B2B) wholesaler for number ranges to thousands of businesses across Europe. Therefore, it can appear that Gamma is making calls to the general public or able to control who uses them - this is not the case. Our numbers are being, at times, misused by other businesses, or non-Gamma numbers are ‘spoofed’ to make it appear as though Gamma is calling when this is not the case.
With that being said, we want to help clamp down on nuisance calls in any way we can. Therefore, we would be happy to investigate any reports to check the current owner of the numbers and can act where applicable if they are ours. Instead of leaving reviews, we would kindly ask that you provide the details of the numbers that have called you, including timestamps with our Misuse team. It helps to provide the number that received the call so we would ask that you complete the form via the link at the bottom. Our Misuse and Fraud teams can then investigate the situation.
However, if you do not want to contact us further, we would suggest reporting the numbers to the police, via www.actionfraud.police.uk or call 0300 123 2040 (if in England, Wales or Northern Ireland). If in Scotland, report to Police Scotland by calling 101.

Actual Gamma user - not a disgruntled call receiver.
We use Gamma Horizon hosted phone system through a third party telecoms company.
To sum up: It's a reliable, reasonably priced telecoms solution that is COMPLETELY RUINED buy an interface that appears to have been written by a student at the last minute for their school IT project on Sunday with a hangover.
As the company IT admin, I get to hear from everyone, from the directors down to the lowest office bod, just how damned frustrating this thing is to use.
On a positive note; we have a good data connection and calls are clear, reliable, connect almost instantly and here ends the positive note.
When trying to dial, you can only search on the contact surname, so the first name is basically redundant but...
YOU CAN'T LEAVE IT BLANK. Ok, so you put a dot in first name and put the full name in the surname..? NOPE! No spaces or underscores (or any non-alphanumeric character) allowed (and even if they were the fields aren't long enough).
If you have 20 contacts with the surname Marsh, Martin, Marion, Marwell, etc, you're going to do a LOT of scrolling because the search on handsets ignores everything after the first 3 characters.
Ok... So maybe we use the screen buttons for quick dials to frequently used contacts..?
NOPE! You can only assign other users or call functions, no external numbers.
Getting desperate now... We can use quick dials..? Oh yes! 2-digit dialling! We'll have to use a old-fashioned paper list, but it's workable.
NOPE! It doesn't work. Single digit dialling does, which is great if you only have 9 contacts. Spoiler.. NO ONE HAS THAT FEW CONTACTS.
The mobile app isn't too bad, the contacts search seems to work better, but it will also search your personal contacts if you're using your own mobile and there's no voice search. However, if there's a way to transfer calls, I haven't found it.
The browser interface is woeful, many things you're never going to use and still no quick-dial support for your contacts or facility to pin them in a menu. The search is better but still hit-and-miss.
So we live with the weird database and we've managed to make a call, we want to transfer it.
NO COLD TRANFERS.
You can't simply push function button for the user you want to send the call to. Oh no! you must hit [Transfer] (pick one as despite having a dedicated key you'll also see at least one soft key option) then the users softkey, wait for their phone to ring, then press [Transfer] again, wait for the "Transfer Complete" message, THEN you can hang up.
The main line rings and everyone is busy, but you're not on the ring group... You'd think you could pick it up by pressing the flashing line button, wouldn't you? We did... Well YOU CAN'T. In fact there's no way for you to answer it at all.
You're alone in the office, everyone's in a meeting and you're on a call; the main line rings (you're on the ring group and could pick up if you weren't in a call) so you quickly finish your call and hang up, you go to answer the other call, but your phone isn't ringing, pushing the main line softkey does nothing. You have to go LOG INTO ANOTHER PHONE to answer it then transfer it to yourself.
Honestly there's more, so much more, but I'm not sure what the character limit is here, so I'm going to stop now.
If you're the SysAdmin, the backend is actually quite good, the interface is from the year 2000, but it does what it needs to and things are (fairly) intuitively laid out.
In summary, until Gamma get's off it's collective backside and writes a professional, competent and elegant front end to go with their undoubtedly competent backend systems, avoid this like a damp spot on a train seat.

Collaborate app issues - No answer from Gamma
No answers to their phone/ reception, ironic as I'm calling to ask why the collaborate app doesn't allow us to answer calls. The phone rings but you can't pick up the call...really frustrating and detrimental to business relationships.

Very dodgy underhand sales tactics
Very dodgy underhand sales tactics, ring and claiming it was a follow up call to a matter we've previously discussed. Just lies and complete fabrication, be aware, this is how this company operates!

Scam central...literally.
Called me this morning to check if my phone was active. Literally the first step to setting up a scam. I gave the number a Google which led me to Gamma Telecom Holdings Ltd.
Yet another "telecom" company supplying criminals and scumbags with our precious contact details but what bothers me the most is that I've had a new number and have rarely given it out to anyone! Who gave (sorry, SOLD) them my details?
If I get another dead call from them I will take it as hostile activity and will be reporting you as far as I can.

CS has unidentified number of "right teams"
Trying to reach CS is impossible. When you call their CS number you'll go through initial "Hi, please select 1 or 2" auto attendee menu. Initial waiting time wasn't terrible so I got to FIRST "adviser" who asked me for details. I was then informed that first adviser has to transfer my call to the RIGHT department so I landed in queue void for 10 mins (including initial first 10 mins reaching them = 20 in total). Salvation is here! SECOND "adviser" finally logs my call but AGAIN asks me for my details + ISP login details. Guess what? SECOND adviser was not the right team... So they transferred me over to "the right team". I am in this queue void where you send people that you don't want to talk to and it's been now 12 minutes (in total 30+ mins). For past 12 minutes I heard "Thanks, we will now PLACE you in the queue". I will just highlight that I was calling on behalf of mutual customer. If I was their direct customer and my broadband was down due to line issue and I would have to go through this QUEUE VOID I would immediately terminate my contract with them...
UPDATE:
After 47 mins in queue (checked time on my handset) my call just got disconnected. Since then Gamma did not even try to call back.
Horrible

UK BASED SCAM COMPANY?
I keep getting cold calls or or someone who knows my name and tries to convince me my house needs repairs. The latest number came up as Sheffield 01144783876.
I cannot understand how Gamma can allow a phone scamming company to operate under it. Even the Gamma website looks dodgy.

Cold Caller - Vaguely Answer Direct Questions
Received a cold call from this company to my business (nothing unusual there). One of my first questions: "Before we continue, is this a sales call?", "We can't sell you something you already have", "Is that a yes or a no?", "We are looking at updating your contract", "You are answering a simple question with a very vague answer, please remove me from your call list, bye". Blocked the number after repeated attempts to call me back.

Gamma the scammer?
Gamma the scammer?
I’ve now had several calls from numbers attributed to this company. Each time I lift up the phone there is no answer from the other end. Why are they doing this? Presumably they’re trying to find out if I answer and pass this info on. Also if I don’t answer they can work out when no one is at home. Either way this info is useful to scammers in particular

Awful is being unkind to the word…
Awful is being unkind to the word awful!
There was a failure to delivery services across a three-month period starting from November 2020 to February 2021. Gamma completely failed the redirecting of our phone lines and despite dozens of calls failed to rectify the fault over this period.
I spent a considerable amount of time and energy calling to try and rectify for it not to be rectified.
The issues caused a substantial loss of revenue, in a peak period time of sales for the studio when we usually sell a considerable amount of Christmas voucher campaigns including Christmas gifts for recording studio experiences and singing lessons.
Further loss of potential sales due to a lack in confidence in the phone services prevented us from launching further marketing and advertising campaigns.
I had a terrible experience with Gamma
I had a terrible experience with Gamma, I signed up to be a partner to sell network 3, so many hidden costs and things were unclear upon sign up. I have been in telecoms for 13 years and will be telling all my connections about the way I have been treated. **** is not a credit to Gamma and has provided me terrible service.
