I ordered 6 items and was before 21:00…

I ordered 6 items and was before 21:00 so next day delivery and 2 days later I get the half of my shipment and still had to pay full so I cancelled the half that didn't come and I wanted to send the stuff I did recieve back and they said I must pay the post myself.
The service is terrible and the chat was rude.
I will never use gamma again hornbach is alot more reliable..

They hire people who have even a clue about any technical knowledge. These employees also pretend that they know by giving false information. Some of them even don’t know measurements. Some are rude and uneducated. They are also always short staffed. Some of them even do not know where is a typical item and I find it quicker than their employees.

Terrible customer service

Terrible online service. I made a big order for the house, it arrived in 4-5 different shipments completely disorganised. Some things were packed, others were not. The pain came not packaged properly so it exploded already. I contacted customer service. They don't even bother to contact me back. I originally contacted them over 10 days ago. It's a joke of a company.

store manager won’t return my purchase in gamma haarlem

i bought a few gardening items at GAMMA Haarlem a few days ago. Two items did not meet my needs:
- one was a wrong product, unused.
- Other was a gardena cutter that did not work as intended, as I found the pull cutter to be uncomfortable and hard to manage.

The manager at Gamma Haarlem refused to accept my returns claiming that the product was used, which it was, but had no apparent damage or usage marks beyond one cut attempt (mainly dirt and storage) and said that he was going to refuse returning my whole purchase because he said he didn't “trust my story”. I am extremely disappointed in this, as this is a very expensive product that had a very unsatisfactory and unmet expectations when used, while the other one was only taken out of the box and never used (because I bought the wrong thing).

i am messaging you now as a request for proper customer care and compensation, especially because the “manager” at the store refused to tell me his name (he said “i am GAMMA”) and told me to “try another GAMMA”, which was utterly disrespectful and quite honestly racist due to my ethnicity.

A Complete Disaster – Worst Customer Service Experience

I deeply regret ordering from Gamma. What should’ve been a simple exchange turned into a frustrating, drawn-out ordeal lasting over a month. I received the wrong item in March, and since then I’ve faced countless failures from their customer service: broken promises, system issues, poor communication, and a total lack of follow-through. Despite being told repeatedly that the issue would be resolved, I’m still without the correct item.

The only bright spot was one helpful rep, who tried to sort things out—but even her efforts didn’t lead to a solution. Gamma’s online service is unreliable, and support seems either powerless or indifferent. If you value your time, money, and sanity, shop elsewhere.

A nasty first time experience with Gamma

A nasty first time experience with Gamma.
I bought a BBQgrill on the Gamma website.
1. The delivery was fast.
2. Upon receiving and assembling the BBQgrill I spotted a defect - the top lid was not closing properly and on one side there was a big gap.
3. Reassembled the BBQgrill again to see did I make a mistake but the problem was still there.
4. Contacted Gamma client service and sent the pictures
5. Gamma agreed that the product was defective and said I will get a new one once I send this one back.

Up until step 5 it was going well but how am I suppose to send a 25 kilo BBQgrill that I can't fit into my car? Even upon partial disassembly I had issues to put it in my car which resulted in my passenger door scratched. Not to mention that I needed to engage my partner in the returning the item because I cannot lift it my self. Before that I wrote an email and called but got guy with an attitude barely letting me finish my sentences. I understand the fact that you do work a certain way but I got a defective article and basically you are telling me that it is my problem and I have to send it or deliver it. That is not very customer friendly. Not only I lost a lot of my time and my benzine because of the defective article you sent me but also scratched the inside of my car because you would not send a courier to pick it back up while delivering a new one at the same time.

The only positive thing about this was the lady at Gamma Geleen. Pretty chill and solved the issue on spot.

I suggest you avoid this shop. If they screw up ( which they did ) it will be your problem not theirs. You will only loose time, money and nerves. I should have stayed with Hornbach, sometimes curiosity to try out a new shop is totally not worth it.

Seamless experience.

Ordered a fence and fence poles here. Also some screws and parts to put fence together. Delivery was performed in 2 batches. I was informed over email when every batch delivery is to happen (2 hours fork). Everything was delivered in time and quality is good.

Deceiving web site

Their website is deceiving. They announce a price for renting a drill (boremachine) on their web site but when you go there, they ask you to pay the same amount extra for the drill part.

By the way, their reviews on their own web site are fake. If you ever try to give a low rating to a product on their web site, they never accept it.

In the end, I came to conclusion that it is either Hornbach or order online from web sites with good quality service.

Unfortunately, really bad service from one person!

I had a bad and humiliating experience, picking up my goods from Almere Poort Gamma. The guy behind the counter was rude and impolite. He asked me my paspoort details and got impatient with me in minutes when it took me some time to get it, because I had no internet inside. I even asked him to keep calm, as it was out of my control! Then, when I wanted to make place for another customer and wanted to step aside, he yelled at me that I cannot take the car and items and I told him I am just stepping aside! Wow!! I looked at the other customer, who was from a parcel company and said you go ahead, because he had his hands full. Again this guy yelled really, and said frustrated that I cannot let this guy go first, because he can not do two things at a time. Me and the other customer looked at each other in awe and full of surprise. And to avoid my frustration I said ok I will leave the goods here and will step aside for a moment. I went outside.The guy from the postal company spoke to me outside almost apologizing, but he was just another customer, who had nothing to do with the situation. Back inside this guy held my passport and noted the passport number. He basically snatched my phone out of my hand! This was my tipping point!! He kept on going rude and had rolled my goods from behind his counter, as if really I was going to run away with these 2 heavy goods! I am still in shock and have not opened my goods, because i have lost my creativity and still have to let go of this humiliating experience. I was always happy to go to this Gamma, but this person will ruin its’s reputation and image. It has surely done for me. And I will never know what was his reason to behave like this!

Price adjustment on patio set

This was my first experience shopping at Gamma. I bought a patio set on sale for what I thought was a very reasonable sale price. A few weeks later, I saw the set was on sale again, but for a cheaper price. I called Gamma and asked if I could have a price adjustment, even though it had been a little over a month since it was delivered. Absolutely no problem at all: price was adjusted and I got over 100 euro refunded. The person on the phone was also very friendly and helpful.

Don't go here

Don't go here, the people are crooks..they double charged me and accused me of stealing even though I already bought the same items at another shop. Don't waste your time here, quite horrible and will never go back

Worst delivery experience!!!

I should've read the review before purchasing anything here! The service is the worst!!! I bought the shower room and paid an extra delivery fee for it. The components were shipped and just left in front of my house on the huge wooden rack. I needed to bring all the components inside my house MYSELF!!! Also, I needed to get rid of the huge rack that they just left behind. The worst service ever! I bought furniture from other websites before and they provided a whole nicer experience! They're just being too careless and just care about money.

Do not use this company

Do not use this company. If there is a problem or mistake they will do nothing to help.
They say a lot but do nothing.
Not worth the trouble. There are many other stores that do the same.
Spent over 2500 Euros at GAMMA - left with a defective product and NO help to rectify the problem.
STAY AWAY from this awful company.

I'm so impressed I decided to write a review. In times of Corona and lockdown, as a consumer I'm hugely disappointed at the greed and service companies give. Most stores that you may purchase though Click&Collect will charge you around 3 EUR to HAVE THE LUXURY OF ACTUALLY PICKING IT UP IN THE STORE. Is that not what we normally do? Further on when you are given the luxurious title of being able to pick it up in the store you also need to wait 1 day + for it to even happen. I only see greed and bad taste service. In Gamma, I purchased something that I needed on a very short time. I got an email to collect it within 5min! and it's free! My compliments for having a value for customers. With all the store I try to buy something I get disappointed. Thank you again!! I wrote this for inspiration that we consumers see the value

Excellent store advice and support

I have been buying several times in the Gamma of Hilversum. One person from the painting section, and the lady in the tools section, are absolutely fantastic.

They give plenty of advice, with patience, and they do everything possible to help me with my DIY projects at home.

Gamma DIY store does not deliver in time

Gamma DIY store lets you choose a delivery time in their webshop, but does not deliver on that date. I cannot use the leave that I have taken for the job due to lack of material! However, they do charge a lot of money for the delivery, but it does not come!

The WORST experience ever

The WORST experience ever. I have been waiting for a refund (150 euros) for more than a month. This is unacceptable. Sent numerous emails and no response. Tried to call and no contact possible after waiting 40 minutes on the line. Shameful.
