GAIL's Bakery - Richmond Reviews 5

While the pastries and coffee are nice at Gails Richmond, the service could be poor.
I was trying to order coffee but totally ignored by 2 members of staff who elected to serve other customers and ignored me standing in front of them, eventually asked me if l had been served and never apologised, l had to leave as they didn’t bother. I got what i wanted from the next door Milano cafe, were very pleasant. Will never go back to Gails Richmond.

A fantastic bakery with a real sense of community. The staff are always friendly and cheerful - baristas Maya and Minato deserve a special mention - they often have my coffee ready for me even before I've ordered it! I'm a regular morning customer and their smiles, service and excellent coffee making skills never fail to brighten my day! Gails opens early which is also another plus and clearly the Management team are working hard to deliver top customer service experience. Well done to all at Gail's Richmond and all your hard work!

I just visited the Gail’s in Richmond and I am unsurprised by their poor rating.

I was standing at the front of the till, no one acknowledged my presence, a lady joins the queue behind me and the assistant presents herself and serves the lady behind me! I’ve never experienced such poor service, she then proceeded to apologise to the lady behind me when I brought it to her attention that I was already waiting, as if the woman behind was on the receiving end of the poor service! She never apologised to me!

The fact they do not have many reviews is again a testament to their deliverance of poor service.

Many staff and no customer awareness.

Very disappointing visit, I had to leave my item and would never visit again. Service is the most critical part of any business and if you fail to get that right the company is undeserving of your money.

Visited Gail’s in Richmond a number of months ago. Not impressed by the service and lack of staff being able to clear and clean tables. As we have dogs decided not to visit again. They now allow dogs so we gave them another chance. Unfortunately nothing has changed. Tables are left uncleared and unwiped. Why can most other cafes carry out this basic task which Gail’s consistently fails to do?

Stuff undertrained and changing weekly. Popular products are being removed. Breads are loosing weight. Loyalty card not accepted anymore. Gail's is different now,since the new marketing management. Their popularity is based only on presence. A bread and a ham/cheese croissant 10 pounds.
