Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 60 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers report significant issues with the payment process, often finding that their payments are not registered or that the online portals are dysfunctional, leading to escalated charges. People frequently express dissatisfaction with the pricing, particularly the high cost of parking charges and the rapid increase in fines, which they perceive as unfair and predatory. Reviewers also highlight problems with the locations, noting a lack of clear signage regarding parking rules and restrictions, making it difficult to avoid penalties. The claims process is a major source of frustration, with many appeals being rejected without proper consideration, even when proof of payment or extenuating circumstances are provided. Furthermore, customers are unhappy with the staff, citing a lack of human contact, unhelpful automated systems, and a general disregard for customer concerns, especially when trying to dispute charges.

So received a fine from my gym carpark…

So received a fine from my gym carpark for exceeding 3 hour limit although gym members are entitled to free all day parking. Appealed the fine directly stating I'm a member and entitled to free parking, and that their signage states nothing about entering your vehicle reg into a machine(which they rejected the appeal on the basis of). refused to pay the parking fine for over a year until we eventually went to court. I put in a counterclaim explaining how they were unlawfully pursuing me. As expected by both G24 (car park company) and DCB Legal(their representatives) according to other reviews, they pulled out their claim weeks before court, leaving just my counterclaim. In the end they were ordered to pay me just short of £300 to cover my out of pocket expenses. Throughout the whole year they intentionally pursued me despite knowing there was no contract breach, in the hopes I would get intimidated and fold. they told my gym on two occasions they had cancelled the fine but continued to pursue me behind closed doors, sent me multiple intimidating letters including bailiff letters, called on occasions all for a fine they knew right from the beginning (because I as a simple citizen had to explained it to them) that there was no breach of contract and the fine was unlawful. DCB and G24 prey on the vulnerability of individuals and use malicious tactics to rinse them of their money. Be wary when using their car parks, and if you happened to receive an unlawful fine, pursue it to court, keep ALL evidence of everything from letters, signage, calls, any correspondence, and anything else related to matter and counterclaim against them. Feel free to email me if you need any assistance. Shame on both companies and their employees. Sold out for a pay check.

Received a parking notice from this…

Received a parking notice from this company as final notice which was the 1st letter received. I have raised appeal for consider the grace period where I have got the reply on 18th Sept by saying I need to pay £100 and no response added to my query, further there was no helpline to discuss. I have paid through helpline where they mentioned the payment reference number. However, payment is not deducted from my account. On 24th Sept, I received a letter form a debt collection company stating it’s even more £170. Spoke to this company and provided proof of payment, I have been told that I have not got 1st letter and got reply on 18th sept to pay 100£ but they didnt listen and just said that 1st letter was issued. I asked for evidence for letter delivery but they didn't listen and threaten to pay £170 otherwise legal action will be taken.
Seems this company is a full of scam people and even instruction is not clearly posted in the parking place and expect people that they aware of the details. I really concern how this company and debit collection operate.

Received a parking notice from this…

Received a parking notice from this company, paid through their online portal and have proof of payment. Received a second notice explaining that the fees gone up and that it’s still unpaid. Wrote a letter (no contact details to call) with proof of payment and heard nothing back. Then received a letter form a debt collection company stating it’s even more. Spoke to this company and provided proof of payment, I have been told that although we have proof of payment, this company will still be seeking to pursue funds?? Absolute cowboy company, will be submitting full
Complaints to this company, the debt collectors and the company that employes to manage their car park.

We accept you paid but we still want penalty charge

Received two penalty notices (£90 each) for non-payment of parking charges. Submitted bank statement print-outs showing both payments correctly made. G24 responded with “We accept your proof of payments correctly paid so will REDUCE THE FINES TO £20 EACH”. Draw your own conclusions about the integrity of this company…..

Absolute money grabbing Barstewards

Absolute money grabbing Barstewards
I parked in a Boots/Tesco on the Hagley road in Birmingham to have an eye test, for more than ninty minutes.
The staff at boots failed to tell me that I needed to give my registration on booking in, they only told me after I got the PCN notice, i'm not happy with the service. The appeal process was absolutely useless you speak to anyone on the phone. I won't be going back to that car park or the boots opticians again.

This is a total rip- off company

This is a total rip- off company. I parked in a Wickes car park for 106 minutes thinking I had 2 hours. But oh no, turns out it was 90 minutes and I have now been charged £60 for 16 minutes over in a car park that had in excess of 20 empty spaces. Never mind I spent thousands on a new kitchen within the store. Never again will I shop at any AWickes. Dispicable practice.

Disgusting company

Disgusting company. Not listening to an elderly disabled lady when she has sent her medical records showing she cannot drive and therefore not responsible for the fine. Not listened when she told them the name and address of the actual person responsible and STILL sent a court order.

Potentially criminal attempt to extort…

Potentially criminal attempt to extort money. Provided proof I was never parked for 2 hours... but had left a retail outlet and returned later. Proof via google maps tracking. G24 failed to respond to my correspondance despite their membership of IAS (independent Appeals Service - apparently) which requires a response from them within 28 days. Instead their response is a final notice demanding £100. My car made three arrivals and three departures from a car park (free) over the course of nearly three hours. G24 have only responded to one arrival and one departure more than 2 hours apart. G24 have the evidence recorded on CCTV of all the movements but will not view or acknowledge the evidence. I have advised the store in question that G24 are trying to fine customers who revisit the store on the same day!

Early last year I received a parking…

Early last year I received a parking fine from G24 Limited, even though I was using the gym in their car park, which I paid a monthly subscription for. Because I was there just over 2 hours and didn't enter my reg into the tablet (this was something new they recently bought in and you actually get 3 hours free parking), I got a fine. I took the letter Ito pure gym where they told me it wasn't their problem and to speak to G24. G24 are impossible to get hold of so I appealed the parking fine 3 TIMES!! (which btw, you do this through a portal on their website so have no proof of this, they know exactly what they're doing) Because they continued to send me letters reminding me of my fine but not acknowledging the appeals. Eventually I ignored all letters, but then started receiving debt collection, I ignored and then got county court letters which then led to a CCJ against me from G24 through DCB legal. I phoned DCB legal this morning and because it's gone as far as the courts, they can't reduce the payment of £260.32 and I had to pay. The CCJ will be lifted now but they can't tell me when as it depends on 'how busy they are' which is ridiculous.. 'could be a few days, could be a couple weeks' I unfortunately have no choice to pay as a CCJ will affect me getting a mortgage. SCAMMERS
