Thank you for everything you have done…

A literal joke of a company
A literal joke of a company. They exploit their employees ferociously. If you love yourself or your life - do not work for this company. Clients - don't sign up! They do programs and pretend it's custom. They spend hundreds of thousands to hire new shiny CEOs but pay their coaches around $40k/year to maintain 100 clients. You are not special - they just put up a lot of metrics to pretend to make you feel that way. No coach can actually connect with 100 clients and write a personalized program. That's why the "management" pushes coaches to use as many templates as they can. They do big lay offs of any coaches who don't want to maintain 100+ people. They also are actively working to use any/all Apple Watch data to sell and use in any way they can monetize. So DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR APPLE WATCH DATA. It's smoke and mirrors and not anything actually useful (especially for the pricepoint they are asking!)
A failing company that treats their staff pooly.
Support your local trainer not a company treats their coaches poorly.
Most of the coaches are amazing but the way the company treats their employees all while gas lightning their staff is an abomination.
Coaches are forced to take on 85 clients! with poor compensation.
Don't let the the new client survey fool you, it is fake and is not meant to pair you with a coach that fits your needs but to pair you with the next available coach.
The coaches are forced to sale and reprimanded when clients don't stick around even when the client has valid reasons.
In a short period of time I was transferred around several times when coaches kept disappearing without notice.
The app is clunky, outdated, unstable and with 85 clients the coaches you won't get the customization they promise.
Support your local trainers or work with a coach directly instead of giving money to a greedy company that uses their employees
Terrible Company - Waste of Time
If you have ever seen or see "your coach is moving on from Future as of today", they were terminated on the spot. No matter how much you pry and ask what happened, you will get no answer. They try to make it look like your coach quit without notice, when they were actually fired and had no chance to say anything to you. Even if you build an amazing client-trainer relationship over several years, they will give you nothing but a new coach you didn't pick and know nothing about.
Increasing the price from $150 to $200 in conjunction with all the coach turnover signals that this company is in big time trouble. No morals, no ethics, stay away from this garbage!
You are one of EIGHTY clients
Future doesn't want you to know that you are one of eighty or more clients for your coach! Some coaches have over 100!! What a ridiculous client load and unrealistic expectations for their coaches. No wonder so many people complain of getting similar workouts.
Because of this, they have turned over coaches like crazy. I ended up on my fourth coach after a year on the platform. They used to at least offer a $50 credit when your coach is terminated or quits, now you get nothing but a copy and paste message.
This company couldn't care less about it's employees or clients.
I love the future app
I love the future app! My coach Matt M has helped me set realistic goals that have had huge positive impacts on my health! With his help I have run my first half marathon!
Future doesn't refund deposit when you quit
I tried Future for about 4 months. I had a fantastic coach, but the program didn't work for me - I don't have workout space in my tiny home and I couldn't do many of the exercises due to bad knees. The company requires a $200 deposit for the required Apple watch, but haven't returned my deposit nor have they provided the return instructions for the watch. I can't access the app and you can't contact them through their website. This would keep me from trying them again at a later date.
Social Responsibility-Wellbeing of subscribers
I elaborated on my physical capabilities, challenges, and issues in the first facetime chat. I felt that Future did not take my needs and challenges seriously. Future is suitable for young and fit people, and unfortunately not good for people who might have injury or arthritis or other physical conditions as the trainers cannot customize based on the limitations. It is expensive as it is not as customized. I would have loved to keep the subscription, but the coach's insensitivity caused a hand injury that I have been dealing with for the last 3-weeks. I wrote them several emails, but other than basic courtesy, I did not see a response that would indicate that they would do anything to change. It seems they have enough happy young people and do not care for others. Unless they strategize to sell to only their target market, it will bite them eventually. Good luck to Future. I might report to BBB.
Cool idea but they have a long way to go still...
Cool idea and app. If you can afford spending some extra time on some back and forth communications and are generally healthy with no past injuries than I would say give it a go. The platform/service/programming still has a long way to go....it is a shame Future does not have a vehicle for receiving feedback on the app. Here are the issues I had:
1. My coach did not pay attention to details which required me to repeat myself and keep correcting him.
Examples would be - He gave me workouts on days I specifically told him I can't do workouts on. He included equipment in the workouts that I don't have after I sent him a video of the equipment I do have. When I pointed those things to him, there was no accountability and he did not bother to make the changes in the app as I requested over and over again....
2. it is nice to hear motivational recordings like "let's do this!" or "way to finish the day strong!", and my coach is a nice person, but that is hardly worth $150. There was no added value to having a personal virtual trainer.
Examples - he did not give me any feedback on my performance (even though he has plenty of information available to him). He did not explain why he was giving me certain workouts and exercises (so as far as I know there is no rhyme of reason to anything..).He did not address any nutritional aspects. I have acquired zero knowledge about best practices for myself.
Worst of all - I actually had to bring to his attention the fact that I am working on the same muscle groups on consecutive days without recovery. He changed it after I mentioned it, but did not admit to making a mistake. No accountability whatsoever.
3.The app itself still has a lot of technical glitches like workout with no instructional videos. instructions that does not match the video you are seeing. timers jumping ahead on their own...
The user does not have the ability to edit things on their own either. So if your coach doesn't correct their mistakes, there is nothing you can do about it.
The app does not come with any type of manual either so you have to figure everything out on your own, and I would not say it is super intuitive. It has some cool features but you may not find out about them...
4. There is no feedback vehicle - am I suppose to be the one "training" my trainer and improving their performance? You would think Future will realize that it can get awkward for a user to criticize a coach to his face and will put some mechanism in place to collect users feedback and deliver it to their coaches anonymously.
The app is actually pretty good
The app is actually pretty good. My trainer would not remove high impact functional fitness from my workouts. I have a hip injury and cannot do jump squats. Finally I relented one day when 2 of the 3 workouts in the app for the week were high impact. I injured my groin and had to go to the ortho. Maybe the trainers are too busy to actually customize it? I had very few check in meetings, no nutritional support, and when I requested over and over to have things changed out I was told that they do that on Sunday. Going to try either caliber or just pay a trainer for programming at this point. I just wanted to lift weights — like bench, squat, deadlift — and they couldn’t seem to provide that. They also only gave me 3 workouts per week for 45 minutes of which 15-20 minutes were cardio instead of the format I would have preferred.
High quality coaches, high quality app
Future's app is smooth, easy to use, and illustrates techniques well with video. Even as someone who has worked out for years, the trainers in the videos use impeccable form and allow you to introspect on your movement.
The coaches are the stars. My coach is incredibly knowledgeable, has a track record of athletic success, and has tailored my schedule for my own goals. He pushes me, and I've seen substantial progress.
I recommend Future to anyone that's serious about getting fit.
Frustrating and disappointing experience
My 2-month experience with Future was frustrating and a complete waste of time. I have bad knees, one of which I had surgery on several years ago, and a tricky shoulder. Though I explained these injuries along with my fears to the 2 trainers with whom I worked, my program was full of plenty of squats, including deep squats, and jumps, and in my view, other exercises that done incorrectly, would have injured me. And, no exercise adjustments/alternatives were offered. Though I spoke to the 1st trainer about my concerns after weeks of attempting to do his workouts, he still programmed exercises that were not right for me. After I spoke to the 2nd trainer, he disappeared after a few days, and shuffled me off to a 3rd trainer with whom he clearly did not share what I had stressed to him as my issues and problem areas. As someone who finds it hard to workout, I did my part in showing up and attempting to do the workouts, even the ones that I knew could cause me bodily injury if done incorrectly. What I got in return was that my concerns were ignored. And, to boot, no one took accountability for the errors in their programming. Such an utter disappointment.
Looks so cool yet so horrible!
Their website looks great and the idea is neat. I was hooked and filled out their form only to find out they do not offer service for Android users! You can write that down on the landing page Sir!
Tailored product, holds users accountable!
I've been using Future for about a month and absolutely love it. My coach Jordan constantly checks in about my fitness routine and does an amazing job tailoring workouts to my schedule, available equipment, and injuries. Easy to stick with, fun and, and reasonably-priced.
Get fit
Get fit! This app is the best. My trainer Jackie is the absolute best.
Easy to use app and great coaching
Easy to use app and great coaching. Especially helpful when gyms have been closed this year, Future was and is able to adapt programming to still keep you marching to your fitness goals.
FUTURE IS THE FUTURE (AND THE PRESENT)
The Future platform is the optimal balance of instruction, demonstration, customization, interaction and feedback. It is easily the equal of my many years of on-the-ground training that was 4-6 X $150/month. The Apple watch ensures accountability and my Coach's consistent, highly personal engagement and unfailing, thoughtful feedback makes the concept work seamlessly. None of the alternatives to Future is enough close. I am all in after 14 months - for good!
Great app and great coach
Great app and great coach. I highly recommend this one. I have experienced notable results over the past 6 months.
I love Future and my trainer
I love Future and my trainer. Before starting Future, I had lost about 30 pounds including muscle. My first goal was to rebuild muscle strength in particular areas. As I achieved those goals, I developed new goals to help me with my preferred sport (horseback riding) and she evolved my training perfectly to achieve those new goals.
Pre-covid, when I traveled for work, she would adapt my training schedule to the equipment that was available on the road which was also incredibly helpful.
I am stronger and more balanced and I feel great. Thank you Future!
Perfect program for me!
This program was perfectly designed for people like me! I love it. I have personal coaching ( Miles is fantastic), have set it up for the frequency and duration that I want, can access it according to MY schedule, don't have to go to a gym (but you can if you want to), and am achieving my own goals. I have been told I look 'buffed, and feel stronger and more physically fit than I have ever felt. Miles, my coach, addresses my questions quickly and effectively, and makes modifications based on my concerns while still driving me to stretch to meet my goals. I strongly recommend this program.
