Great quality bed

Ordered the platform bed with 6 drawers online, never having seen the actual product in person. There were a couple shipping delays but communication was good. The bed arrived, unassembled as requested, and it was better than we expected. It was embarrassingly easy to put together (2 screws) and it is solid wood. The quality is impressive.

Dud mattress, not covered

I was excited about their natural futon-like mattresses, and ordered a very affordable mostly cotton/a little wool mattress- similar to ones I've had before. I thought I'd gotten a good deal. But after a week, it had huge bumpy lumps in it. We flipped it, but the same thing happened. Unsleepable. Useless purchase.

The company's customer service was really caring when I first placed the order, like they called before confirming my order.
But when I told them my issue, they said their company warranty, and the mattress maker's warranty, may or may not cover it. They said it was my fault for buying a cheap mattress. This turned in to over a month of emails and phone calls, me sending photos of the lumpy mattress, then sending more photos... I was constantly told, 'okay wait and see,' 'okay we'll get back to you.' And months later after I asked for updates multiple times, the answer was 'sorry no, but you can get 10% off a new mattress from us.'

Cotton and wool futon mattresses are made with natural, compressible materials, and some unevenness can develop initially as the fibers settle. Regular flipping, rotating, and light compression (such as walking or rolling the surface) are part of the normal break-in process.

We also want to clarify that during the ordering process, we did share that a 4" mattress is typically better suited for occasional use or specific setups, and may not provide the same consistency for daily use on a platform bed. That said, we understand that every customer’s expectations and preferences are different.

Your case was reviewed both internally and with the manufacturer, and while it did not qualify under the warranty criteria, our intention was never to leave you without support. We’re sorry if any part of the communication came across otherwise.

I had a great experience working with…

I had a great experience working with everyone at Futonland, the order review team explained everything in an easy to understand way, and the delivery guy was courteous and quickly assembled the futon in less than an hour…the price for white glove delivery is worth it.

Dont buy this trash. Dont buy anything from futonland

Dont buy this trash.. quality is horrible. Fake wood will come off. Will not be mahogany for long.. its also flimsy . This only good for temporary situation. Around 1 month. After that you will need to buy new one.. you think there's a warranty. Nope... they will do nothing for you. Your on your own. Honestly best to buy cheaper solution in ikea. Same low end furniture there.

After you reported the defect, we contacted the manufacturer and were able to arrange a replacement arm for you as a courtesy. To speed things up, we also asked that it be shipped directly to you instead of waiting for our regular store shipment, and the replacement has since been delivered.

Thank you, we received the chairs during the time scheduled. i ordered 4 chairs and 2 are slightly different color than the other 2 but similar. Once of the chairs was missing one screw and one chair rocks slightly, otherwise everything was great.

Worth the wait

We placed our order back in November 2025 but because our item was on back order we didn't receive it until February 2026. That being said, Futonland kept us in the loop with updates and phone calls to reassure that that haven't forgotten about us. The best customer service ever. We love our new arch lamp.
