Avoid this company they were also trading under Woodliving from the same address and I lost over £10,000 for a kitchen that I never received as that company went into administration. They will say this is a fake review but I have all the documents from Woodliving to prove it is not. I would like to meet with Mr Diplock to receive a proper apology and my money back.

I wish I could give it no stars

I ordered through Etsy an island unit paying £955 one year ago and delivery was to be made by November 2020. When acknowledging the order they asked if I wanted a worktop upgrade and baskets which would fit in the unit. I agreed and paid a further £140 direct to them.
November came and went and no island unit arrived.
It was nigh impossible to reach these people - the telephone is rarely answered and if a message is left no one comes back to you. Emails are unanswered.
On the rare occasion I spoke to someone they said my order had been lost and work to make the unit would be started urgently. I was promised a telephone call with a delivery date but no call was received.
On another occasion when I managed to speak to someone I was told the unit was now in their finishing department and would despatched on the 9th July 2021. Again nothing was received and no explanation offered.
I have written letters sent by Royal Mail Signed For post and no reply of any sort was received.
I am grateful that Etsy refunded me the original £955 although this was outside their refund period.
This still leaves the extra £140 I paid. Will I see it? I have doubt it.
My advice to anyone considering buying from this company - DON'T - in my opinion they are not to be trusted.

I ordered a kitchen pantry and paid…

I ordered a kitchen pantry and paid £1000 for it last 0ctober 9th 2020. Deceivers delays told January/ February. Then we had the covid pandemic and shut down. Then told working with limited staff due to covid rules and delivery would be hopefully April/May by melanie. Still nothing chased again june to be told melanie had been let go due to paperwork errors and my order hadn’t been passed to the workshop by wayne Beadle. Told it would be now made and advised when ready. No reply to emails during august and no answer on the phone. Still selling on eBay. Then the name suddenly changed to KBC woodwork Ltd on eBay same prices and pictures of stock. Finally got through on 7th September and told by Keiran that managers had done a runner and workers had taken it over. Nothing they could do. Would send me a reference number for creditors. Still not received anything. Company house shows jaxon joinery still trading and no liquidation notes. Cant find KBC On there as a ltd company which they are trading as on eBay ?Suspicious that this is still same people and company just avoiding past responsibilities.

I have had a terrible experience with this company we were left with no kitchen for over 10 months and still a unit missing with now no way of contacting them. Gave them chance after chance after chance. So disappointed with promise after promise and then silence, paid for this months ago.

Worst company I’ve ever dealt with!

Waited months for a sink unit. All very friendly and positive to start with. Then when checking everything was ready for stated delivery date, discovered it hadn’t been built.

Chased repeatedly to the point of calling every day. Received misinformation or flat out lies. Eventually received product which was poor. Doors didn’t shut properly. Work surface chipped (my fault apparently).

Tap delivered was wrong tap and wrong colour. Posted back to them for agreed refund. Nearly a year later still no refund. Truly awful experience.

Having since read other countless one star reviews from customers with similar awful experiences, I’m sure they will claim I’m a competitor or something like that. But I’m sure if you’ve read the other reviews you’ll realise that this approach of theirs is wearing thin.

If you google the individuals and directors involved on companies house you’ll see they just sink the business and start again once the litigation adds up.

Another sign that the reviews are genuine. Maybe if they didn’t have to spend some much time replying to these negative reviews, accusing dissatisfied customers of being liars. Then maybe they’d have more time to try and run an average rather than awful business.

Avoid avoid avoid. You don’t need this stress in your life.

UPDATE: Dishonest thieves or overworked artisans?

I am beginning to believe all the bad reviews here. Ordered a larder in May. All very helpful. Lovely drawings and all the modifications we wanted from Wayne. Message via eBay (order number 10-07026-03466) on 1st July saying it was ready for delivery. I replied asking if it was possible to deliver on the 16th July. Got a reply straight back saying not a problem. Booked in for delivery on the 16th.

And. Then. Nothing. No replies to emails, no picking up phone, no response via eBay. Silence.

And that is when I started looking around and finding horror stories of this company being a total scam, in constant litigation, subject of numerous CCJs. And then there are a number of detailed positive stories out there and stories of things being a nightmare, then being resolved. And replies on this review site from the company as recently as May this year. They could be very elaborate plants to ensure they can still take money off customers despite the high chance of them being thieves. So the jury is still out.

If you are reading this Jaxon Joinery, I suggest you get in touch PDQ and put this to rights. I have been scammed before this year. Two things you should know: my patience has become extremely limited for people who don't produce what they say they are going to. And I will go to the ends of the world to make sure you are brought to justice if you turn out to be scamsters.

UPDATE 22/7/21

After writing this review, creating a noise with eBay and calling several of the neighbours in the same industrial estate to find out if the company is legitimate, lo and behold I get a message this morning saying it’s going to be delivered today. And lo and behold it has been. By Cody. Really nice young bloke with a fledgling delivery business who apparently acts as PR and general apologist for Jaxon. So I got a lot of information from him about the owner etc. Bottom line, the product is a good piece of kit, and really well made by what Cody told me is a team of talented cabinet makers. But from a company that is being very poorly managed with extremely poor communication skills. And that’s the owner’s fault. Nor do you arrange delivery for a 220cm high larder weighing several hundred kilos with one person. So, Kyle Diplock, get your act together, treat your people fairly, pay your bills and communicate clearly and honestly with your customers or you’ll find yourself with no business at all. Rather than a thriving one.

Have faith …… the furniture is amazing quality

So, I ordered before reading any reviews, Kyle admitted there had been bad reviews, once I read them I must admit that was worried, but Kyle and Wayne reassured me that I would be getting a quality product in my timescale.
I was sent photos of my inspired bespoke kitchen units designed by Wayne in preparation.
On the due date, they arrived 6 hrs early, delivered by the amazing Codie, what a star!!!
He and my DIY guy hauled my larder cupboard up 4 turns on the stairs, through my home which is a 1st floor flat in a 200yr old house.
To say it was a struggle is an understatement, the weight in the units and larder can only be imagined, the quality of the workmanship is amazing, I am so thrilled, I keep going into the kitchen to check I’m not dreaming- it is stunning!!!
To impress my 83yr old Mother is not easy but she is flabbergasted that I managed to choose and take possession of such beautiful furniture.
Kyle, Wayne & Codie, Thank you so much!!!

Avoid

I would advise anyone to steer well clear. Currently have a court case outstanding against them as have many others, as noted elsewhere. Look at Jaxon Joinery and Woodliving reviews as well and you will see history of non-delivery.
Update following reply below: I was not given any manufacturer's drawings to approve and the unit was 20cm out from the agreed dimensions. It's no good now offering to talk- you flatly refused to do so when I contacted you about this. The court decided in my favour, but you have not settled the CCJ or replied to my email requesting payment.

Dear DM – As the measurements provided to us was not taken by ourselves and or appointee, we surely cannot be held responsible for this, the manufactures drawing that we crate for all our items were supplied to you for approval. We would love to see you happy as a client and there is very little that makes us more happy than a correctly measured and installed unit (which both we in this case did not do)

The unit was produced to within a 0,5 mm tolerance of the manufacturer’s drawings (supplied to you) and so delivered as requested.

When we received the unit back from yourself the unit was severely damaged to which we have photographs.

Please do contact us should you want to resolve the matter. We would be happy to talk and maybe we can even try and assist in finding a solution.

Jaxon Joinery or Furniuk or Harrison.J.Holdings Ltd. I am saddened to be writing this when their products looked quite good

I am saddened to be writing this review. I have tried numerous times to contact Jaxon Joinery who appear to be trading also as Furniuk and Harrison.J.Holdings Ltd however I have not had a reply from any one at the companies since this lockdown started!
I am saddened as I had ordered and paid for a pantry cupboard for my daughter who has been working in Intensive care with Covid patients putting her life at risk and then these people have chosen to treat her and me like this. They should be ashamed of them selves !!!! to add to it I have a very sick husband and they took money off me when I was obviously distracted by the stress of worrying about our daughter, my husband and running our business all at the same time. I was dealing with a lady called Melanie and I was told I had to pay up front for them to commence making my cupboard and then it went all quiet, they appear to have closed down any contact including Etsy which is when I realised my money was gone. On researching the company I discovered other people have been let down too. We all know we have had a very stressful time during lockdown but they could at least contact the customers to arrange other delivery dates etc. I have been advised to make a small claims but it is clear that there must be alot of other claims so where will that get me. I question the most recent reviews because how can people be getting their orders when they will not even reply to an email to customers who have paid for their orders. I am sickened that they have treated an NHS worker like this! come on kyle and wayne get your act in order.

I am adding this as Wayne Beadle of the company has now contacted me and said they have every intention of completing my order. So when I receive the cupboard I will let you all know but so far I am still waiting ok. I hope they do honour my order as their work looks very high quality and that is why I ordered a pantry cupboard. I hope they are fulfilling their back log of orders first before they take any new orders. Watch this space
UPDATE - 5 May 2021.
Well folks I have now had a few photos of what appears to be my cupboard in the making. Fantastic ! Hope to hear very soon when we can arrange delivery with Wayne. The motto with this company must be “Be patient” with them. Everyone has had a horrendous time during Covid, all it takes is a little communication with customers to give them the assurance they need. Everyone has a phone these days so it is unacceptable not to have made a simple call to speak to your customers who paid up front with their hard earned money. Hope my next update can be a photo of the cupboard in my hardworking daughters kitchen. Watch this space folks.

Hello folks - WE HAVE FINALLY received our cupboard, delivered to our daughter. One or two items were not as we ordered but we think we can live with them at the moment we are just pleased to get our cupboard we paid for in advance and our daughter is pleased to be able to fill it up with the stuff that was bursting out of her kitchen units. Thankyou Wayne for getting it to us and hopefully you are making other customers happy too. Just remember if we have another wonderful lockdown all it takes is a simple email or a phone call to keep your customers in touch. Also don't take any other orders until you complete the ones you have or explain that you have a waiting list so they know the score from the start then it is up to the customer as to whether they will wait or go somewhere else. Your workmanship is lovely and quality so we are pleased we nagged you to get it done. Thank you.

Afternoon Mrs Atkinson

I apologise for the delays in delivery as mentioned by phone.

As you are aware I contacted you upon returning to work and have maintained good contact either by phone or email and delivered when agreed.

As I also explained during the last few months, we have had due to Covid issues with staff, deliveries, furlough, stock…. (But sadly, this does probably not count as an excuse.) These were/ are the battles we have had to deal with – we do however believe that these dark days have now passed as we are fully operational and producing beautiful bespoke units.!

I Have just received your voice mail and wanted to respond with all relevant information we had for you in the final customer check sheet,

This is the information confirmed by yourself which our cabinet makers would have been instructed to work to,

Bespoke Larder dimensions of 1400mm wide x 2100mm h x 550mm deep (at the widest and highest point at per attached manufacture drawing (unit 1)

This was to have 1 x 300mm drawer (external measurement) as listed, 2 x tall doors, external plinth, and cornice,
Internals were to have 1 drawer with cutlery inserts in solid oak and 1 pull out tray style shelf to avoid things rolling off while being used.

I sent progress pictures throughout the build as requested as well as final pictures with a video, this was fully checked for dimensions and spec before this left.

I have also attached these for reference.

Also due to the importance of this arriving to you safely I paid for an upgraded 2-man delivery service at my cost in compensation which is now delivered.

I have noticed you are still very active on Trust pilot. We do therefore feel that these comments are extremely unfair but still have attempted all we can to satisfy your demands ... …. I can just again apologise for the delay in your larder being delivered to you

You cannot imagine how much effort went into the completion of your units and we are proud of our work as every producer at work puts his name to a unit.

I truly wish that you are happy with your Larder unit, as we have worked day and night to keep to the timeline agreed after contact (and after the world opened again for us to trade !!)

Unprofessional and untrustworthy - consider other options. Not this.

Final update, May 2021. I have been asked by Kyle and Wayne to remove or update my review to reflect their desire to make good, which I am happy to do and will explain what has happened. A few weeks ago in April, Kyle contacted me wanting to make the unit, as I mentioned below. I replied, but it seems they didn't receive the reply. In the meantime, I contacted their local press around Canterbury to supply an article about our experience for a feature about companies who were exploiting people during lockdown. I also had the same article ready to go to my local press and in various areas of the country where others have had the same experience with Jaxon as me. I did mention this to Kyle and Wayne in my 2nd response in some detail. I understand that this would not have been a good outcome for Jaxon/Furniuk as this immediately provoked more contact than I had ever had from them. I can confirm that they very quickly issued a full refund, which I am very grateful for, particularly since I believe I'm alone in receiving one. Just after this was agreed, a spate of articles came out in the nationals about exploitation of vulnerable people during lockdown and rogue companies taking people's money for nothing, so I was fairly confident that on the back of that I would have got something in the personal finance pages of the nationals too. However, I honoured my agreement and did not supply this either, provided they issued a full refund, which they did very soon afterwards, I am delighted to say. Obviously I can't comment on their workmanship, other than pictures that I've seen from the few who have actually received units (subsequently altered, repainted or discarded), but I can reveal that we obtained our full refund. I see now that they have replied to my review, which is kind but I dispute their claim that the lack of communication/delay/non-appearance of goods were due to other people: the directors are in charge of the business and they are the ones I tried to contact time and time again. Therefore they have ultimate control over everything in their business. They have had the same issues with Woodliving (the previous company) so this isn't something new for them. Some of the legal action towards Jaxon has occurred way before the lockdowns, so blame cannot be apportioned to anyone but them. What is positive is that they have stated that they intend to face their unhappy customers. I hope that this update will serve as proof that there can be a happy ending and that perhaps you might even get the unit you ordered, paint, correct handles and all, or they'll be in contact to refund you!

I confirm that this is a true and valid account of events as they happened and I consider this matter closed.

Update. I have been contacted by Kyle once again offering to make the unit we ordered 8 months ago. Problem is, we're now in the process of ordering another kitchen and with their appalling lack of communication I can't be sure that they'll have used the correct paint colour to paint it and that we'll be able to match it exactly, even less that they'll confirm this. They are IMPOSSIBLE to get hold of which is one of the biggest issues here for all of us. After nearly 8 months and nothing having materialised, I don't have a great deal of faith that they would produce the right thing anyway. But I wouldn't know - because they never seem to reply to emails!

The others I have virtually met who have experienced the same as we have, have spoken about wrong units being photographed, wrong specs, no communication. Just a mess. It seems they don't have any employees but themselves and those that do the work for them have to use their own tools! You really couldn't make it up! It would be funny if it wasn't for the fact that we're £1650 out of pocket. Clearly the money we all have given them has been spent or is perhaps trying to finance the next incarnation of this, but it's not an honest way to do business.

There are now a lot of us who have experienced the sorry business that is Furniuk/Jaxon. I would seriously advise people to be very wary. More details if you contact the link left in another dissatisfied customer's review below. I do think it's very worrying that they have had to include fake/bought reviews from Cesar NYC in the USA to up their positives on this site. More worrying still is that this isn't the first time this has happened to them, nor the first company that they have created to do exactly this. But CCJs and bad reviews don't seem to have stopped them. I just wish they'd get in touch with a viable solution - we're up for negotiating - but they just ignore your mails! So we're still waiting after 8 months and will keep a watchful eye on Companies House and the rest just in case they do try to do this again.

Dear Kirsty
It is clear that matters derailed with the staff member that assisted in your order. We have informed you that this person is not with our company anymore.
We thank you for your understanding and accepting the full refund we tendered in acceptance of this unfortunate situation with a said staff member . We are very sad to see you go as a client and really would have preferred to amend the matter and to build you a beautiful new unit .

Should you not be satisfied by the next manufacturer , we would be willing to assist and feel assured that our latest work delivered is of very high standard .

Great service, Great product,

Ordering over email is always a difficult experience especially when it comes to matching existing kitchen units! However service and end product matched perfectly. Not just that the end product delivered in one piece was perfect, real workmanship! So thank you guys will recommend you and will 100% use you again one day soon.

It's been a long wait, but the product is excellent

After placing an order in September and experiencing so many of the same worries and frustrations as many others have on here- from very sparse communication, moving completion dates and no certainty of if/when I would receive my kitchen island, I'm relieved to report that today I received a call from the company to confirm I would be home for delivery.

I've now received the kitchen island and the work is extremely well done and exactly to my specifications. It's a very nice piece of custom furniture. For this reason (and giving them benefit of the doubt that the challenges of the pandemic caused significant disruption to their staff resource), I'm giving them four stars.

Ordered a kitchen island from Jaxon…

Ordered a kitchen island from Jaxon Joinery through Etsy in October. Was told 8 weeks, then told it would go past Christmas, then told end of March, etc. In the meantime they first suspended their Etsy shop and then it disappeared completely which started the alarm bells ringing. Then I started to see the negative reviews on here so opened a case with Etsy. Feel so lucky that I was able to get my money back. Opened a case and within 10 days roughly the money was back in my account. Feel sorry for those who have gone direct.
