Fraudsters that need Holding to Account

It looks as though many people are experiencing the same issues with this company i.e. paying for an auction item, the item not being supplied (with some bogus reason being given as to why) and then the company simply ignoring you altogether and stealing your money (or providing a further bogus reason as to why they can't repay). Me and my Co. have unfortunately had the same issue recently.

The director of this company (Ian Wildbore) needs to be held accountable... Does anybody know a way of connecting through this website (without sharing direct contact details ideally)?

Charity Fundraising Auctions/CFA Nottingham Limited

I believe people are getting this company mixed up with Charity Fundraising Auctions (CFA Nottingham Limited), ‘fundraising auctions’ are a different company that have now shut down.
If you are here looking for CFA Nottingham, they are a truly awful company who will take anyone’s money without second thought.
They are not in administration as they would like people to believe, check companies house. As somebody commented before, Ian Wildbore is also the owner/director of Elisium Travel/Experiences so beware.

They folded.

After a lot of frustration, I have just learned that this company has declared bankruptcy and is now in receivership.
You may be able to make a section 75 claim with your bank.
Good luck.

Awaiting prizes and communication

Poor communication after the event with many items not being delivered until chased. We have emailed all emails addresses daily for over a week and have not been responded too.

They take your money but don’t deliver the product

We purchased a safari package for £3000 through this company and 4 weeks prior to our trip to Zulu Nyala in South Africa this company emailed us to say that they would not be honouring the booking and would not be refunding the money and should claim it back through our credit card company. All our flights had been booked. Do NOT use this company as they kept our money for themselves. They paid the charity £352.50 after a £52.50 credit card fee meaning CFA kept the amount of £2595.00. This is NOT a company anyone should be doing business with as they are unethical. Please note the MD and major shareholder of CFA and Elisium Travel is same person – Ian Wildbore.

Arguably the worst customer experience…

Arguably the worst customer experience and service levels I have ever had with any company in my 48 years on this planet. They only acknowledge, or reply to, 1 in maybe 5 or 6 emails. They take your money then you never hear from them. I have demanded a refund for the £700 I paid for an experience at a charity auction, and which they have still not booked, or provided me any details on, oh and I paid the £700 in March!!!! Absolutely utterly awful. Do not use these people they are crooks. Will try and claim via a legal action.

Avoid - don't provide the goods.

I bought a prize from these people at a fundraiser and paid over £2,000 for it. Turns out they had no rights to sell it then they refused to pay me my money back. Took them to court, got judgement against them which they have now appealed because they didn't read the papers in time! Been sent to a hearing with a date more than a year away. Meanwhile they sit on my money and use every effort to avoid repaying it. Despicable - avoid like the plague. Crooks in my view.

Avoid

So- after threatening company with legal action finally contact was made. 4 course dinner did not include any drinks, also had to pay service charge- £500 + £125 ( two glasses of wine two port!!).
Grand Prix which was purchased for my father and I - we made clear he is registered disabled and needed guaranteed chair in grandstand near toilets. Paid extra £400 on top of initial £1500 to upgrade to what he needed because of his issues then had to pay an extra £200 on top of that to pay for taxis as parking was not arranged as promised, due to a lack of information from the auction company. When we arrived, there were no lifts in grandstand, dad had to walk up two flights of metal stairs to virtually the top row for his seat. The toilets were only accessible by going down the stairs across the way. We were told we would get buggy’s to take us from car/ coach park to stand- nothing was organised. Unfortunately it appears that there is a lack of training and understanding around disability and exactly what the experiences entailed. The lack of response to emails and telephone calls in response to our concerns and eventually complaints (sent to director as told to do by a staff member) says it all. As we are not the only people at the same auction to have the same experience- it appears that this is their customer (dis)service.

Nothing to show for £2k outlay

Spent £2195 on two trips at a local fundraiser. 5 weeks later and no sign of either trip. Impossible to get hold of. Do not respond to emails. Smelling awfully like a scam. Avoid like the plague.
