Isabel Chavez was such an incredible host. Our trip was a perfect balance between adventure and leisure. I never felt worried that I wasn’t doing enough, and I never felt that I was overdoing it. I go... See more

I just came back from the FTLO Travel…
I just came back from the FTLO Travel Sardinia trip and I will have to say this was the best trip I have taken with this company! Piera was the trip leader and made every experience memorable with her outgoing personality and her passion for travel. From olive oil tastings, wine tastings, local cuisines and excursions, this trip made for a memorable one. The highlight for me was the catamaran excursion where swimming in turquoise clear waters and snorkeling became a new hobby! I highly recommend traveling with FTLO Travel.
South of France & Barcelona trip with FTLO
This was my first trip with FTLO and it exceeded my expectations! Our trip leader, Eleonora, went above and beyond at every turn, making sure the group was taken care of while keeping things fun and flexible. She has the ability to connect with everyone she meets and her energy made it so memorable. Hope to book another trip with Eleonora soon!
Sardinia with Pi!
Just got back from Sardinia, Pi was our group leader& I love her! She is truly one of the coolest and most amazing people I’ve ever met. She was so kind, helpful, and went above and beyond to make our week in Sardinia unforgettable. She made the experience so much more special than I ever could have imagined, and by the end of the trip, I was literally crying saying goodbye to her and the group. I feel so lucky to have had her as our leader and will forever be grateful for the memories she helped create!
Trip of a Lifetime
This was a truly incredible trip with amazing people, sites, food, and activities. The highlight of the trip throughout was Pi, the trip leader. She was not only professional, prompt and did everything to make us feel taken care of, her bright personality and positivity made the whole experience a complete joy. She’s a special person who loves life and it was a pleasure to get to travel with her!
Sardinia Trip
I just came home from Sardinia, my second trip with FTLO. Piera “Pi” was my tour guide and I can’t say enough wonderful things. She was extremely pleasant to be around, kind and very organized, reaching out prior to the trip starting with recommendations. She really helped cultivate a warmth within our group and set the tone for an amazing and memorable trip. She made sure that everyone was taken care of whether it was arranging dinner reservations, a third boat day or recommendations for those who wanted to stay behind and explore the city. I absolutely loved Sardinia and I think Pi and the group I was with had everything to do with that. Couldn’t recommend this trip more!
Sardinia
Just finished my 2nd trip with FTLO in Sardinia and what an incredible experience it was - I cannot recommend this enough. The itinerary was perfectly planned for a relaxing, but adventurous trip with great food, beautiful beaches, and boat trips we will always remember.
What made this trip even more memorable was our trip leader Pi. FTLO truly has someone special to lead this trip. She always had recommendations for us on our free time, helped us make dinner reservations, and even helped plan a spontaneous boat day because we just couldn’t get enough! She truly made this trip unforgettable. Pi may have started as a leader for this trip, but definitely ended as a friend. If you have the chance to take this trip with Pi, don't hesitate.
8th FTLO trip!
Just finished my 8th trip with FTLO to Sardinia and had Pi as my guide. She was absolutely incredibly and the trip was fabulous. We had two boat days, winery visits, food tours, cave visits and friendships created to last a lifetime. Pi never let us down. Prior to the trip she was sending recommendations for anyone that may arrive early. During the trip she always kept us on schedule and informed. She helped organize dinner reservations for our free nights, and even organized a boat excursion for our free time. I have found a new friend across the world in Pi and can’t wait to travel with FTLO and Pi again!
Sardinia Trip
I recently went to Sardinia. I’ve been able to travel to a lot of places, but Sardinia is definitely at the top of the list. The beauty of the island is unmatched. But what made the trip the best was our guide Pi! We were in the best hands with her. Her communication throughout the trip was top notch. We also had quite a few people with food sensitivities and to say she was on top of it would be an understatement! She is an amazing tour guide and an amazing human being. If you are thinking of taking the Sardinia trip - book it!!
No better way to see the world
Recently came back from an unforgettable trip to Barcelona and Nice with FTLO, and it while it was only 9 days long the memories will certainly last a life time.
Our trip leader Eleonora and the crew made the trip stress free without having to worry about anything and overthinking every little detail. Highly recommend for anyone looking for the simplest way to travel.
Elenora - S. France & Barcelona
Elenora, my trip leader, ensured this trip completely exceeded my expectations! She went above and beyond to help me navigate the countries, plan other activities I wanted to do, and suggesting and making reservations. She did absolutely everything in her power to help make sure I was the happiest girl in the whole world - and she did the same for everyone in our group! I really enjoyed that this trip was balanced between planned activities and free time. My favorite activities were definitely the paella class in Clara’s backyard (such a unique experience) and the winery tour (who doesn’t love wine tasting). One thing I was surprised by is that majority of our group was mid/upper 30s. I definitely expected to be the oldest with a bunch of 20s but that wasn’t the case. If you want to go on a fabulous trip without the stress of navigating around alone - don’t think twice about booking. And if you are blessed to have Elenora, there nothing that will get in the way of an absolutely unforgettable experience!
The Copenhagen, Oslo & Stockholm Trip (7/12 - 7/19)
Just recently finished my 4th FTLO Trip by going to Scandinavia. This was a destination that has long been on my list to visit, and I feel FTLO continues to excel in curating exciting activities.
What made this trip most memorable and fun was both the friends I made and our trip leader, Maddy. Not only does she have an incredible sense of humor, but her vast knowledge made her a trusted guide throughout each Scandinavian city we visited. She had gone above and beyond every single day, and I feel there's nobody else that should be leading this trip. I could see myself doing another trip with Maddy as a leader.
I'm looking forward to my next trip!
Life is not the amount of breaths you…
Life is not the amount of breaths you take, it's the moments that take your breath away.. and you will experience these moments with FTLO. I just came back from a trip to South of France-Barcelona, with a heart full of great memories, wonderful time with the group, and of course, our superb tour leader Eleonora!
She was incredible! A great guide and organizer of all the activities, and most importantly, a truly genuine, caring, kind and charismatic person!
I am so thankful for her. FTLO, please keep Eleonora on all the trips, as I don’t want to have anyone else on my future trips.
Kateryna
Eleonora is the best!
I recently travelled to the south of France and Spain through ftlo. Eleonora was the best leader I could’ve asked for. She went above and beyond to make sure everyone’s needs were met and that everyone was comfortable and happy. She even offered to go to the pharmacy and pick up medicine for me!
She was funny, knowledgeable, and so kind! I will miss her so much!
I definitely recommend booking a trip through ftlo, and cross your fingers that Eleonora is your trip leader! Best experience of my life.
I met AMAZING people on this trip
I met AMAZING people on this trip - that was a bonus I wasn’t expecting. I had wanted to visit these cities for years but actually the coolest thing about this trip was the group I got to travel with. Aarpi was a fantastic tour guide who really cared about the group experience, and I’m grateful for the time I spent in Budapest, Vienna, and Prague.
First FTLO trip and will definitly be…coming back for Eleonora
First FTLO trip and will definitly be returning only if Eleonora is my guide! Met amazing people and had a great time throughout the trip. She kept us entertained and informed of everything was planned and allowed us time to have "free time" so we can wander at our own pace!
FTLO Croatia June-July 2026
I went of the trip after hearing good things from fellow travel alumni I had previously traveled with, it was even surpassed my expectations for location, hotels, food, and great tripmates. I definitely recommend.
Hvroje (Henry) was an exceptional leader and made it fun. He helped us plan our free time where we booked an extra boat excursion and some restaurants for meals together. He also stepped up when a friend had an injury.
This was my 10th trip, it is top 2 of not my favorite now.
FTLO Sardinia
FTLO Sardinia is a wonderful trip. I have travelled quite a bit (including with a competitor travel company for 20s-40s and other group tour providers), but FTLO truly stood out, and I would book with them again
Itinerary: The three towns we visited (Cagliari, Cala Gonone, and Alghero) were all wonderful, and quite different from each other. We had the perfect amount of time in each town. (One tip though: the tour leaves Cagliari straight after breakfast on Day 3. If there's anything you want to do, see, or buy in Cagliari, I recommend making time to do it before the trip officially starts, as you don't have a ton of free time after the boat day! There are pharmacies and supermarkets at every stop, but Cagliari has all the major stores).
Pace: Excellent pace - no early mornings, no super-long car rides, no rush, always at least two hours between a day activity and an evening activity. Having at least two nights in each location also felt right.
Activities: The included activities were top notch. The beach club was great, with comfy sunbeds and umbrellas pre-booked for our group, on one of Sardinia's protected beaches (I felt like a local!) I loved the two boat days - the boat and catamaran were both luxurious, with plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax. The agriturismos were all authentic and we were often the only group there - a private experience!
No cut corners, no tourist traps, no craft demonstrations that are actually high-priced scammy tourist shops - just great activities benefitting local Sardinians :)
Transport: Our private mini van was high-quality, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The longest drive was about 3 hours, with breaks. Our driver Roberto was very good and very safe.
Group: Our group of 8 was fantastic - great size, great spirit. I honestly believe a trip like this should bring like-minded people together, and it truly did.
Food: The welcome dinner and farewell dinner were both EXCELLENT, multi-course, delicious meals in atmospheric restaurants (especially the farewell dinner - so special). Most of the meals we had were fresh, locally made (or hand made!), and catered well to the group. I usually get super hungry and barely snacked at all on this trip! The hotel breakfasts were pretty good, and offered a huge variety. I think the trip also had a few more included meals than advertised. (One tip: be very forthcoming about food preferences on the pre-trip survey. Our trip leader Piera organised alternatives for every dietary preference - no matter how small. And definitely note down if you don't like fish or seafood, as the first night was a fish/seafood based meal. Generous substitutions were organised for those who let FTLO know they don't eat much fish).
Hotels: The three hotels we stayed at were all in the best locations in each town, clean, quiet, comfortable and safe. While they weren't the most luxurious hotels I've ever visited, they met the expectations set by FTLO, and I would definitely prefer the great location rather than staying at a fancier hotel out of town. (None of our hotels had balconies or a swimming pool, which some FTLO alumni on the tour mentioned was different from their past experiences).
Trip Leader: I know you can't choose your trip leader, but if you could, you would want to choose Piera. She's fantastic, and a real asset to FTLO. Pi has great energy, humour, and enthusiasm. She is a Sardinian native (near to Alghero) and is incredibly knowledgeable about all the best places to visit, shop, and eat. She was great at leading the group, organising optional activities for everyone, but also at meeting everyone individually (I occasionally noticed her huddled in a one-to-one side chat, or quietly/discreetly taking care of anyone who felt unwell). She was also incredibly helpful when I lost my prescription glasses, calling around local optical stores to organise a same-day replacement, and accompanying me to ensure no language barriers. Love my new ray bans, even better than the old glasses I lost!
Other random tips:
*The hotel we stayed at in Cala Gonone charged €20 for a whole bag of laundry. This is the best place to wash a few items. After the boat day, our whole group pooled together one bag to wash our towels. Do this!
*Day 7 is an entirely free day in Alghero, until about 5pm. Our group organised another beach club day, but you could do anything. The trip doesn't go too deep on the history of Sardinia, so this could be a good place to do a walking tour or visit a museum if you were interested.
*While most places accept card, try to keep small bills (€5 and €10) for tipping where relevant. Some cash-only places also didn't love making change for €50 bills.
*Bring insect repellant (or a pot of tiger balm!) if you don't like bees.
*Bring a mini USB fan! Esp in July!
FTLO Croatia July 2026
I just got back from the FTLO Croatia trip and had an amazing time. Our guide Ilija was great and I hope he is able to continue to lead this trip in the future.
Great way to enjoy Sardinia
I had such a great time at my trip in Sardinia with FTLO! The pace and vibe of the trip was exactly what I needed. Piera was a great group leader. She is very sweet, supportive and available to help us get the most of the trip. This was my first trip at FTLO and I loved it. Will definitely join other excursions.
FTLO Trip to Croatia
I had a great time on my FTLO trip to Croatia! Our group size was perfect (11 travelers total, 4 men, 7 women) and Ilia and Hrvoje (our co-trip leaders) did an excellent job of communicating clearly and with the right frequency. The daily itineraries were varied and helped us see interesting and cool parts of Croatia. My feedback would be to provide a more streamlined list of recommendations for packing (ex: a rain jacket was not necessary for the waterfalls in kryka park nor was it necessary to bring bug spray for any part of the trip) and more tailored suggestions on the best places to shop for clothes and souvenirs (in this trip I think the best place was Split but because that was our first stop many of us waited until Hvar and Dubrovnik and felt that the selections in these latter two cities were worse than those in the first). Additionally, more guidance on when/when not to tip would have been helpful. Alternatively, FTLO should consider just folding the tips into the price of the trip or not recommending tipping in the first place. Folks on our trip had a lot of conversations about when and how to tip appropriately and it took away from some elements of the experience. Moreover, it was unclear how much/whether to tip each of our co-trip leaders or just one. I would also recommend keeping in mind that most bars, clubs, and stores are closed on Sundays when building itineraries and recommending going out to experience nightlife on nights when things are open/flagging that we may want an early night in on nights when they are not. Lastly, I would recommend communicating more clearly with vendors and travelers about restroom access. We traveled on a boat for many hours, which lacked a functioning restroom, and on a bus for about 4 hours, which also lacked a restroom. Despite the constructive areas for growth, I had a great time on the trip and would recommend it to other solo travelers!
