I had my 1st delivery of Frive last…

I had my 1st delivery of Frive last week. From the moment the box was opened has been a game changer. I had tried two different providers previously and was disappointed with quality and quantity of food. Frive excelled on all points. Fresh, flavourful and great quality. Balanced meals that are a joy to eat. Highly recommend and I’m already looking forward to next week’s delivery.

Great for low energy + and the disabled

My mum and I are disabled and don’t have the energy for cooking, and before Frive we mainly relied on cans of soup. Now we can enjoy meals and get proper nutrients! It’s priced fairly as you’d spent about that much on ingredients to make it anyway, and in our house we tend to forget (brain fog) and they go out of date which is a waste of money. After getting Frive meals we don’t have to worry about that anymore and can look forward to eating instead of seeing it as another exhausting chore!

I think this is a really well set up…

I think this is a really well set up company they have clever marketing that encourages you to sign up and keep your subscription going even when you want to cancel it! But I wouldn't do that if it weren't for the fact that they didn't have really delicious tasty and well balanced meals that is a fantastic essential product. If money was no object I would never think of pausing or cancelling apart from when I am away. Do recommend!

Repeated missed deliveries. Refunds don’t solve the real problem

I’ve been a Frive customer for over 3 years, and while I like the concept and convenience, the delivery experience has been consistently unreliable.

I’ve had multiple occasions where my meals were simply not delivered at all (often involving DPD), with no proper explanation. Each time, the only resolution offered is a refund. While that covers the cost of the meals, it completely ignores the actual impact.

The whole reason I use a meal delivery service is to save time and avoid planning. When deliveries fail:
- I have to scramble to find alternative food last minute
- My weekly planning gets disrupted
- I lose time and incur additional costs

A refund doesn’t compensate for any of that.

What’s most frustrating is that this has happened multiple times over the years, yet nothing seems to improve. It feels like a recurring operational issue rather than a one-off mistake.

Frive has a great product idea, but reliability is a core part of the service — and right now, it’s not where it needs to be.

I hope this is taken seriously and addressed properly, especially for long-term customers.

Quite disappointed with my experience…

Quite disappointed with my experience if totally honest.

I had high hopes for this and thought it would be a massive help to me in regards to saving time, having variety etc but unfortunately the meals are not very nice at all. Bland and mushy is the best way to describe them.

The “fire cracker” chicken thighs was one of the most boring meals I’ve had before, no taste at all and the Thai style noodles were totally inedible.. my mother tried them too and confirmed they are indeed horrid.. both in flavour and texture (noodles were like mush)

To then make things worse they sent another box without me saying so and before I could cancel; charging an extra £17 and the meals were even worse this time.

3 of them contain fish which I don’t eat which is a shame as they look like the only ones with a bit of decent flavouring…

The driver decided to leave both boxes full of food on my front door step on a warm day with the sun beating on it.. it then sat there for 45 mins or so until I returned. On my account it is clearly stated to either leave the meals with a neighbour or on my back door step and no sunlight gets there and passers by would not be able to see.

When charging the price which they are, they should really do better

In terms of the additional charge, our service runs as a rolling subscription, meaning orders are processed automatically unless changes are made before the weekly cut-off. This is designed to give flexibility and ensure continuity, but we completely understand how this can be frustrating if it’s not expected. We’d really like to look into this further with you and make sure everything was clear on your account.

We’re also very sorry to hear about your delivery experience. Your delivery instructions should always be followed. We’d like to raise this directly with the courier to prevent it happening again.

Thanks Yanna!

I came back to Frive after a few years - initially left due to packaging and delivery. Packaging has changed but delivery with DPD is still an issue. My first box was not put in a safe place and went missing and Frive Whatsap chatbot was an absolute nightmare HOWEVER Yanna really turned this around and this coupled with the serious upgrade Frive has made (more protein, better packaging, really tasty meal) - a I am loving it. Frive is there to stay with me for at least 2026! Thanks Yanna for being excellent, speedy response and assurance!
