Very friendly and were quick to communicate in order to secure business. But the cleaning was UTTERLY ineffectual. No chance of a refund and were very reluctant to reclean - said 'it's not going to work'. Not good. Expensive. And not happy.

Do not use this company. Be warned they will visit your house and short out the electricity and not take any responsibility for the issues they caused. They did a terrible job. They’re also very aggressive and threatening on the phone. Do not use them I will be reporting them to the ACCC. If I could give zero I would.

I called and spoke to a lady and she said they were a small family company in Jordan Springs( Penrith).
I thought I would go local and support a small business.
Man from Marks maintainence service... a different company turned up and did not put in any effort at all. It was like trying to get a 13 year old to do house work! He kept saying he would use an Enzyme spray but will cost Extra. No I said just stick to the quote.
He did a terrible job! I took before and after photos.
I have tried complaining to company but not getting anywhere.
Please don't believe the good reviews as in my opinion they were written by the company.

Got given a quote over the phone of $130-$140 to clean my lounge. The cleaner turned up and looked at the couch and said that will be $160. I addressed the price straight away and said to go ahead with the job. After the job was done the cleaner asked for payment. I asked him to send me through an invoice and I will make payment. He told me he can’t give me an invoice unless I pay him first. I said I will be paying the amount but I need an invoice as we require it for the business. He kept disagreeing with me. I told him to call his manager. His manager then called me and told me the same thing the cleaner did, that I won’t get an invoice unless I pay for the service. I told him that’s not right. He then told me I had two options. I either pay the amount now or he will get the cleaner to go and spill all the water from the cleaning machine all over my lounge. I was disgusted in his response. No manager should be speaking to a customer like this. My husband then called him to sort it out and the manager said the same thing to my husband except he left it in a voicemail so we have proof of this threat. The cleaner continued to sit at my house for 20 minutes waiting in his car. He then drove off and sat outside my property for 30 minutes. I was freaked out about what their intentions were next. The manager has been calling my husband all day and threatening him with court and that he is going to get a lot more out of us now then $160. I run a business from home and we always pay our bills at the end of the day if due.

I had booked for upholstery for my coach and bed. Yes, Fresh Upholstery turned up on time but the person who turned up arrived in their own personal damaged vehicle, with no work ID or work uniform to reflect the name of the business Fresh Upholstery. The person wanted to show me his driver's licence but I advised I wanted to see identification that reflected he worked for Fresh Upholstery Cleaning. He advised not able to provide any work related identification. Iasked the person to show me the equipment they used and it was basic machine and some buckets - very unprofessional. I cancelled the job and asked them to leave. I was contacted by Fresh Upholstering asking why I cancelled and advised that it was unprofessional to me. He stated they have been in business for 5-7 business, I advised if that was case, why no business ID or uniform or work vehicle if so successful. In addition, as I was trying to explain the police advise not to let anyone in the door without ID, but this person from head office kept talking over the top of me. In the end I advised the best approach is not to argue or talk over the top of a customer.

I never expected this type of business to be functioning in Hobart but here we are - 'dodgy brothers'.

I was charged over $600 for a couch and armchair and was not given a full quote beforehand. I may as well have bought a new couch! I would not recommend anyone using this service.

I had my carpets cleaned by "Mark Maintenance Services". Other reviews for this business say that they are the same or they are run by them. I actually booked through Sparkling Cleaning Services and ended up with Mark Maintenance Services, so they all operate under different names and subcontract. My experience with Mark Maintenance Services was abysmal and anyone connected should stay away. Therefore I feel my review and experience is valid here.

I got my carpets cleaned today 10/3/20 through Sparkling Cleaning Services. I live in WA. SK Cleaning Services is what it says on my bank statement. And searches regarding both names bring up the same problems in reviews. Appears to be the same company but with different names in different places, also utilizing sub-contractors and using misleading quoting.

The job was fine, the reason they get 2 stars, however be prepared that the quote they give you on the phone is an “estimate,” even if they don’t say so. Because of that when you invoice is more than you expect it is because extra care was taken because of the condition of the carpets, or that they add the gst after the fact. None of this is the fault of the person that did the work but the business itself how have it organised this way. As a customer you feel swindled. The gay should be included in any quote. And if extra care is to be needed then that should be stated before work is done or before that extra care is taken. They also apparently didn’t include the rug I asked for in the initial quote on the phone. If using them or “marks maintenance services” (which is what the invoice actually says) then get your quotes upfront and stick to them. You can’t just add gst after quoting. Stick to your guns and they’ll charge what you were quoted. But very shoddy. Shan’t use again.

Absolutely shocking company. They couldn’t even remove a permanent marker stain and also made it worse as the pen stain ran so instead of having two dots, I now have 2 dots with run lines. I am so angry. Also got quoted $27 per seat so was expecting to pay roughly $150 but was charged $320.
I have 2 stains which apparently couldn’t be removed - note they weren’t bad stains to begin with. Hoping they can give a refund or come back to remove the stains which apparently “can’t be removed”. What is the point in a couch clean when they can’t even remove stains! The man doing it seemed like he didn’t even try. Not sure whAt is actually clean about the couch. Do not go with this company.

Avoid!
A simple lounge cleaning booking.
They were initially 45 minutes late, with no phone call at all.
I made 3 calls to Mark G (and random associates) who couldn't tell me when the cleaner might turn up and promised to ring back.
A whole afternoon wasted.
But it looks like I dodged a bullet!

Initially, they said $30 per seat. The cleaner after arriving he said the longer seat will be calculated as 2. After arriving, he said these stains won't go unless treatment is done. He charged $25 per seat, for chemical treatment and another $35 for odour treatment.

At the end, he said all the prices doesn't include GST and added another 10% for the GST.

With that treatment, nothing got cleaned and he didn't do the job properly as well.

When i called the number 0420230164, they asked me to send the photos. I sent the photos to them and they resent the cleaner.

In the office, they will say one time , but the cleaner turns up completely at different time.

The cleaner had the worst attitude, he came and said he can't do it. When i called the office , even they said they can't do it again as they "don't guarantee"

They say , they will get back but they never got back. I had to keep calling them to get things done.

I was charged $352 in total and had only 3 sofas cleaned.

Recently I googled for a couch cleaning service and found a service with the mobile number 0420230164. I rang the number and was quoted $180 to clean a six seater couch. They came today to our house in Manly and we added a little extra work to the job: one spot on another couch and two small rugs. Our credit card was then charged $581 for the work which took just over 1 hour to complete. This service is A RIP OFF! Do not use them! When we challenged them on the charge they told us to take them to QCAT!

Requested a quote online yesterday evening - I stated our couch was suede fabric 6 seater couch in the request. Someone phone almost straight away - swift service! They quoted what I thought was $20 per seat, I was happy to book them in for the following morning. To confirm at the end of the phone call they insisted they had said it was $30 per seat - this person had a very strong accent, not a problem, however I am certain that’s not what they said at the beginning of the phone call. They said someone would come at 10am. I received a text message the following morning at 9.30am saying someone would arrive 10-10.30am. Someone finally arrived at nearly 11am (almost an hour later than agreed the following day), no apology offered for arriving late. When they looked at the couch they stated because of the fabric (suede) the couch would require a ‘special treatment’ to get the stains out which would cost an extra $15 per seat (a total of $45 per seat!), I chose not to have the ‘special treatment’. Only cleaning of the seat and arms and lower panel of the couch included in the clean. If I wanted any other parts of the couch cleaned it would cost an extra $10 or more per area. I chose to have 3 back cushions cleaned for an extra $10 each. The man said it would take 30 minutes to complete the task. 15 minutes later he was finished, this time included setting up the machine and filling it with water at. I would estimate he took 5 minutes to actually ‘clean’ the couch. The marks he said that would not come out without the special treatment did come out. Upon inspection I thought he had actually cleaned the rug too, but it was just wet from spilt water from the machine - water also spilt on my wooden floors. I paid cash $210 but he said it would have cost significantly more if I paid with card. So for $210 I have a half cleaned couch. More than disappointed with this service. Will be reporting to ACCC

Reading the reviews I wish I would have read them before . Everything that has been mentioned in the previous reviews happened to me . The guy that cleaned my sofa was unprofessional and made me and my mum feel uncomfortable with comments that he was making during his time in my home , I have reported this to the company and been told they will call me back and they never do . I have reported to the accc . This company needs to be caught ! They are scammers !!! I was lied to by this company . I will take this further , seems like a lot of people have been scammed by them .

Examining the reviews it seems there is one operation masquerading as several company names. The prices, the problems and the attitude are striking familiar to my recent experience. Trustpilot should perform some data analysis on the reviews it gets to identify fraudulent operations.

Got them to clean my lounge told me one price over the phone then it was +++, ended up costing me $593 and they have left a huge mark now on my lounge!! I have called and called no-one cares, don't use them!!!

Got them do our sofas and couch - worst decision and such a waste of money. Charged more than what they quoted via email. Worst come worst, when I complained, the owner started verbally abusing and yelling over the phone. Stay away if you can. Cleaning service was so poor that almost no difference in before and after clean.

Awesome Service. These guys are really providing high-quality service to their clients. The upholstery cleaning experts came to my place and cleaned my armchair and couch beautifully. They even gave me some good tips to maintain my upholstery. I found them very helpful. Thank you

Turned up 1.5 hours late. Tried to increase the price on arrival. We paid cash and didn't receive the $10 change we were owed. Couch and bed look worse now than they did before the clean. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

Stay away from this company. Got the worse upholstery cleaning ever. Didn't vacum rug first and when washed he just distributed the cat hair even further, so the rug looks worse now than before he started. Loung suites were left soaking wet (they don't have a machine to dry them) so when the contractor finished cleaning, I couldn't tell if the stains were gone, which of course they are not. I also noticed he wasn't using cleaning products of a high calibre that you would normally use when cleaning lounge suites. All he had was Orange Power and as far as I could see, that's what he used to clean my expensive lounge suites. He left dirty water all over the place and it took me 20 mins to clean his mess after he left. He even soaked the power point he was using and didn't have the intelligence to dry it off. He emptied the machine both down my laundry sink and toilet and ruined my white tiles with dirty black water. And again he left me to clean it up. The worst was when he left and he put me through to someone on the phone to pay by credit card. He said "will you take a $280 payment off this lady" and all he asked me for was the card number and expiry date. I asked "do you not need the name on the account" and he said No. So obviously these guys are running a very dodgy business. I have asked for a refund 4 times now and no one will get back to me. I have placed a complaint with ACCC as I cannot believe with the amount of negative reviews this company has, that they are still operating a business. I have also opened up a case with my bank as I paid by credit card they can put a hold on the payment if their is a grievance. They are only $20 cheaper than most other upholstery cleaners so not worth even thinking about using them as they cause more damage in the long run. I'm now left with a green lounge suite faded in patches, still all stained, and long water trickle marks all over the bottom of the foot rests. Do Not Use These Cowboys!!!!
