I recruited a Cad operator by paying…£300 plus project fee plus admin fee
I recruited a Cad operator by paying admin fee via my Sons Paypal as I was unsure they kept charging him admin fee monthly when none was due however since it was a small sum we let it go. the Cad person was employed for £300 and process fee of £9plus project fee. Cad operator completed his task and when it came to releasing his milestone payment they held back claiming they need my verification which i did then subsequently they need payment verification by using my company's credit card but not stating the amount as I thought even £1 could be sufficient. it seems not even £10 is sufficient for it. in any case with a lot of message writing and getting replies back i managed to press milestone release. payment was made to the person. however after a month it turns freelancer took back the cad operators amount out of his account. for 2 weeks we are writing back and forth and the biggest issue is they dont seem to understand or refuse to clarify why they took the money back and how much I need to pay to verify my card and if I can get my refund. it is clear i would not use this site again and at the same i feel this is a legal scamming site. clearly no one should go on it.

Scammers on the site and lot of weird charges on my card from freelancers. trash site dont use it.
Lack of regulations, scammers get away with not completing tasks
They leave a little room for cooperation and the reviews aren't genuine.
I ordered a data analysis from a 5 start freelancer Sajed A.@sajedali784 and not only he was asking me to release milestone payments before the final results being provided, but he rushed me a lot with giving him a 5 star feedback, in a really pushy manner. A few days later when I finally had a feedback from my supervisor, it has turned out that the analysis is all wrong. Obviously Sajed has never bothered to reply even if he was reassuring me that he'll work after the final payment is released. This platform needs more regulations. Waste of time, effort and money, and unnecessary stress.

They closed my account for violation of terms and conditions. I was not given any clarification about what terms and conditions I violated. I just did a contest job with a pretty good reward. I also got paid for my previous jobs, which I had in the account. I tried to contact them and I was given unconvincing answers and apologies. I am really frustrated and disappointed I am in the service.
They are thieves
Watch out!
So Freelancer offers a free service for a short time. They then take a "deposit" before the end of the free period. So before you can cancel if you're not happy, they've got your money. Won't touch Freelancer ever again.
They are actually scammers
They are actually scammers. I've been an active freelancer developer at freelancer.com for about a year. But after my profile reaches the step of the employer was knowing me, they close my account without any reason. I have had a positive balance in my account and also active projects. They didn't let me withdraw my remaining money.
Their support team didn't help me. Even they don't tell me the reason for my account closure.
I think they are just trying to keep their employers satisfied. And they really don't care about freelancers.

Waste of time, possibly a scam site
If this isn't a scam site, it's pretty good at coming across as one.
I've had no luck whatsoever with it. Lots of scammy looking posts on it and weird messages from people asking me to do inappropriate things.
