Service not provided, refund requests ignored

Service not provided. Text but no calls. Tech was worthless and each time told me to restart my phone.
Tech and customer service kept cycling the same suggestion, waiting 2 days, then replying the same "please list your account info" email. After demanding my money the 5th time, customer service began ignoring my messages now for 2 weeks.

Freedom Pop is cost efficient

Freedom Pop is a cost efficient, easy to use wireless provider. I've had no issues with connectivity, phone calls or messaging unlike other wireless carriers that I have used.

The ideal service

The service is ideal for someone like myself that rarely uses the cell and doesn't want a huge plan.

Not a scam, But Make sure you read the fine print TWICE!

Another service with poor disclosures and even worse customer support.

If you make sure to read every single letter on every singe page, you'll have a general idea of what you're getting.

But some information is only explained in more detail after you sign up, as it can be exhausting to have to scour every page for info.

The one time I clicked a checkbox for a option without reading the "More info" url, I was instantly charged for adding a service!

No mention of the pricing on the whole page, no pop-up conformation prompt, just an instant charge to my paypal account, so I turned it off within seconds, and contacted support and they refused to fund it, as I had already "used the service" even if I gained no benefits from it in the seconds it was active.

In short, I've used tons of paid services, and almost always read every 'learn more' link I'm presented with.

But this is the first one that I feel I had to walk on egg shells by just using.

Worst company for service

This is one of the worst service companies I have ever met, I purchased a phone card from them which didn't work at all for 2 months, I contacted them several times and they kept telling me to wait but never solved my problem, their terrible service seriously affected my work life!

Is it so difficult for you guys to send an esim QR code? I have contacted you so many times, I can't even remember, you can't even send me the QR code of this phone number, I don't need to tell you how garbage your service is. You still have the nerve to cheat me again and again, keep lying that it's a power outage, may I ask if the inability to send the eSIM QR code is also caused by the power outage? Is the lack of service and signal on my phone number also due to power outage?

Shocking

Absolutely infuriating trying to deal with this company. Every single postcode you put in to get information on where they are available doesn't work. I tried putting my mum's postcode in I tried putting my postcode in two of my friends postcode in completely different areas and none of them work. I also tried putting the men with and without spaces capital letters and non capital letters just gave up in the end. Contacting customer services is pointless because they would just tell you it to working fine and blame the customer. Totally gave up.

FINANCIAL RAPE AND THE COMPANY ENJOYS IT!

Signed up, got the SIM card, installed it and it worked. The price was 18.xx.
The next day I went online. My next bill was going to be 30.00+ dollars!!!!!!!!!! I WAS TRYING THE 18.XX A MONTH PLAN!!!!!!!.
I called text support. The agent was treating price gouging as a normal, common practice routine. I immediately cancelled the service.

FREEDOM-POP - THEY WILL RAPE YOU FINANCIALLY AND ENJOY EVERY MINUTE OF IT.....

SCAM

SCAM!

I purchased a pay as you go $10 option on a SIM card to use whilst going to a weekend festival in the States. A month later I received a charge on my bank account for $32.47 and no explanation. I contacted Freedompop via email asked for the charges to be reversed as I had not made any further purchases with Freedompop. They ignored my email and tried charging me again two months later for $32.36.

I contacted an agent on the website chat and asked them why I was being charged. Apparently the agent at the desk where I bought the SIM card set up an account under my name and a monthly plan which I had never and would never agree to given I don't live in the states. He took my number from my card on the payment info and entered it into an account!!! When I went to dispute this Freedom pop sent me copy and paste messages on their chat saying they can't reimburse me. I also argued for a half an hour with the live agent to terminate the plan and account. He kept ignoring my requests until I told him that I would be going to the police. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE IT IS AN ABSOLUTE SCAM.

I had to change my bank cards and spend hours on the phone reporting and disputing this to my bank.

I would give them a negative star…

I would give them a negative star rating if I could. Every time my plan gets renewed I have to go through a week of providing information that they should have on record. Do yourself a favor and stay away from these crappy people!

I learned after losing ALL of my…

I learned after losing ALL of my minutes that you need to not only have your cellular off but you need to turn airplane mode on to save your minutes. I contacted them and they basically told me that they could care less if my customers were not able to get ahold of me and that I would have to pay more and refused to reset my month which I paid for already (I paid for a 3 month plan). They are so petty they couldnt even give me 1 minute for people to contact me on voicemail so I could call my customers back on another phone. My service is techincally off at this point because no one can even leave a voicemail even though I paid for a 3 month plan. This is such a scam. I would never use them again. Horrible customer service.

Never had any issues with the service

Never had any issues with the service. Worked where it's supposed to but with their new premium service and the old service impossible to get without an ancient SIM card their unlimited plans do NOT work unlimited unless you want to wait for an hour for a single Google search to show results or Facebook to load. WAY below the 2g speed they claim after your limit. Good and fair prices though. Also no 5g if that is a concern to you.

This company is a FRAUD!!

This company is a FRAUD!!! I signed for an account, got the SIM, and was totally dissatisfied with the service in 2018. I cancelled the service that same year, have an email from the company showing it cancelled and promising no further charges. Well, here it is 2022 and they are charging me again. When I chatted with their rep (Camilo G) I was told that the legacy plan users were automatically upgraded to a new plan in 2021 but could "opt out". I received no notifications in 2021. Since I didn't opt out, I was charged a non-refundable fee for the service. No notification and their system doesn't recognize my email as being a customer? This is out and out FRAUD!

Terrible, unprofessional, treatment of disabled/non disabled customers

I haven't even been able to become a customer and got mistreated via chat, several times, by several, argumentative, disrespectful, unprofessional chat agents. They refused to give me corporate headquarters (not that corporate headquarters is any better), I had to find it myself, yet, when I called corporate headquarters, the representatives were rude, refused to transfer me to the executive offices, claimed they didn't have an escalation department, and stated that no managers/supervisors are available and or don't engage in speaking with customers. I stated I wanted to file a complaint as my disability and possible future customer rights were violated, the customer care agent wanted me to tell them after repeated requests were denied to speak with a CEO (whom they claimed they didn't know) and I was hung up on over 3 times(yes, I have screenshots of the chats, calls being disconnected, and prolonged phone calls with no assistance whatsoever). This company is unprofessional, rude, disrespectful towards customers/potential customers/disabled individuals ect. I do not recommend. I still haven't received a response from corporate/manager/supervisor, who all seem to avoid these types of situations, and a refund was refused. If any calls were made, no voicemail was left, no emails have been responded to, nothing. As previously stated, I have verification of all the above allegations with supporting documentation.
