Great value project for building forms, lots of great ideas and features are included. Not a production ready out of the box, the documentation is limited/dated, there is no response from team for years and the only way to troubleshoot is to look into the code which is quite messy and with steep curve to get into. It is still (one of) the best form builder open source for prototyping or learning, if you need something of commercial quality, there are better paid form builders out there.

When using the Angular API and print functionality back in Fall 2020, Form.io was not equipped to handle the complexity of our nested forms and logic.

I think Formio is best tool for create forms. I just want to congratulate you for such excellent work.

Improve Security

You could improve the security of the plataform... for example today I can change my password without you ask me the previous pass.

It is a nice platform, but it still have some bugs.
It is prety hard to read the documentation and some of the functionalities are not documented

We like formio because it is freeware.
Field-logic and json-logic are useful features.

I've been using Formio for years as the main form component for SonicJS, an open source Node CMS. Its been great to work with and has a great feature set. Its easily saved me hundreds of hours of development work.

Good afternoon, We are very happy with the use of the platform. We have been working on it for almost a year, but we consider that there is a lot of documentation missing, especially for the Spanish community. There is a lack of a cheaper support channel for customers or end users, especially for those who are just starting out. We would like us to be able to collaborate in the design of new components and contribute them to the platform, such as the use of Master Detail forms, the integration of components with new libraries such as Tabulator or jqxGrid, among many other possibilities that the platform allows. Above all, we want the community to grow because we trust in the future of the platform. We are willing to collaborate and if you want to see our developments based on form.io, we can gladly share them in a meeting with you. We can offer support to your clients in Spanish. You can contact us. We can put a channel for the demos in order to share experiences with you.

I love your software. Especially the js libraries.

I was able to use the Form.io to build very complex health information system consultation forms

Platform makes development for clients much faster and easier.

Looks good on paper but horrible in execution. No workflow. No proper javascript templates. Convoluted forms which lacks basic flexibility. Along with the platform , need to hire fulltime react and javascript developers who also need to understand the mess of the platform. Poor man's version of powerautomate and extremely long sales process. Not good for enterprise customers .

Form.io is the best thing that has happened to us, a small research team building our own forms to collect research electronic data.
