Take the money and run

Horrible service, if you can even get them to talk to you.

The short version of a very long story starting in 2020 is that when they were doing crowdfunding, they would immediately refund anyone who criticized or questioned anything at all about their product or methods (which deleted or made those comments invisible).

Then, when I backed them on Indiegogo and noticed this and asked for a refund (because shady much to hide all but positive comments?), they told the website they had refunded me when they never had and never did. For months I sent them regular emails asking for my money back and they never replied to a single one. When I went to Indiegogo, they said they couldn't help me since they were told I'd already been issued a refund.

Fastforward to December 2023 when, for some reason, they emailed me out of the blue referencing the 2020 complaint and claiming that they had given Indiegogo permission to refund me so they wouldn't be getting in touch with me again (copy-pasting a message from Indiegogo showing that Indiegogo was under the impression that they had already refunded me). After, you know, they never replied to a single one of my emails and I didn't hear a peep out of them for years.

After some back and forth, they are now offering to mail me "the single pen you pledged for" (I pledged for 3), but are still refusing to acknowledge the base problem. Honestly, if they'd never emailed me again, I probably wouldn't have left this review, but this sudden round of very brusque and unapologetic emails from them, never acknowledging any kind of mistake or error or financial harm to me, is just adding insult to injury and convinces me that they didn't keep my money by mistake, they just don't care enough to bother returning it and never did.

I've backed dozens of crowdfunded products and services in my life (the foreverpen was ironically the first), and this is the worst experience I've ever had because it doesn't feel like small, inexperienced creators making lots of mistakes, it feels like someone who has figured out that there is pretty much zero accountability in a setup like this. It makes me wonder if ANY of the positive reviews I've seen online are authentic, especially when their Indiegogo page is half-full of people who never got the pens (and are told that records show they arrived) or people complaining about defects (who are told to please contact the creator via private message).

Not a trust worthy company!!

Not a trust worthy company!!
I had trouble ordering from their website and ended up with five orders. I tried to cancel four of them and by the time they made contact the packages had been delivered. I returned four of them and disputed the charges. At first they were happy to refund once they received them back but as soon as they found that I had disputed them they became aggresive in their emails. I was advised not to cancel the disputes and now they are fighting the dispute when they have their product back. They are trying to steal $320.00.

Terrible

Terrible. ordered several weeks ago and never received the items. Not sure how to go about getting a refund because there is no one to contact on their website.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience! Lots of promises and updates. So many backers have expressed their faith and support and are all let down without respons. No updates for two months now... They were supposed to finish shipping within a few week by then.
We backed this project in April 2021!!

Forever Pens--DO NOT ORDER!

Forever Pens: Where are the 3 Forever Pens I ordered from you (and paid for!) in June 2021 on Order #16346209 from Backerkit?

I still have yet to get them, yet you are selling them online to new customers.

Plus, you clearly have enough to provide to reviewers.

New customers, please be aware that this company has serious fulfillment problems with customers that supported them before they even had a product. Now they apparently do...but still have not met their obligations to their initial supporters.
