Definitely wouldn't recommend. After an issue regarding an order, I initially spoke to a friendly team-member but was quickly transferred to the manager, who seems to view his role as someone who asserts power and superiority. Before I spoke, his tone and words were both hostile and aggressive, and continued as such. It became apparent that the matter would not easily be resolved and despite me suggesting that we agree to differ, he continued to berate me. I returned the item which tbf, was refunded promptly.

Sent me a damaged product which was ordered as a Christmas present. It was very obviously damaged, so clearly no quality control or pre-delivery inspection. They have failed to reply to all emails sent. I complied with their returns process, which they don't make easy, and they failed to refund the postage costs or reply to subsequent emails. In future I'll stick to companies that genuinely care about quality of service and have some common decency and manners.
Update to Forelock and Load reply: I provided and still have photos of the damage and marks to the scope and a copy of the email trail which evidences that at no time did they reply to my email or refund the postage as per their own returns policy. Poor show indeed.

I ordered a pair of Ariat Windmere's that unfortunately weren't waterproof after only a months wear. I contacted Forelock & Load who advised me of the next steps and I received a new pair of boots within a few days.

Well stocked country store with a huge variety of brands. Very knowledgeable polite staff who assisted me with a query I had. You would be hard pushed to find the brands stocked at a better price. The other bonus is the huge car park on site. Will definitely be going back!

Great service, good people, and the black lab! We bought some quality country shirts which were at a sale price and some barbour wellies which were also at a good price too. The range of goods is quite comprehensive and covers most needs for shooters, riders, and dog owners. It's also convenient having plenty of parking and being just outside the mayhem of Bury.
I'll be going back before the New Year.

I was looking to buy a Barbour heavyweight jumper (I'm a big Barbour fan) and saw the ideal jumper (Tyne Crew Derby Tweed) in a local shop. Only had it in a large (I needed a medium) so went on line. Found the Forelock and Load website and they had the jumper in medium and £20 cheaper (£15 after p&p) I called them up to check stock (the phone was answered with a "hello" rather than "Forelock & Load, how can I help?" Just an observation) After confirming that I did have the right number and the item was in stock I ordered it on line and it arrived yesterday. Very pleased with jumper (knew I would be) and the supplier was swift in despatch, just need to brush up on phone technique!!!
