This company's marketing emails are…

This company's marketing emails are like the Publisher Clearance ads you used to see. Scroll, continue to scroll, scroll some more, then at the bottom of a VERY long email, the offer is there.

They misrepresent "free" - you have to buy one of their advisor programs to get the "free" pick.

One of their regular picks went down - I am sorry I bought it. I am sorry I bought a subscription.

I have told them I don't be renewing. I feel I wasted my time and money on this service??

Unescrupulous sales tactics, no timing, no warnings, you lose it all

Beware these guys, they don't give good advice, their sales strategy is quite unescrupulous and all they care about is your money and to pay their own payroll. They keep bombing you 2-3 times a week that if you pay them USD1299 to USD2599 a year for a premium subscription, they will give you the name of the one stock that is going to skyrocket 10 to 100 times higher, and they don't bother to look for the appropriate timing, they keep telling you "right now", "right away", all the time, or else you're going to miss out on the 10-100X ride, no matter that in that moment the whole market is undergoing a correction or even a depression and prices are going down, they always with no exception keep telling you "right away", "right now". They conveniently omit telling you that you should rarely if ever use leverage or margin trading in stocks, and much less in the small unknown companies they claim are going to climb 10-100X, which is by far the first thing they should ALWAYS explain to ALL newby customers, so many of their unsuspecting customers, unless they are extremely experienced which most of them aren't, bet it all on their recommendations and lose everything they have. In my personal case I lost over USD62k dollars because I followed their recommendations, and I even paid them a premium subscription of USD1299, just because they were so desperate to sell me the $1299 premium subscription that they recommended particular stocks precisely in the wrong moment when the entire market was going down, but they lied to the customers and insisted that nothing was happening, all they cared about was to sell you the premium subscription and pay their payroll. Another issue with this company is that they've been consistently downplaying safe assets such as gold that are performing much better and with less volatility in the long run than stocks, and which would be much more profitable to their customers, just because they make a living out of stock picking. I deeply regret having followed this guys and having lost $62,000 for doing so. Don't make my own mistake and stay away from this company.

Do not trust

Do not trust. There are several level of subscription. After you subscribed first level, they ask to upgrade to another level and so on. Worst, they don't provide useful information. I suspect that those stock they suggested paying them to do that. Anyways, I lost money with most of their suggestions. Those I earn money is very compared to the market.

Not willing to provide invoice.

Let’s be honest… a Motley Fool subscription isn’t exactly cheap! Luckily, some of us can deduct this expense through their company — provided that Motley Fool can issue a valid invoice. But let’s be clear: they don’t really seem too eager to do that! So be careful what you do.

It has been a frustrating experience with this platform, and it's disappointing that they never meet expectations. I ended up losing money and wish i had read the reviews before investing. I thought this would be as beneficial as Z𝘪nensis Investment, but i was completely wrong.

Been a member for years

Been a member for years - USA and now in the UK. Some good advice over the years ... but - with the UK in particular. Unspectacular....

Only 2 stars because I want to cancel my renewal ... there is NO clear and obvious was to cancel the renewal. In looking online MF says I should be able to cancel but the moment I cancel I lose access no matter how many days/weeks/months remain on my subscription .... that screams SCAM. UNETHICAL. LOW LIFE CHEATING SCUMBAGS ....

Don’t go there.

I was a member years ago they never gave me any useful advice. Fortunately I was able to cancel after a year. If you enjoy being bombarded with ads for expensive upgrades don’t go there. Seems nothing has changed judging by the comments on here.

Very disappointed, I'm in loss.

I have invested in 12 stocks recommended by them and I'm in overall loss. I won't renew membership with them. My own stock choices on the otherhand have delivered a 10% profit within the same time period. Very disappointed. What's more their scorecard is misleading as it doesn't reflect their current recommendations. For example Synopsis shows a 76% return from their recommendation in 2021, but they recommended a buy again on this stock recently which I took up and I'm now 23% loss on this investment. If they really want to be transparent about the performance of their recommendations they should reflect the performance against their latest recommendations not just their historic ones. Don't waste your time and money, I've had far more success using Marketwatch & Zacks to make investment decisions.

The support staff stopped replying because my complains were too much. I haven't had my returns and it's funny how more recent firms like '𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘶𝘯𝘦 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘪𝘰𝘯' are delivering great returns than them

Is this a scam?

When purchasing the basic package, you will be bombarded with additional emails to buy enhanced packages. I cancelled my subscription and recieved email acknowledgement. I was then charged my renewal fee a couple of weeks later. I emailed to complain and was ignored. I emailed again and almost immediately recieved a standard email response, but no apology nor explanation. Given how quickly the standard email was sent after my second complaint, it would appear to me that I wasn’t the first person to have this scam attempted on them. I have lost faith in their integrity entirely. But I guess, if their investment issue was that great, they focus their commercial efforts on that alone.

Don't bother. Trust yourself!

Constantly bombarded with emails trying to sell you more 'advice' packages. Foolishly took a long term Special Offer and seriously regret it. Impossible to contact when you have issues. Email responses inadequate. No phone number. Typical US internet business takes your money, makes out their fantastic and their not. Shares picked on my own judgement, and I am not an expert, +347% (ALL gained). Shares picked on MF advice -47% (ALL lost). Communities on Trading 212 far better for tips.

If I was only going to get 3rd rate advice and had to pay extra for top advise, I should have been told before I paid.

I subscribed to Motley Fool in good faith due to their well known name, even though I was doing well picking my own buys, using info from other sources. After I subscribed, they started sending me deals to get a higher levels of subscriptions. If there are at least 2 higher levels of subscriptions, what am I getting? I'm getting the left overs. I know investing is for the long term, but in this bullish market, their tips are falling, where mine are doing great. If I'm getting Bronze level service, I should have been told when I paid.

VERY DISAPPOINTED

VERY DISAPPOINTED. Signed up. What I mostly received was ads to pay more and upgrade everything. When I realized it was horrible, I said I wanted to cancel and get a refund prorated. OH NO, too bad way to late. AVOID... unless you want to upgrade all the time to actually get some kind of "information" and keep giving them your hard earned money. AVOID.

Poor investment advice

Motley Fools subscription service claims to offer expert advice and market beating returns with fancy graphs showing how great they are.
I used Motley fool for 3 years and in reality I have made a loss overall from their picks. In comparison I have made a significant amount from my own picks. To be clear I am a crap investor and don't have a good level of expertise. My honest advice is don't bother.

I have joined twice in past 5 years and considering joining again. Some investment advice has led to very poor results but some have been excellent such as Britvic, Rolls Royce and Bae. Rolls Royce returned over 500% . No issue about cancelling at end of my introductory year.

BE AWARE

I am very disappointed with this service ! All they seem interested in is selling subscriptions, then pushing you in to upgrading your existing subscription with additional fees. I just clicked on to one of their upgrade offers and they grabbed my money--WITHOUT MY CONSENT- I DID NOT AUTHORIZE THEM TO USE MY CREDIT CARD INFO. Two days, and no response. BE AWARE !
