I do not like the harsh comments that make no sense at all.

I do not like the harsh comments. I have already seen these headlines on these two stocks, Soundhound and BigBear."Can it go to zero." Does that make sense to you. It is almost like they are trying to move the market for short selling. Another thing is that they flip back and forth on a certain stock within a relatively short time period. They are not consistent.

Their investment journalists don't check their sources. He writes, "This time, CapitalWatch, a financial research company, accused AppLovin of fostering a Southeast Asian money laundering network." Who is Capital Watch? Jeremy Bowman didn't bother to check his references. Capital Watch isn't a real business. Their website is a single page written in Chinese. Their address belongs to another company CoreSite. A data center.

Wish I had read these negative reviews…

Wish I had read these negative reviews before joining (now in the process of cancelling). What an embarrassing organization. AFter I paid they never sent onboarding links that worked. I called several times (no answer, they did not call me back as they offer), and three emails begging for help with no response. In short, no one cares over there. Why would anyone support this business. Shameful!

Fools use Motley Fool.

I researched this investment company long ago. I actually invested in a couple of free pics they had a few years ago. It is a total scam. I have watched the stocks they choose on occasion. My feeling is that they work with companies to boost their stocks in the short term. Stay away from the stocks they suggest for free. Unless you have the ability to sell the same day.

My experience was with customer service. I put my name in the que and was called back within 15 minutes. My husband had ordered a subscription and did not realize that he did, (he has memory disorders) The request for a refund was handled caringly and with such speed, My credit card has already been credited. What could have been a horrible experience was easy and done with a smile.

The service wasn’t a good fit for me

The service wasn’t a good fit for me. Too many promotional emails and a lot of repeated content. Some recommendations may work for certain investors, but I didn’t find it worth the subscription cost, doesn’t meet my expectations for capital handling. It’s also a reminder of why I’m building CoastFIRE HQ with clearer execution and accountability in mind.

Don't waste your money.

I've thought about buying a Motley Fool membership for a while and finally bought early this year. The big shock was when I went to look up their AI recommendations, I was told you have to sign up for Epic service and pay more money. What a bunch of BS. It's like a bait and switch fraud. I should have been more diligent but who would expect that after I paid my membership fee, I would learn that for the good stuff there's an extra fee. Find another stock advisor.

Started off fine but then when I tried to cancel I clicked the button before the 30 day trial period and I thought it was all done. Several months later I check and it never canceled the trial. I contacted the company but the were worthless in helping. I don’t recommend ever going back!

INCOMPETENT Investment organization

Investment recommendation provided by Motley Fool all resulted in negative growth such as Photon Control Inc (PHO.TO), Mav Beauty supplies (MAV.V), Quarterhill (QTRH) just to give a few examples. A lot of time and money was wasted with this organization and they hold no accountability for the terrible advise and losses they contribute to. Motley Fool is a totally INCOMPETENT organization and is not in the business to make you money, but only themselves, and should be penalized for the financial mess they put their clients in. Please do not waste your time and money with these FOOLS, as you will only regret it.

Avoid

Motley Fool makes promises it can’t deliver fully unless more money is spent to upgrade. I just rejoined hoping for improvement on the sight, but unfortunately found none, and will be requesting a refund.

PREDATORY BILLING

I have had nothing but issues with their billing and cancellation policies, with them continuing the former to an obnoxious degree. I have canceled via phone with their billing department. I canceled online. I finally canceled my credit card because of Motley Fool's predatory billing practices. Now? You need to spend over 45 minutes on hold to speak with a rep. MF once had a stellar rating. It has plummeted.

Overall, a Very Poorly Run Service

Motley Fool has a terrible track record for the past 5 years. And their customer service is terrible. They're supposed to have fixed dates of when they're releasing new recommendations, but they change the dates and don't tell customers. I discourage everyone from subscribing to their newletters and services. Definitely not worth the money.

A Marketing Machine Disguised as Financial Advice

tl;dr: Avoid this service if you value transparency. The base subscription is a "paywall" for at least 7 different upgrades, the stock picks are as hit-or-miss as a random list of 100 companies, and they force auto-renewal with no way to turn it off manually. To cancel, you are forced to email them rather than clicking a button.

The "Upgrade" Rabbit Hole
I signed up for The Motley Fool thinking I was getting elite stock research. Instead, I spent a year being treated like a lead in a never-ending sales funnel. The amount of gatekeeping is staggering; I counted at least 7 different "upgrades" or additional tiers they constantly push you to buy.

By the time you’re done, you realize the base subscription is basically a teaser. The information is so thin it’s effectively: "Here are 100 big companies that might do well if things go right." Honestly, a random dart throw at the S&P 500 would be just as accurate, and it wouldn't cost you hundreds in subscription fees only to suffer financial losses on their "picks."

The Auto-Renewal Trap
I was counting down the days until my subscription finished, only to be hit with a charge for another full year. Here’s the kicker: there is no way to manually turn off auto-renewal in your account settings. They deliberately remove that control from the user so they can catch you off guard.

Cancellation is a "Dark Pattern"
To make matters worse, they don't even give you a simple "Cancel" button. They hide the cancellation process behind a requirement to email them. They make it effortless to take your money but require a manual, multi-step chore to stop the bleeding. Because I couldn't toggle the renewal off myself and didn't realize it was forced, I’m now stuck paying for a second year of a service I actively dislike, with no hope of a refund.

Final Verdict
Aggressive marketing, mediocre stock picks, and predatory billing practices. They are more interested in selling you the next "upgrade" than they are in your actual portfolio's success. Save your money and do your own research.

The site has not worked since I paid my subscription, I have requested my money back. Only to be told, you need to talk to our USA/AU site it’s not with us. Based on what I can see the site makes comparisons to show 5 year growth trends referenced back to what you could have got! Well any fool can do that! Stay clear and put your money elsewhere!
