Rubbish

In 4 years. Pretty much everything they have recommended has gone down in price. Meanwhile ones I chose myself have gone up. Wouldn't recommend anyone follow their advice

Not very good impression after 2 weeks of signing up.

After 2 weeks of signing up for a month trial of $99 a year membership, I’m very disappointed at the constant email solicitations to upgrade the membership to $1200 a year.
“Get our BRAND-NEW report, “Inflection Point 2025: Ten Top Stocks to Buy Now” at no extra charge when you use this Early Bird upgrade offer before tomorrow at midnight.”….

I spent more than 30min watching the Inflection point video, to the end it was an empty promise and lots of marketing, sale pitches of past performance, what could have been, would have been scenarios of picking the already winning stocks.

With the current level of spam emails, sale pressure, this service appears to be unprofessional and undesirable. I may have to cancel before the month end.

They constantly spam you to upgrade

They constantly spam you to upgrade, I mean constantly! There stock choices are horrible, they lose a lot, much worse than random choices. When you don’t renew your subscription, they sell your information and you get massively spammed by other companies. Stay away!!

This service is complete garbage

This service is complete garbage. The only good thing about MF is they will give the money back promptly during your trial, no need to contact the Attorney General.

"Stock Advisor" listed a few stocks with recommendations that were Months old, and delivered the stock "pick" of the Month...

The pick was a stock that's nearly $2000... They want people to buy 25 stocks and hold them for 5 Years...

The only reason this service exists is because Hundreds of Thousands of people paid for it and forgot they are paying for it. There is absolutely Zero value for this service unless you're a Multi Millionaire, in which case you already know what stocks to buy.

Not impressed

Four years ago I thought I would do some investing but due to my lack of experience I decided to look into Motley Fools. It has not worked out well. They are great marketers, but oversell and exaggerate their results. I followed their formula - at least 20 of their picks, held for at least three years and now I’m down 22% overall. Not a single pick of theirs is worth more than when I bought it. On the other hand the stocks I picked on my own are up over 30%. Granted they are boring picks (Apple, Amazon,Netflix, Uber, etc) but much better performers than Teledoc, Zoom, Fiver, W, BL, CPNG, and many others that were touted by
Motley Fools and promptly tanked. I learned my lesson and are going to sell their poor performers. Think twice about signing up with them.

Not Reliable/Bad Recommendations

Subscribed to the Motley Fool and took their advice on buying AMD. They claimed it was a STRONG buy. The AMD stock has been a huge loser - it tanked almost $40 per share since I took their advice! The Motley Fool was not too keen on the DJT stock but after conducting research on other sites, I bought it anyway. It shot up and tripled. I no longer rely on the advice provided on the Fool's website and have subscribed to Morningstar. WSJ market watch and one other. All have been more reliable sources for stock history and data to help determine if a stock is a good buy.

I received several emails to subscribe. They promised me I am free to unsubscribe for 30 days. But there is no way to get a refund, no instructions on the site to unsubscribe and get a refund. Is this a trap?

The Motley fool are spammers - avoid them!

Spammers - Avoid them like the plague!

I filled in a form to get a one off report on 14/11. I didn't subscribe to services. in any way. They didn't send the report they mentioned, but instead I have been bombarded with sales emails and various "last last last chance" offers.

By the time of writing this I have received 25 emails from them in 10 days.

Avoid them at all costs!

Don’t Be Fooled:

Don’t Be Fooled:
I strongly advise against subscribing to Motley Fool. Instead of providing actionable insights, they primarily sell easily accessible information.
Key Issues:
Lack of Timely Alerts: You won't receive any notifications about buy or sell recommendations. You're solely responsible for checking their library daily in your own.
Aggressive Sales Tactics: The company frequently sends urgent emails about expiring offers of their other services, rather than focusing on delivering value.
Misleading Rating: It's surprising that Motley Fool Advisors maintains a 3.6-star rating. In my opinion, it barely deserves a 1 or 2-star rating.
Consider Alternatives:
There are numerous reliable financial advisory services that offer timely alerts and actionable advice for a similar price. These services can significantly enhance your investment strategy.
Save Your Money and Time: Avoid falling victim to The Motley Fool. Invest wisely and choose a service that genuinely supports your financial goals.

I caught the falling knife, Bahh bahh

They used to give good advice, until the founder left. After that it immediately went down hill. They continuously try to upsell you, I fell for the crypto crap. They claimed to have the world's best crypto analysts' and a tested algorithm for selecting crypto.
Not only did their picks immediately tank, but I saw that they tanked right after they led us to slaughter. it's an old game, buy the stock then lead the sheep to pump up the price then get out, letting them catch the falling knife. I was a sheep.

I bought a subscription and checked the daily information for months. Not too bad as they always tout how successful they are getting 2,000 % returns on some stocks. I decided to listen to them on two of their stocks and lost 40% on 1 and 25% on the other while the S & P gained 12% in that same time frame. I will NEVER trust their or any stock analyst ever again. Do your own research. It’s not difficult. Since I have been doing my own trades I am up 29% so far this year.

Upsell upon upsell; they just want to bleed you dry

I went for a Motley Fool membership a little over half a year ago, only to find that they are a self-hyping upsell machine. They celebrate themselves on the five tips that they've gotten right over the last 10 years, require you to sit in "live" webinars, which is essentially just a sales pitch for reports that they will sell to you on top of your already relatively expensive annual membership. The tiering of their services is absolutely ridiculous. A "report" will cost you in the hundreds, AFTER you have already paid for an annual membership. Don't waste your money, both in your investments and in their "timeshare" style business model.

I signed up for The Motley Fool’s Stock…

I signed up for The Motley Fool’s Stock Advisor service in 2021 but stopped using it after that year. I was unaware that the subscription would automatically renew every year, as I didn’t notice the reminders they claim to have sent. Unfortunately, I only realized last week that they had been charging me annually without my knowledge.

When I requested refunds for the years I didn’t use the service, they refused to refund the charges from 2022 and 2023, citing their Terms and Conditions. I was disappointed by their lack of flexibility or understanding of the situation, especially since I hadn’t used the service after 2021.

If you’re considering signing up, be very cautious about their auto-renewal policy and keep an eye on your account statements. This experience has left me feeling frustrated, and I hope others avoid similar issues.
