Disappointing so far
Disappointing so far. Was hoping this would be a lower risk P2P option, being based in Finland etc. Defaults seem very high and no information is offered on recovery process. Downloading your loanbook to check is a hassle. Will slowly withdraw and look elsewhere.
I would not recommend this platform as …
I would not recommend this platform as Fixura charges both ways for depositing and withdrawing the money. Also, the recovery process in Finland, for investors, is extremly low and very uncertain, most borrowers knows about their right in case of default, out there. Therefore most of the loans invested in are in defaults. I can just look at it and sit on it. Fixura doesn't provide any update on recovery process, I wonder if Fixura does anything really...
I have invested 500 euros and I am glad I have not invested a damn extra penny more.
Find a different plateform... this one is no good.
Very non-transparent way of investing …
Very non-transparent way of investing your money. You can't actually choose the type of loans, quality or volume and they charge various fees, including a crazy 2% with every bank transfer you make from your bank account to to your Fixura account. They refused to return the service fees for a service that I didn't use - even the very next day that my account was activated and funded. So, I sent 1000 euros, they immediately deducted 20 euros and then kept another 4 euros for withrawing the remaining 976 Euros. Complete waste of time and money! I already filled an official complaint in EU's Online Dispute Resolution and would recommend you to do the same if you face a similar problem.
I've tried to invest on Fixura
I've tried to invest on Fixura, but I had some difficulties.
There are many similar platforms, but I wanted to try it since Finland seems a very reliable and hi-tech European country.
The Fixura customer service is very prompt, and they handle a good English.
The problems started after I transferred 2000€ from my bank account to Fixura to make a test investment. I immediately started to try to invest through "autoinvest" but nothing happened. I was told that due to the investment criteria I set It would have been a slow process to meet borrowers. My criteria was not too different from the one suggested by default by the Fixura itself.
I'm a trader and I'm already using Mintos, Bondora and many others, I'm not willing to wait to invest, this is weird, then I wanted to leave because I suspected low liquidity. So I asked to be refunded of the 2% commission they charge to invest, since I made NO investments. I did not use the service so why do I have to pay? Fixura is one of the few p2p platforms asking for investment fees. It's ok if the overall output is positive.
So I wrote to customer service but they told me I have to pay anyway, for nothing , even if I only want my money back.
That's bad for me, I've lost money so far and I cannot recommend this service at all.
I guess it is a bad notice for prospect investors to acknowledge that Fixura is charging customers even if they do not use the service, but only transfer funds.
The message is that this is like tax.
We run away from banks and we move to fintech and p2p right because we want to get rid of this specific behaviors.
2019 update: many loans are late. The default rate seems to have little to do with Fixura ratings.
