My car has been damaged under their care. They have refused to let me take the courtesy car to pick up my children from school. So they won't release my old car nor the loaner. I am currently with a 19-month-old baby.
Avoid at all cost. They have every excuse under the sun why you should accept the damage done under their care.

I would like to deal with the facts on this review rather that what has been written in the review.
When we were initially instructed to collect your car, it was for rear bumper damage only, this is the only damage that had been reported to the insurer.
Our driver called you to arrange a time for collection and was advised by you that there were several other contestable areas of damage to your car that you wanted to add to the claim These were damage to the front bumper / Driver’s door mirror damaged / Handbrake Button broken / SOS Cover damaged / Tyre Warning light on / Chip in windscreen , all different areas of the vehicle to your original claim .
Our driver informed you that under these circumstances it would be better not to collect your car (which was still driveable) and to carry out an estimate first to enable the insurer to decide wether or not to deal with these extra items under the same claim and avoid any unnecessary delay in the time your car would need to be on site with us.
You then advised us that you had changed your mind and would now only be claiming for the rear bumper, which was the original claim, and that you would not be claiming for the additional items you had mentioned. You asked if we would collect the car for this damage only (these phone calls are recorded).
Once your car was collected by us and you were in possession of our courtesy car, we received an email from your insurer adding the items you had told us you would not be claiming for.
As previously mentioned, this held up the claim (for 6 days) while the Insurer decided whether the extra damage would be included along with the rear bumper. The insurer eventually refused to cover these extra items under your claim.
The door mirror which you claim we damaged whilst your car was on site formed part of the added claim. The mirror glass you had fitted to the damaged mirror was incorrectly shaped and stuck on with double sided tape, the correct part would be clipped into place. The tape had insufficient area to stick to and so it fell out, unfortunately this happened whilst on site with us. Had the replacement mirror glass been fitted correctly this would not have happened.
You then refused to return the keys for the courtesy car even though you were aware that the mirror had been previously damaged and incorrectly repaired by you. We did offer to replace the mirror as good will and send it to you, however you refused to take your car as the mirror that had fallen out had a small crack in it and you felt it was unsafe. I have retained this mirror and can state that it was usable and you would be able to see oncoming vehicles. We agreed to drive to a local supplier to try and get a replacement mirror, they advised us they had one in stock. Unfortunately, this did not fit. Under duress and to avoid further conflict we let you leave in the courtesy car.
Had your vehicle been fitted with a correct replacement mirror and no attempted claim been made by you for unrelated additional items of damage then none of this would have happened.
We have now fitted the correct mirror at our expense to avoid any further delays in the return of our car. I would add we have done this under duress and do not believe we were liable
Have we actually been fleeced?
I would like to join the other 1 star reviews for Fix Auto Sidcup due to their actions around courtesy cars and the length of time for repairs. We are also insured by Admiral and so required to use this company. We have raised a complaint with Admiral about it and hope that others will too. Our car was with them for a very long time - 12th Sept to 2nd October (they'd come to collect the car the week before but said they couldn't take it due to missing wheel nut and so already had the parts in). We were told on return of the courtesy car that there was damage to two hubcaps - some scratches were pointed out. We had been very careful with hubcaps and had not parked anywhere that could have caused the damage. But it is your word against theirs, and they demand payment - we were charged an £180 on the spot. I would advise anyone to avoid taking a courtesy car, but if you do need one, take careful photographs of every part of the car before driving off with it. We are genuinely wondering if these guys are sharks. Even if they are not actually conning people, their policies are completely over the top and geared toward extracting extra cash. We had the car cleaned before returning (yet another one of their demands in T&C's - to clean inside and out) and it seems entirely possible the marks were revealed because the wheels were cleaned. We're not sure if they were clean when we collected it. Not something you think you'll need to know - but you do. If you do take a courtesy car - remember to photograph from all angles and especially hub caps. Please avoid using this repair shop and if Admiral direct you to use them, do consider questioning this or proposing an alternative.

With regards to the repair time – we do advise our customers that standard repair times are approximately 10 working days. We initially gave an estimated completion date of 26/09. Unfortunately, the repair time ran slightly over, and repairs were completed on 29/09. It is difficult to accurately predict repair times, and this is why we advise that any dates given are estimated and are subject to change.
Our courtesy vehicle was thoroughly checked by both you and our receptionist, and the hire car conditions signed by you to confirm this. Any existing damage was highlighted on the paperwork at this time. On return, two of the wheels on the driver’s side of the vehicle were heavily scratched., unfortunately these are lease vehicles and any damage caused to them is liable to incur charge as was advised at the time of booking and again, paperwork signed to this effect detailing all charges.

Avoid getting a courtesy car from this company
Insured with Admiral this is their approved insurer. Couldnt get a date to book my car in for months. Then they came to collect my car said they would keep it for 4 weeks plus as had not even ordered parts. I refused to release my vehicle. Had to rebook waited and another few months. Upon collection I was given a Toyota Aygo as a courtesy car which screached reaching 30mph. Was advised repairs could take up 2 weeks although damage was slight that is why I opted for a courtesy car. Having never had a courtesy car I checked it but perhaps not as thouroughly as I should have. My car came back with an additional scratch on it I was advised to to T cut it! Then they found 2 small dents on the courtesy car door and demanded I pay £500 on the spot, I refused. Now they are charging me £651.60 for the repairs it is an absolute joke. I could not have caused that damage as I know I have not parked anywhere where that damage would have been caused. I am livid. Wish I had never opted for the courtesy car. I feel i am being fleeced. If you can avoid using a courtesy car with this company please do so. In total this will cost me £1400. I should have gone to Audi directly and it probably would have been cheaper to repair. I have been advised that I have 7 days to either claim on my insurance again or pay them directly and they have my card details so will take money directly if i do not pay, which illegal S i have jot authorised this. I am not permitted to get the car repairedby anyone else. The communication re repairs is vague. The staff do answer phones and queries quickly with info they have on system, they are polite and friendly. Aside from this courtesy car issue the repair to my vehicle has been done well - apart from the scratch. This whole experience has left me stresed and annoyed.

Highly recommend Fix Auto Sidcup!
We had a hugely positive experience with Fix Auto Sidcup! Having had the car collected by them (super convenient) it was then returned looking like a brand new vehicle. Not only had they done a great job on the repairs, the level of cleanliness was astounding - even cleaning stains off the roof that we thought would never shift! They even replaced the little tie onto the petrol cap that we'd lost ages ago. Such attention to detail and really great customer service throughout. Thanks for such a great bit of work - definitely would recommend.
