Five Lakes Law Group for Financial Troubles
Five Lakes assisted not only me but one of my friends & she suggested them to me and they were able to basically, "come to the rescue". I am quite happy with how my resolution turned out. I highly recommend them. They work with you and help. Sometimes, you need to be a bit pushy but if you get your requests in on-time, they can work with you. Definitely an A in my book. Thank you.

I do not recommend debt consolidation
I do not recommend debt consolidation. I have been in the program since March 2025 and my credit score is dismal. It lowered 200 points. I have been paying $800 a month since October towards a $10K settlement and I am only halfway there. That's $8K paid and only $5K applied. I have not heard from Five Lakes since October when they made the settlement. The only good thing about them is they do answer/respond when you call.

Knowledgeable staff
Jeff has his process polished and smooth to where my own anxiety couldn’t help but be silent and play nice. He walked through the process basics. As he guided me through the steps, extra time was provided to help expand my understanding of how the steps connect, what to expect, why these actions help to progress me to a more stable financial position. Jeff also helped me ensure I had the correct app, updated contact information for the eventual creditor calls, and took a moment to ensure i turned off the auto payments. The staff are really well-informed. Between Jeff and Minerva, I was able to provide my spouse with a good summary understanding of what will be happening in the following months.
Megan Arellano was fantastic
Megan Arellano was fantastic. Debt Relief can be stressful, confusing and skeptical, yet Megan walked me through the process and frequently asked if I’m on the same page and answered any questions I had. She made me feel calmer and provided all the information in a manner that I could understand. I’m still nervous, but I feel much better knowing I’m being looked after and given honest and accurate information!

I would attribute it to her good training but we feel it’s just who she is as a person.
