I ordered kippers and potted shrimps from this company. The order arrived early on the due date and was extremely well packaged. I have now tried both products and the quality is excellent, I have never had better. I will certainly be returning for further fishy products.

Absolute incompetence and worse still unadulterated liars. I ordered goods using a discount code, they refunded claiming that the sale appear fraudulent which although understandable was absolute nonsense as the ensuing conversation unveiled. I called to quantify the proble and they claim the phone number I supplied was incorrect...1st lie (as I have a screenshot of order) they then used all sort of excuses about following a system they use that picks up on "potential" fraudulent orders...another lie a they couldn't even clarify what this system was or explain how it works. I clarified the details they have were correct and legitimate and proposed placing the order again over the phone, there and then, they claimed they would need to call me back but the issue appeared resolved. Call never came, so I reordered again as agreed but used a different card to ensure no repeat of problem and if there was a system that it wouldnt recognise card used initially and this time it was a corporate card, (used to order £1000's of goods on a weekly basis without any issue). Fish for Thought claimed similar problems again, they stated that our website does not have contact details for they to contact us, (another lie - how stupid a website used to promote a business with not contact details) and then concluded that because of what are obviously fictitious anomalies, that they are not going to honour order!!!!. I offered to send a copy of my passport, photo I.D. anything that legitimate companies would accept a forms of proof or recognition, but they said they were not prepared to accept this. The order was placed initially simply to take advantage of a discount code on offer, which meant that the goods were actually cheaper on this site than they are from manufacturer from home we normally purchase direct (12 x bottles of sparkling wine Camel Valley, who we really should notify about the incompetences here but why worry), so because the discount amounted to a WHOPPING £35 Fish for Thought(less) are simply reneging on this code/offer and using all sorts of excuses to not fulfil order with discount entitlement. Obviously a tin pot company with plastic officials. So unprofessional it's untrue and the proprietor to whom I spoke is obviously better suited to scavenging cockles from the shores than retail. For better service and better intellect use The Fish Society for all matters seafood.

Received our first meal (birthday) from Fish for Thought today. Arrived on time, really fresh, clear cooking instructions, continual communication on arrival times. We had a wonderful meal. A great alternative to high class restaurant meals.

Really excellent service! Beautiful fish from sustainable sources and a great range of accompaniments too. Everything arrived as arranged. Packaging all easily recycled. I had a query and received a really helpful response. Thank you

Absolutely beautiful fish regularly order but today ordered a chicken burger as well for partner and at £5.30 it was a total insult advertised as chicken fillet it was so tiny it didn’t even half fill the bun it came in and it was cold disappointed won’t be ordering again

I have received 2 orders now from Fish for Thought and I am very impressed, the goods were delivered on time and well packed. The white crab is beautiful, I have never tasted better. I have to mention their customer services, I had a small problem and they sorted it out immediately. I will definitely carry on buying from them.

Just received our first order. Dressed crab for lunch, its delicious. The only thing missing, was sitting by the sea with a freezing cold beer! Excellent quality, great recyclable packaging. Trying some more fish this evening. Top marks so far.

We ordered the crab souffle, brill in port and truffle butter and tiramisu special mothers day menu and it was outstanding . Very generous portions , the brill was delicious and there was plenty of fish left over for a second meal.

Absolutely fantastic - thank you so much. The oysters and plaice were delicious. Our first time buying from fish for thought but certainly won’t be our last. Brilliant service - delivering fresh fish from the coast we were also most impressed with the compostable packaging - forward thinking as well as excellent service. We cannot recommend enough. First time I’ve used Fish for Thought , i usually get all our fresh goods from our local market , on this occasion having read all the past reviews “ thought “ I would give Fish for Thought a try especially due to restricted travel conditions at the moment and boy was I happy with the service and amazing freshness of the produce

On Friday we received our box of Healthy Options from Fish for Thought - WOW - it was beautifully wrapped and packed and everything was beautifully labelled. Now for tasting - was can I say - simply perfection - the Fish and Chips were so tasty and The Gurnard meal was superb something that someone had specially prepared a restaurant meal in fact . The Red Mullet Soup was devine with a hot taste but not too hot. We only have the Seafood Linguine to try but I am sure that will be packed with flavour. The Chef who designed the meals should have a pat on the back for the tasty flavours he has created. Also can I add the prices are affordable within reason. These meals are going to be a regular treat in our household. I would definitely recommend trying them you will not be disappointed - a real treat in these strange times.

Most partners during lockdown would possibly send flowers to their beloved. Not mine. He knows me. He sent fresh drsssed crab so I could have a fresh crab sandwich for my lunch today and some left over for crab risotto when we are out of lockdown. Absolutely thrilled. Beautifully packaged and fresh. He is definitely a keeper. The most romantic thing anyone has ever done for me.

Lock down had curtailed our trips to restaurants..fish being a special treat . So what to do....well look for a supplier and my husband did so..no pressure..😕 well he did and he found Fish For Thought. To say its been great is an understatement and my fish cookery has improved no end. Everything gets delivered on time and the quality is great. Thanks for being available...
