That old chestnut

My girlfriend was talking to Joe at the door a couple of weeks ago and she asked for a quotation for a new build conservatory. We wanted a lightweight tiled roof as that seems to be a popular choice with people these days and it looks quite nice. (my opinion of course.) Joe informed my girlfriend that the lightweight conservatory roofs are far more expensive than the glass or skylight roof but because my girlfriend doesn’t know a lot about them she agreed to have a quotation from this company. We had one of their ripped in our house for 4.5 hours trying to get us to sign on the day. I don’t know what was worse. The amount of time he spent talking about his cats and how many he had all the price that was left I know price is always go up never down but their price was absolutely ridiculous. It would’ve been far cheaper to have had an extension done from a local builder then use this company since then we’ve been hassle both myself and my girlfriend with bombarding calls saying that the rep made a mistake. He needs evaluation and could do it at a different cost yes that old chestnut we have sent us to be removed from their system and left alone but unfortunately they don’t get the hint, perhaps this review will enlighten them to leave us alone.

Unacceptable call

Some months ago, my son was coming home from school, and some lad knocking doors ask my son if I or his father were in he asked him who they were and what they wanted and then explained they were not in and were at work until later that day he handed my son one of his leaflets put us for a contact number for either myself or his dad because my son had never dealt with this before and didn’t want to cause any problems as they begun to question him about work on our house to be done shortly after I received a telephone call from Jordan explaining my son had given consent to have my phone number whilst at work to start quizzing me about my own home I told him I was not interested and to please delete my number and not to follow up any further when I got home I had a conversation with my son who was very honest, trustworthy and well mannered and raised. He explained he didn’t know what to do and apologised as though it was his fault and felt intimidated by the person I have named already we went by and thought it was the end of it. I need to start receiving further calls from the office asking me if we were ready to have a quotation on home improvements this has gone on numerous times, I have blocked their number and asked multiple times to be removed from their system, but they continued to press.

Uncomfortable call

So I made an appointment on the door with the sales guy wanting a quote on some windows and possibly some French patio doors to go with it (this was before reading the shocking reviews which I should’ve done first!!) I was informed I would receive a confirmation call to confirm the booking that I had made on the door after speaking to one proclaimed to be Gary (not sure if that’s his real name definitely question that part!!!) I don’t think he hung up the phone after confirming everything originally with me as I could hear him talking to another woman (I don’t know if it’s his wife, girlfriend or someone else!!) but he began to speak to her in a sexual manner asking her to pull her panties to one side and play with herself before realising I was still connected to the call and felt rather uncomfortable with this and had to cancel the appointment later that day

Ring doorbell

My ring doorbell goes not once not twice but three times I enter thinking it may be the postman or a parcel or something important for them to be constantly ringing my ring doorbell I find a salesman at my door and tells me he has pushed a leaf through the letterbox thinking nobody was in. I explain on the ring doorbell that I will have a look at his leaflet when I get home from work and I could get into trouble if I stayed too long talking I get given the V sign and a mouthful from him!!!
All of this has been recorded on my ringing doorbell

A bright yellow door

I've just had all my windows,a stunning yellow door with little square windows , all my guttering, facias and down pipes done with this company and im ecstatic with the results. The sales rep Ray visited us at a weekend and gave us an excellent service. The whole job was done in a day and all the workers involved did a brilliant job especially the window fitters a husband and wife team. Wow did they work hard and to an excellent standard. I can not praise them enough. The overall price was amazing. I can strongly recommend this company.

Scratched car

So my wife and I have just come back from Tenerife our neighbours next door had some work done while we’ve been away changing some windows. We found some nails that clearly fallen under our car which I appreciate accident happen but what’s annoyed me most is a big scratch down the side of my door and nobody took the liberty popping a note through our door to apologise and offered to rectify the matter. I’ve tried to call the office but no one seems to answer

No cold callers

Thump thump at my door
No cold call sign clearly visible
I go to the door to see who it is and get handed a pamphlet straight into my hand I asked them to leave and pointed to the clear sign. He then attempted to snatch back the pamphlet out of my hand but hung onto it
As he walked out to my garden path, I hear him mutter and give me a filthy look as though I was in the wrong it was definitely this company and it was definitely one of the pamphlets

Cowboy

Blame shifters
Always someone else’s fault
Always a former employee that did not tell them
No accountability
They never knew about the issue
The person you need to speak to is currently on a break or you’re the one you need to speak to is always praying
How many times does someone need to pray in a day? Are they praying they can scam another customer or praying on how much they can get away with?
Why does it always seem to be a case of former employees? Why do they always leave? Why is it you asked to speak to the owner but the owner is never present?

Condensation never rectified

I called the office on behalf of my partner as we had some work done from this company before Covid and have a 10 year guarantee on our conservatory roof, the units have blown and misted up and have asked for them to come and rectify this multiple times they tell me I have to speak to someone named Pete. I asked for the person‘s name who I’m speaking to at the time and I am quite certain it is the same person, Charlie or Gary who proclaimed to be just a manager, not the owner but if you’re going into company house you will find four people listed but I replied comment that there is only one owner I bought a lot of lies listed and raise my concerns. Multiple promises have been made to come out to fix this. We waiting for them. We even call on the day to doublecheck and make sure they are definitely coming. Yes yes we promise we promise we are coming. We are coming but they never show they never rectify their work.

Stop calling my Landline

Ring ring goes my Landline
Hello, it’s First Choice calling how are you Mrs. Smith?
We have on our record we spoke to you sometime ago regarding changing some windows on your property. Did you ever get the work done?
Yes, I said and I have told many people at your company to remove my data from your system and to stop calling
They apologise and agreed to remove my system details
This is a constant repeat time and time again and has been going on way before Covid even happened
When customers asked for their details to be removed, why do you fail to do this?
The reviews I am reading online today are absolutely shocking to say the least and I believe that they are true based on my experience on phone calls and the constant bombardment I get I must have had about 10 to 15 calls this year alone

First Choice more like last choice at best

Back in February time we had a knock at the door a salesman informed us they were doing some work for a neighbour nearby
My partner agreed to an appointment with Jordan who gave us a leaflet and contact details on
We had a gentleman named Ray in our house for almost 4 hours to quote a door and three windows
We receive multiple follow-up calls from Ray and others in the office as well as a couple of calls from Jordan to see if we wanted to go ahead with the work
We kindly said we would like to get further quote before proceeding any further as the cost of the work to be done seem quite steep. I wanted to make sure we were getting good value for money.
Since then we have had Jordan back again this week at our front door asking if we would like to go ahead with the work and informed us once more more work has been done for yet another neighbour
I decided to go and knock on the original neighbours house over the road from February to see there workmanship and thoughts as I was becoming rather concerned by the pushy sales tactics and why they needed to be so ruthless
The amount of headache I have received myself in calls to follow up on the quotation was bad enough but to see the mess that they created for my neighbour was shocking in itself
It was a half ass job and my neighbour has been unable to get the work rectified and has seem to be begun legal proceedings against them
I am so glad I did not choose First Choice to do my work as to be quite frank they wouldn’t even be my last choice

Jekyll and Hyde?

Some punk knocked my door yesterday asked if I was interested in a quote on my gutters, I said I wanted to check their reviews out before deciding whether to go ahead or not and if I was interested, I would call-in. I was also interested in the back door and some windows to match the front of the house the same punk well built not a local lad kept pressing for my details. I was intrigued as to why he was trying so hard to get information out of me for a quotation I’ve been reading quite a lot of reviews today and they’re quite alarming to say the least. I also see a couple of positive ones but question how legit those ones seem to be based on the interaction I had my own front door it’s almost like Jekyll and Hyde
If anything is to go by on the reviews and the amount of negativity that is listed I’m quite glad I did not give my details out for a quotation as I would not want to be messed around or ripped off!!!

Good day team First choice.

Good day team First choice.
Sorry it has taken a fee weeks to get the review done.

All i can say is that i trusted this company about 4 weeks ago as i got broken into i called a local company to where i live.
I was advised by them that they only manufacture items and to speak to First Choice as they cover my area.

From my First phone call to finish has been more than 5 star.

THANK YOU AGAIN

Unprofessional liars

Sat in the garden with my newspaper enjoying this fine British weather that we don’t get to enjoy very often I just sat down with a cup of coffee to do the crossword after feeding my fish, I could hear over the fence hello hello I get up to investigate and see who is calling and I do not recognise their voice as I open my gate. I find First Choice once more at my front door now you might think there’s nothing wrong with that and perhaps there isn’t but this is the third time this year and we’re only in April 3 times in four months the same character at my front door to inform me they are doing get more work from my neighbours? I’ve kindly politely said I’m not interested and wish for no further work on my property due to my age and I want to enjoy it. I have said this to them more than once before and I’ve been polite about it. I didn’t catch the fellow’s name. I did not want one of his leaflets as he walked off to knock on the next door neighbours property I heard him say some remark that I shall not repeat on here that was un polite & derogatory even went on to say to my next-door neighbour that he had just spoken to me and we were giving a quote at my property to which we were not booked in for any quotation of any sorts. I’m after he left I went to my neighbour and told him this and he himself with not impressed by the lies told a short period of time later the same gentleman went back to my neighbours property asking why he had not confirmed the appointment and why he had not answered his phone to the office my neighbour explained to him that he had lied to my neighbour and when pressed on this got quite aggressive and slammed the gate shut

Scumbags

Who thinks it is acceptable to book a vulnerable old man with the start of dementia and has had his power-of-attorney taken from him all witnessed by a neighbour, and caught on ringing doorbell!!!!!
What lowlife scum, would do this to an 83-year-old man? That’s just the lowest of the low!!!!
Luckily, you were stopped!!!
