I signed the contract, paid my BTW, registered the car in my name at the RDW, activated my insurance — you know, the boring stuff responsible adults do. Silly me, I thought that meant I could actually drive my own car home.

But no! Financial Lease Nederland's trusted partner dealer in Boekel (Van Doorn Automotive) had other plans. Apparently my car was being held hostage until Financial Lease Nederland processed THEIR payment to the dealer — a payment that, according to their OWN contract (Art. 3.3), has absolutely nothing to do with me. Funny how that works.

So I spent my entire day — morning to evening — sitting at a dealership in the middle of nowhere, reading contract articles out loud to people who apparently never read what they signed. I felt like a free legal consultant. You're welcome.

And here's the best part: the payment WAS actually made. The dealer had the confirmation. He just... didn't trust it. So I sat there the whole day for nothing, while the dealer questioned the legitimacy of a bank transfer from the leasing company he signed a contract with. Peak professionalism.

But the real cherry on top? When I finally demanded my keys, the dealer's father and son duo physically tried to prevent me from leaving the office. Nothing says "professional business partner" quite like a kidnapping attempt over a bank transfer that already went through.

Dear Financial Lease Nederland: maybe, just maybe, screen your partner dealers? Or at the very least, warn your customers to bring a lawyer and a survival kit.

One star, because zero isn't an option.

They are slow, unprofessional, unresponsive and untrustful.

I have never received worse service than this.
It took weeks to get the car, you lost my documents, you tried to change the contract and the offer without asking my permission, you lied to me on the phone thinking I was the one 'last idiot on earth, like the cherry on the cake after weeks of waiting the offer received from you and the monthly amounts did not match the real offer from Santander.
You have done a sloppy job and with little professionalism and customer care, it seems that in Your office lacks someone to monitor the situation.

Check engine lamp is on i was allready on warranty 2 times auto has not been fixed Additionally, when braking, you can smell the brakes

Despite my problem with the Dutch language, purchasing a new car became possible, the advisor who helped me was very professional. All matters were dealt with quickly and without problems.
